"Ma’am, you’re awake."

At seven thirty in the morning, the maid woke Yvette Aston.

Yvette sat up in a panic, nervously looking around.

When did she co back...?

Was she brought back by Ethan Grant?

"W-where’s Mr. Grant?" Yvette asked quietly.

"Sir is in the dining room," the maid replied with a smile.

Yvette got out of bed nervously, hurriedly washed up, and ran out. "I’m... I’m sorry."

"Have breakfast." Ethan Grant spoke indifferently, his face showing no change in emotion.

Yvette sat down with her head lowered and then noticed that the wound on her finger, bitten by herself, had been treated with a bandage.

"Mr. Grant, your collaboration in Coronet City..." Yvette asked softly.

"In the afternoon, no rush," Ethan noted that Yvette, when nervous, bit herself, either her fingers or her lips.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t an to bother you." Yvette felt very guilty.

"Then stay away from Henry Jennings from now on." Ethan Grant put down his coffee cup, his voice indifferent.

Yvette couldn’t figure out Ethan Grant, didn’t know if this ant he was angry.

She wanted to apologize, but Ethan Grant spoke first. "Have your al."

Yvette’s eyes reddened, and she nodded.

Once Sumrs’ situation stabilizes, she will leave as soon as possible, not wanting to trouble Ethan Grant any further.

After eating breakfast in silence, Yvette wanted to go to work.

"This is for you." Ethan Grant pushed a new phone in front of Yvette.

"I’m sorry..." Yvette choked, she had lost her phone again.

"Rember our relationship, since it’s a collaboration, we should mutually utilize each other. In the future, when sothing happens, the first thing you should do is tell , not make decisions on your own." Ethan Grant was relatively calm, but his words were sowhat heavy.

Last night Yvette was frightened, Ethan Grant didn’t bla her imdiately.

But today, clear-headed, so things needed to be explained.

Yvette couldn’t possibly not guess what Henry Jennings thought of her.

Since she could guess, she should avoid it as much as possible.

"I’m sorry..." Yvette tightly clenched her fingers.

Was she...being disliked by Ethan Grant?

Sure enough, she was only disliked by others.

"It’s not that you did sothing wrong, Holly Ziegler is your friend, and it’s right to rush over there, but next ti you should choose , not Henry Jennings." Ethan Grant got up and walked into the dressing room. "Co help pick a tie."

Yvette sniffed, quickly running over.

She compared the color of Ethan Grant’s suit and picked a tie in the sa color sche. "Is this okay?"

With a slight smile, Ethan Grant acknowledged the aesthetic of his life assistant.

At least Yvette picked the one he favored at first sight.

"Do you know how to tie a tie?" Ethan Grant asked.

Yvette nodded, speaking softly. "I used to help Jayden Grant..."

Halfway through her sentence, Yvette stopped talking.

On tiptoe, Yvette helped Ethan Grant with his tie.

Perhaps because they were too close, Yvette clearly sensed Ethan Grant’s mood plumt, and that noble, cold face visibly darkened.

"I’m sorry..." Realizing she said sothing wrong, Yvette instinctively apologized.

"Go to work." Ethan Grant said in a deep voice.

With her head down, Yvette left in disappointnt.

She had upset Ethan Grant again.

After Yvette left, Ethan Grant frowned and rubbed his temples.

Was it because he hadn’t been around a woman for so many years? Not only did he not dislike Yvette’s closeness, but he even...

In that mont when Yvette stood on tiptoe to tie his tie, he actually...

With a less than great expression, Ethan Grant left the room with a low air pressure.

"Mr. Grant, today’s tie choice is nice." Christopher Carter said, sporting huge dark circles, smiling goofily.

Ethan Grant’s expression was darker than Christopher Carter’s dark circles, ignoring him completely and getting into the car.

Christopher Carter was left bewildered, wondering if Mr. Grant had woken up in a bad mood.

"Mr. Grant, Yvette has withdrawn the case, and Jayden Grant has been released, taken ho by Arthur Grant. The storm hasn’t passed yet, so he’ll probably stay low for a while." Christopher Carter reported carefully.

"When did Jayden Grant and Yvette et?" Ethan Grant asked indifferently.

"Weren’t they famously childhood sweethearts? Didn’t they grow up together? Weren’t they each other’s first love? Don’t you rember when Jayden Grant, at eighteen, went out into the rain in the middle of the night to give Yvette a birthday chocolate he made himself?"

Christopher Carter spoke spiritedly, unaware of any danger. "Seventeen, eighteen-year-old girl, who wouldn’t be moved? It’s her first love, of course. I can’t imagine what Jayden Grant thinks now, lovesick hatred?"

"You can stop talking now." Ethan Grant said with a sullen face, emotions unclear.

Christopher opened his mouth, huh? Wasn’t it he who asked?

The car was silent for a long ti before Ethan Grant spoke softly. "Childish."

"Huh?" Christopher almost forgot what he had said earlier.

Who was childish? What was childish?

...

Yvette endured three days at the company, during which she faced countless cold remarks and ridicule, all of which she pretended not to hear.

"Yvette, passing the assessnt period doesn’t guarantee you can stay in the company." Lilith Larson called Yvette into the office, looking at the assessnt form Christopher passed over. "It’s a perfect score, Special Assistant Carter gave you a very high evaluation."

Yvette looked at Lilith in surprise; Christopher actually gave her a perfect score?

She thought Christopher didn’t like her and wouldn’t give her a high score, but unexpectedly...

"She parachuted in, who knows what kind of ssy relationship she has with the Special Assistant, probably even scored full marks in bed." Lilith’s assistant sneered.

"Didn’t you all hear she’s slept with all the trust fund babies?"

Yvette looked at the employnt notice, remained silent for a long ti.

If she couldn’t stay at the company, she wouldn’t care about these people’s gossip.

But now that she was already Ethan Grant’s life assistant, if these people continued to defa her, it would tarnish Ethan Grant’s image.

As a life assistant, she couldn’t allow her boss to suffer even a bit of damage.

"Were you standing by the bed when I slept with them?" Yvette took a deep breath and asked the assistant.

The other person was visibly taken aback, stunned by Yvette’s question.

"Who doesn’t know what you are? Plenty have slept with you. You’re quite famous, a convict, stealing twenty years of a rich heiress’s life, wasn’t that you?"

Yvette picked up the employnt notice, her voice hoarse. "We are colleagues. Defaming tarnishes the company and yourself. Without evidence and presence, defaming will get you sued."

"Are you suing now? I can help you provide evidence; I’ve taken screenshots of their baseless rumors in the group chat." At the door, Christopher Carter leaned against the door fra, his voice low.

Lilith’s assistant panicked, looking at Lilith with fear. "Miss Larson."

"Christopher, we’re all colleagues, there’s no need." Lilith stood up with a smile, trying to smooth things over.

Christopher said nothing, his gaze landing on Yvette.

"I have the right to sue," Yvette said with a hoarse voice.

"Okay, I’ll help you report it. Spreading obscene rumors, defamation, slandering with over five hundred in the group can result in imprisonnt." Christopher took out his phone, called the police, and looked at the assistant. "Spreading rumors and imprisonnt, and you’ll co out a convict yourself."

Christopher didn’t want to ddle, but his boss, Mr. Grant, surprisingly ordered him to help Yvette catch a chicken, to scare a group of monkeys.
