On the other side, Shen ngxue held the gift box given to her by Dai Zhize in her hands, just about to leave.
"Sis! Where are you going?"
At that mont, Shen Ruyun suddenly appeared behind her and spoke slowly.
Shen ngxue was startled for a mont, but when she turned her head and saw it was Shen Ruyun, she felt relieved.
She said, annoyed, "You brat, are you trying to scare your sister to death?"
Shen Ruyun noticed Shen ngxue was hiding sothing behind her back and looked flustered.
She quickly glanced behind her, her face changing drastically as she exclaid:
"Why are you holding that gift box? Are you planning to return the ring Dai Zhize gave you?"
Hearing this, Shen ngxue replied calmly, "That’s right."
"Sis! If you do this, our Shen Family will completely fall out with the Dai Family, and mom and dad will definitely be angry!"
Shen Ruyun exclaid in disbelief, but then a knowing smile appeared on her face.
"It seems you still can’t let go of Su Ming in your heart. I’ve always said he is much better than that sickly-looking Dai Zhize!"
Hearing this, Shen ngxue’s face flushed red, and she burst into laughter.
"Alright, I’m leaving. There are so things that must be done. As for the consequences, we’ll just have to see how things go step by step."
Shen ngxue murmured, gazing into the distant sky.
Then she walked out of the house, went to the car, opened the door, and got in.
Soon after, she drove a Ferrari to the Snowfall Café.
As soon as she got out of the car, she heard a voice from not far away: "ngxue!"
Upon hearing this, Shen ngxue looked towards the source of the voice and saw a figure standing at the café entrance.
He was tall, wearing a black jacket, with black-frad glasses.
This figure was Dai Zhize.
Seeing Shen ngxue get out of the car, a warm smile appeared on his face, and he quickly waved to her.
Shen ngxue also smiled and nodded, then walked into the café with him and sat by a window.
"ngxue, this is the first ti you’ve invited out alone, and I’m very happy about it."
Dai Zhize spoke with a smile, appearing very gentle and refined.
"Yes, the reason I asked you out today is to return this to you."
Shen ngxue got straight to the point, taking out the gift box he had given her last ti and placing it on the table.

"ngxue, although your words are straightforward, they’re too cruel. I wish you would keep pretending affection; that way, I might not be as pained as I am now."
After speaking, Dai Zhize asked another question:
"Do you have soone you like?"
Shen ngxue replied, "Yes."
"I understand. I’ll take the ring back, but I want you to give a chance to try pursuing you again; otherwise, I won’t be reconciled."
After putting on his glasses, Dai Zhize spoke sincerely.
However, he didn’t wait for Shen ngxue to respond and stood up, turning to walk out of the café.
Seeing this, Shen ngxue sighed helplessly.
Soon, Dai Zhize drove back ho, tossing the gift box containing the ring onto the table.
Shen Man ca out of the bedroom at this mont, her face changed drastically upon seeing the gift box on the table.
"What’s going on?" she asked with a cold and authoritative voice.
"I don’t want to marry Shen ngxue anymore, so I took the ring back from her."
Sitting on the sofa, Dai Zhize’s voice was filled with fatigue and sadness.
"Why would you do this? Didn’t you say that Shen ngxue was the woman you’ve always wanted to marry? How co you suddenly don’t want to marry her anymore?"
Shen Man’s face showed disbelief as she questioned him.
Looking at her son’s lost and dejected appearance, she felt anxious inside.
Dai Zhize was already in his thirties, almost forty.
At this rate, with his indecisiveness about relationships, when would this marriage ever be ford?
Shen Man just wanted to hurry and hold a grandchild, which is why she was so concerned about Dai Zhize’s marital status.
"I suddenly realized we’re not suitable; isn’t that reason enough?"
Clearly frustrated with his constantly nagging mother, Dai Zhize walked towards the door after speaking.
Even after hearing this, Shen Man still found Dai Zhize’s words unbelievable and incomprehensible.
Just this morning, he had cheerfully told her,

Yet in just half a day, how had his attitude changed so drastically?
With this in mind, a theory popped into Shen Man’s head: that Shen ngxue herself had returned the ring to Dai Zhize.
Dai Zhize apparently didn’t want Shen Man to have any negative thoughts about Shen ngxue, hence he claid it was his decision to take it back.
Shen Man then dialed Shen ngxue’s number: "ngxue? Auntie wants to ask if the ring design wasn’t to your liking?"
Upon hearing, Shen ngxue spoke apologetically:
"Auntie Shen, it’s not like that. It’s all my fault. I suddenly realized Zhize and I aren’t very suitable, so I returned the ring to him."
Upon hearing this, Shen Man imdiately understood and coldly sneered:
"You’re already secondhand goods, and still so picky? If you don’t like my son, he doesn’t like you either! I’ll tell you, our Dai Family won’t be trampled on by anyone! We won’t tolerate anyone stamping on our dignity with impudence!"
Upon hearing this, tears welled up in Shen ngxue’s eyes, soon overflowing and sliding down her cheeks.
