Henry Jennings frowned, unwilling to leave, afraid the old master might say sothing to agitate Yvette Aston.

"Is this woman more important than your grandfather now?" the old master angrily questioned.

Henry remained silent, lowering his head for a long ti. "Sumrs, co with Dad outside."

Sumrs turned to her mother, unwilling to go.

Yvette cupped Sumrs’ cheeks. "Go outside and wait for Mom, it’s alright, Grandpa just wants to have a little chat with Mom."

Sumrs nodded, leaving with worry.

The room was left with only Yvette, the old master, and the assistant, who was the first to speak. "Miss Aston, na your condition, what will it take for you to willingly give up custody of the child?"

"Sumrs is mine." Yvette clenched her fingers tightly. "I’ve discussed it with Henry, the child is mine. He won’t contest it, and I won’t sue him for rape."

Yvette took a deep breath, looking up at Old Master Jennings. This wasn’t her fault, nor was there any sha in it.

Sumrs’ existence was an accident, but it was not what she willingly chose back then.

The old master’s expression darkened instantly. "Ha, Miss Aston, you have quite the tactics."

Yvette bit her lip, her voice hoarse. "I have nothing much to lose, nor do I want anything from the Jennings Family. If you’re worried, I can sign an agreent that Sumrs has nothing to do with the Jennings Family."

The old master squinted his eyes. "You should be aware that if I sue for custody of Sumrs, your chances of winning aren’t great."

"Old Master, Henry has a marital arrangent with the Bell Family; he will marry and have children of his own. Sumrs’ existence would be detrintal to the union between the Bell Family and the Jennings Family. Rather than impacting your cooperation, it would be better to conceal Sumrs’ identity. He is my son and doesn’t belong to the Jennings Family," Yvette negotiated with the old master. "Moreover, I now have a stable job and inco source. As the child’s mother, I don’t believe you would necessarily win."

"Unfortunately, you’ve been in prison," the old master said, pressing Yvette to her lowest point.

Her ti in prison was a stain she could never erase in this lifeti.

She was a burden to Sumrs her whole life.

What kind of good child can a mother who’s been in prison raise?

"Sumrs is under my brother’s na." Yvette looked up at Old Master Jennings. "I don’t think making a big fuss and suing will have any positive impact on Henry or Apex."

Old Master Jennings gave Yvette a aningful look, once thinking she might seize the chance to make excessive demands, her greedy deanor being repulsive.

It seed she was actually a clever woman, knowing how to discuss matters with him thodically.

Indeed, the old master did not want to go down the lawsuit path.

Once it reached the court, Henry and Yvette’s issues would be exposed publicly, which wouldn’t be beneficial for Henry or Apex.

"Since Sumrs is a child of the Jennings Family, we absolutely won’t ignore him. Sumrs needs a good learning and educational environnt. I will allocate a monthly education fund of 300,000 for you to care for Sumrs, and you shall bring Sumrs to Montville to see once a month. If Sumrs doesn’t receive a good education from you, I will forcibly take him away and not let you see him until he is eighteen."

The conditions set by Old Master Jennings weren’t harsh, entirely out of consideration for Sumrs.

"Sumrs doesn’t need the Jennings Family’s education fund." Yvette clenched her hands, bowing to Old Master Jennings. "I understand your real intention in keeping , it’s not only because of Sumrs, but also because of Henry."

The old master showed so appreciation; this Yvette, although seemingly humble, was actually quite smart.

"Henry and I, there’s never a possibility, so you don’t have to worry, Old Master. You should trust your grandson; he is more rational than anyone and won’t abandon the union with the Bell Family for ." Yvette turned and left.

"Old Master, this Yvette, she seems to want nothing, but I’m afraid she only speaks so well..." the assistant was a bit worried.

"She’s in ridia, not much she can stir up. Keep an eye on her. If she makes any mistakes in caring for Sumrs, bring the child back to ." The old master spoke calmly, glancing at the assistant. "What is the Bell Family’s stance?"

"The dia has been suppressed. Currently, there’s no leak of the news about Claudia Bell being taken by the police. The Bell Family’s intention is to announce the union once Miss Claudia is released." The assistant spoke softly.

The old master pondered, Henry has always been obedient, hoping this ti would be no exception.

He was just afraid this Yvette might beco a variable.

...

Outside the room.

Henry held Sumrs, waiting for Yvette to co out.

"Did the old master give you a hard ti?"

Yvette shook her head, reaching out to take Sumrs. "President Jennings, we’re going ho now."

"Yvette, rember what I said, think it through." Henry frowned, thinking he had spoiled Yvette too much, allowing her such an attitude towards him.

"Henry..." Yvette paused, turning back to look at Henry. "You have your own life to live. If you can’t give what I want, then please stay away from ."

Henry frowned. "Yvette, you’re too greedy."

Yvette gave a sarcastic smile and stepped into the elevator.

Indeed, she was too greedy, but it was just an excuse to push Henry out of her world.

"Mom, will they take away?" Sumrs hugged Yvette’s neck, asking softly.

"No..." Yvette shook her head with a hoarse voice.

Sumrs rubbed against Yvette. "Mom, did I worry you?"

"Why did you go with that grandpa?" Yvette asked softly.

"That grandpa got a paternity test, saying I’m their family’s child, wants to take away. If I don’t go with him obediently, he will take away from your side." Sumrs was really scared.

"No, Mom won’t let anyone take you away."

Leaving the hotel, Yvette saw Ethan Grant waiting for her by the car.

Perhaps it was because of him standing there, it seed even the twilight was a bit brighter.

"Dad!" Sumrs instinctively called out happily, but then lowered her head in disappointnt.

That wasn’t Dad.

"They didn’t give you a hard ti?" Ethan asked once.

Yvette shook her head. "They offered an education fund for Sumrs, I refused."

"What does Sumrs want to eat?" Ethan was in a good mood, noting that Yvette knew to refuse.

"Sumrs isn’t picky," Sumrs’ eyes brightened at the sight of Ethan.

A child’s affection is always so pure.

"My brother sent a ssage saying he needs to work overti tonight and needs to temporarily look after Sumrs, Mr. Grant... I’m taking Sumrs back to stay at ho tonight, we’ll just grab a cab." Yvette was planning to take Sumrs back to the rental room.

Ethan glanced at Yvette. "Let’s go ho together, the chef asked for leave tonight."

Sumrs cleverly hugged Ethan’s neck. "I really want to eat Mom’s homade noodles, Mom, could you make so for and Dad?"

"There will be overti pay." Ethan didn’t give Yvette a chance to refuse, putting Sumrs in the car, secretly smiling to himself.

Yvette hurriedly waved her hands. "No, no need for overti pay."

"The lady of the house has sothing to do, and the chef also asked for leave. Henceforth my three als a day and daily living are going to be a bit hard on Assistant Aston," Ethan stated earnestly.

Yvette quickly nodded. "Don’t worry, Mr. Grant, I’ll quickly get to know your dietary habits."

"The saved costs from the chef and the lady of the house will be transferred to you by Christopher Carter," Ethan spoke as if dealing with work matters with Yvette.

Actually, he understood Yvette’s strong self-esteem, finding different ways to give her money, so she wouldn’t need a di from the Jennings Family.

He could support ten Yvette and Sumrs, no need for the Jennings Family to give an education fund?
