There were two enemies, both very buff n, and probably at the peak of awakened level.

One of them also had a Class D sword, and he probably had a few skills, otherwise he wouldn’t be so confident when they were outnumbered.

They also had that type of face that people just wanted to punch, and after they opened their mouths, one would really do it for real.

"Well, well, well. You’ve gotten far," the sidekick, a spear user, said.

Interestingly, he was looking at Remus. "Are you really going to pass this ti?"

Remus gritted his teeth, and Finn’s eyebrows rose. Did they know each other?

As if hearing his thoughts, Remus made a bitter comnt. "He’s part of the group of that man who stabbed ," he said. "He used to be my friend, but served as a distraction instead. I wouldn’t have let down my guard if it weren’t for him!"

The sidekick smirked and was about to mock him when Finn nodded. "Well, it seems like he still failed the exam even after doing all that. So shaful."

The fact that the bloke was here ant he was still taking the exam. He was definitely not strong enough to have followed the examinees to the danger zone when his own level was barely tier 3.

It was true, and the spearman’s face reddened in embarrassnt. "YOU!!!" he yelled, but he forced himself to calm down. In his mind, he told himself that it was below him to get angry at soone who was dying soon.

Instead, his eyes stayed on Finn’s halberd and sparkled.

"I like that weapon of yours," the spear user said, looking at the other man. "Can I please have it, boss?"

"Heh, I should give it to my brother, that’d be the best revenge cuz he was humiliated."

"Ah yes of course."

Finn crossed his arms. "We don’t have ti for this," he said, looking at his companion to gesture to them to go.

Before he could leave, he felt sothing sharp approaching them and blocking their way, and they stepped back by instinct.

"My brother was set to be an adventurer with today, but you ruined our plans!!"

Finn looked at him, wondering what they were talking about.

He then looked at the ’boss’ features. Ugly.

In retrospect, had similar features to the dude he beat during the first exam, the arrogant one with fire skill. "Ah, he’s better off practicing his skill."

He tutted, sounding like a disappointed old man. "It must not have been cheap. Such a waste of money."

"You—"

The man imdiately lunged forward with his sword, and the air surrounding the blade heated up. [Fire Slash]!!

A slice of fire headed straight to Finn. It was a mage’s attack, though the man also seed to be trained with the sword.

Remus and Maria flinched, but the sidekick used this distraction to sprint to them with a sharp blade. Remus would’ve been stabbed had he been a little late to move.

Like this, the two were imdiately preoccupied with the idiot making random moves. It wasn’t that they were weaker, just that there was no logic in the enemy’s attacks, and he was using all his strength with each reckless move.

The guy also had a sort of skill that allowed him to go berserk, causing the other two to go on the defensive, at least initially.

Finn also noted that although Maria was using a sword, she had a very stable center of gravity. She could really defend herself well, and this allowed Remus to focus on his strikes.

Finn reckoned that they would not lose, but it wouldn’t be an instantaneous fight either. They also wouldn’t want to get injured because there were still beasts lurking around, which was why they couldn’t just recklessly go after the berserking bastard.

Anyway, while they were focused on the enemy, this left Finn alone with the other man, who kept showing off his proud skills.

Finn gracefully avoided his attack.

This was followed with [Fire Wall], which created a wall (it wasn’t that tall, just one ter for this guy) to supposedly trap him while he made his finishing blow.

Finn smirked, stabbing the soil between them. "You’re not the only ones who know how to use skills."

[Sticky Soil]

The range of the soil was just enough to cover one side of the firewall as well as the ground imdiately in front of the attacker. It was only half his feet, but since he was busy concentrating on using his fire skill, he was unconsciously leaning forward, so he was imdiately imbalanced by the technique.

"What—" the man gasped, feeling himself fall forward—straight to the firewall he created.

"AHH!" He scread, imdiately putting out the fire, but he was still burned. He scread as he felt the burns on his face to his shoulders, rolling around as if it would help lessen the pain.

"Boss!" The spearman gasped and imdiately thought of running away (he did not even consider rescuing their boss), and this lack of focus was what ultimately caused his demise.

The sidekick was fighting the two at this ti, and Marie kicked him in another direction, where Remus raised his weapon to stab at him.

"AHHH!" the man gasped as he felt a deep gash on his stomach. On the other hand, the other man managed to gather his bearings and pull himself out of the soil, which had already hardened as the technique had already expired.

Finn quickly stabbed his leg, just to stop him from moving.

"I’LL KILL YOU! I’LL KILL YOU!!!"

"WE WILL GET YOU!!"

It seed like they had the last bit of power, and the two lunged towards the nearest person. Remus unconsciously shielded Maria and kicked the spearman away, while Finn’s spear stabbed straight at the man’s stomach.

They were still alive, and Finn shakily pulled back his spear.

Remus sighed and raised his hand, killing the spearman, and the blood splattered on his pants. And then he headed to the other guy, who was already bleeding, but they couldn’t leave anything that would cause them trouble later on.

Finn was a little pale this ti. He had no problem killing beasts, but killing humans wasn’t easy. Even when he had seen many stabbings and gangster fights growing up, he himself had not killed anyone.

"He will continue to attack us," Remus explained, seeing his pale face.

"I agree," Finn said, and he just looked away, letting the other two take care of the two n. Finn would later participate by using the [Fire Blade] to burn them, intent on making them disappear.

Hopefully, there wouldn’t be a ti when he’d be forced to directly murder fellow humans, too.
