As the wolf’s body hit the ground with a heavy thud, Alec staggered, nearly collapsing, the mont the wolf’s claws pulled free from his flesh, blood gushed from his wounds in torrents, far more than was safe.

Before he could lose his footing completely, Titan was already there, catching him and letting Alec lean against his icy fra like a wall of stone. Gritting his teeth, Alec pressed his left hand against his torn stomach, conjuring red flas that seared his own skin, cauterizing the wound and halting the bleeding for now.

He had hoped to finish this battle unscathed, but things never went as planned, forcing his weary body to move, he dragged himself toward the wolf’s carcass, despite his exhaustion, he pulled its massive head closer, groaning through the effort.
