Chapter 1369: Chapter 1365: The Tragedy of the Lan Family (Part 5)

“Yes, I am their mother, but I feel ashad for having them. You don’t know how much I didn’t want to carry them!” An Yuqian, usually so gentle and weak, suddenly spoke with a hint of venom. “I betrayed Xinhan when I gave birth to them, the brother and sister. At that ti, I even wished I could strangle Qiao Yi’an! Why do they have to live in this world? It’s you, you who ruined my entire life!”

She felt guilty towards Xiaren for leaving her in Shanshui Town when she was so little. But towards Yi’an, her feelings were more indifferent. When he was born, she even felt resentnt towards the child because of her guilt towards Lan Xinhan.

Qiao Junzhen was utterly shocked because he never expected An Yuqian to have such thoughts!

She could bla and hate him, but how could she put all the bla on Xiaren and Yi’an? How was he supposed to tell the siblings that their mother had never looked forward to their birth, or even wished they had never been born at all!

“Get out!”

Qiao Junzhen didn’t want to hear another word. The word “get out” was spoken with utter horror; he feared if this woman said one more word, he would wish to strangle her with his bare hands.

An Yuqian was so scared she took a step back, quickly passed him by, and left the basent.

Not until she exited the Qiao Family’s main door did An Yuqian finally begin to calm her frantic heart. Of course, she couldn’t catch a cab at the gates of the Qiao Family’s villa, and she didn’t know how long she’d been walking before she finally flagged down a taxi. She limped into the cab and, after giving a specific location, it sped away.

When An Yuqian arrived joyfully at the Lan Family, Lan Xinhan was just inside eting his soon-to-be bride—Li Mingjun.

It seed the Lan Family had changed servants and the butler; An Yuqian saw unfamiliar faces at the door but didn’t have ti to ponder why and asked them to open the door.

“May I ask who you are…?” The gatekeeper didn’t recognize her. He had been assigned here just a few days ago. Seeing her in such a disheveled state, he hesitated a bit.

An Yuqian, however, remained as kindly as ever, “I am Mrs. Lan, the man’s wife of this household, let in quickly.”

The gatekeeper laughed upon hearing her, “Hey, our future Mrs. Lan is still inside. Where did you co from that you dare pose as Miss Li?”

An Yuqian was taken aback and retorted, “Miss Li? I am An Yuqian…”

“There’s no An Yuqian here, only Li Mingjun. Li Mingjun is our future Mrs. Lan.” The gatekeeper imdiately guessed who was at the door and hastily drove her away. “You’ve got the wrong place, hurry and leave. Our master has important matters!”

Hearing this, An Yuqian finally understood, her trembling body feeling as if the world was collapsing.

Lan Xinhan no longer wanted her!

How could it be!

She didn’t believe it!

An Yuqian bit her lower lip hard, suddenly pounding on the door, “Husband, co out, husband…”

The commotion outside caught the attention of those inside.

Lan Xinhan was still inside entertaining his future father-in-law, while Li Mingjun sat on the sofa in a custom-made dress, the entire couch sunk under her overwhelming weight. Were it not for the sturdy quality of the sofa, it might have collapsed.

She shyly lowered her head, occasionally looking up at Lan Xinhan with affection.

Lan Xinhan felt a chill in his heart, yet he had to act sweet and affectionate with her.

Due to his previous indifferent attitude towards Li Mingjun, Mr. Li now treated him with a cold deanor, sitting by and watching indifferently. If it weren’t for his daughter’s insistence on marrying, he wouldn’t have stepped into the Lan Family by even half a step.
