“I do.”
The priest smiled, looking at Qiao Xiaren: “Qiao Xiaren, do you take Si Limo as your husband, to love him, respect him, remain faithful to him for life, through wealth and poverty, in sickness and in health, through success and failure, never leaving, always supporting, protecting him, sharing both joys and hardships, and building a healthy and happy family together, until death do you part?”
“I do.”
A round of applause sounded, along with deeply moving blessings. The priest was also sowhat touched; many years ago, it was said that the castle had hosted a similarly devoted couple.
Back then, during warti, that couple stayed together through life and death, and eventually had a happily ever after, said to be the grandparents of the groom.
Si Limo curved his lips, took out a ring from an exquisite box, and slowly slid it onto her finger.
