Chapter 521: Chapter 521 – Welcoming Party of Valkyries

“Hmmm!!”

“Co on! Do it harder!”

“I can’t.”

“Of course you can’t, I already said it’s too small.”

“It’s not small, you are too big.” Miriam grunted as she used her small hands to fit it in, “It didn’t have this problem with the others.”

Henry snorted at her reluctant look, “I’m build different.”

Miriam ignored his words and tried harder, “Co on… Fit!”

For those, who would take this series of words in an entirely spiraling sense… it’s not what you think, people.

Right now, Henry floated quietly with his hands out, watching with a fun look as Miriam tried to put on a black, rocky handcuffs that were just too small for his large, bulging hands.

The handcuffs weren’t regular ones, they were special. The black rock on it were actually Anti-Manic material. Instead of giving protection to the wearer, these ones restrained its wearer from any and all sigmat activity.

They were specially created cuffs that worked as magic sealing cuffs.

Normally, any criminal would have their rings removed after getting caught and wouldn’t need such cuffs, but there were a lot of unusual types that still had a segnt of their sigmat abilities even after removal of their ring.

It usually happened when soone was in contact with a ring for prolonged ti, which not only gave them additional power but also had harmful effects.

But the cuffs also had a side effect. They could weaken the physical ability of the wearer by a far margin, precisely why Miriam wanted to use it on .

After failing for the eighth ti, Miriam gasped and let go.

“Wait here, I’m going to get the Big Ones.”

‘You had bigger? Then why didn’t you-‘ Before my thoughts could finish, Chibi Miriam already went through the portal.

After she was gone, I start to think for a mont.

Is it okay to give up like this?

That thought went through a reluctant part of , a part that wanted to continue fighting until the very end. But that wasn’t possible, doing so would only do harm.

And it was okay with this. If they take in now, I wouldn’t be charged with massive cris, only that I fought with the Valkyries, smacked one into crippling state and put another in what could probably be coma.

‘…Huh, running away doesn’t seem much stupid now.’

My thoughts paused as I saw through the darkness at a portal opening and Miriam coming out with a much larger handcuff, almost too big for a size of her hand.

Miriam looked at the handcuff and before nodding satisfyingly, “This should work.” With that, she went on to put it on as I ask the obvious question.

“Why do you have a handcuff that big?”

“There was another case where the target was too big for regular size.”

“Oh, soone who’s as large as ?”

Miriam nodded while using her small hands to lock the large handcuffs which looked pretty ridiculous and cute at the sa ti, “Yes, it was a mutated gorilla. It went mad after an experint failure and caused a massacre in the surrounding villages.”

“The Gorilla was considered a valuable asset so we couldn’t kill it. This cuff was specially created to restrain it.”

I didn’t hear much as I focused on one thing, ‘So… I am comparable to a mad gorilla?’

Miriam didn’t notice my mild thoughts and finished locking the abnormal cuffs. She patted my arm and asked in concern, “Are they okay? It’s not too tight, is it? Are you comfortable in them, do you want loosen it more?”

It felt awkward, seeing her look so concerned about , yet I know that its genuine. Miriam was just like that, awkward in the mind and a cri to look at.

With everything done and hearing that I wasn’t going to rampage like a mad gorilla later, Miriam finally cancelled her ability and both of us appeared in the real world.

The first thing I noticed, I was surrounded.

And not by friends.

There were a lot of soldiers with full on gear equipped. All of them had their sharpened spears up, their full focus on . You could tell they were ready to strike at the first wrong step.

Yet they weren’t the real concern, it was the group of won standing before .

There were seven of them, all of them beautiful, except for a few but even they looked above average. What was most noticeable about them were the variety of weapon each had.

A Glaive, Falchion, Two Bladed Sword, Sickles, Dire Flail, Mace and a Kusarigama.

Each woman holding their designated weapon, looked more prepared and focused then all the soldiers combined. If I am sure the soldiers would strike at the wrong move, these batch were ready to launch themselves at the wrong look.

Among them was Marva, who looked the most uncomfortable with her Glaive.

But I found sothing beneath which was more surprising than the entourage of destruction.

Just one step away from , on the ground were many pieces of paper. The papers were all white and rectangular shaped, they also had so kinds of writings on them which didn’t belong to any language I understood.

Yet I recognized them instantly.

They were Tags, or more accurately, Bomb Tags.

Just like you’ve seen in chinese novels and shows, these were paper tags that had various powers to them according to their creation. For example, a Restriction seal that bound people’s movent.

The current Bomb Tags were the kind that would detonate instantly at their activation and could only be used once. These tags wouldn’t give off much powerful explosions, but they were still powerful enough to be cautious off.

And let tell you, with so many of them beneath , with one button, I’d probably lose a tooth… or leg.

The reason I recognized them so fast was because of their demand in the underworld. Tags like this, which even a normal person could use was quite sought after. They were quickly bought whenever they ca into storage, even if the price of one was similar to a Red Sigmat Ring.

I whistle at the welcoming party, “Arranged the best audience, huh.”

“What audience?” Miriam said with a confused tilt, “They are here to make sure you don’t cause trouble.”

“No, I ant that you arranged all these importan-… you know what, nothing. Forget what I said.” I sigh at Miriam’s usual mindset, “So where are you taking , besides the obvious.”

“To prison.”

“I said beside t-…” I shake my head and focus on the main thing, “Just disable the bombs.”

Miriam was about to do so when one of her teammates stopped her.

“Boss! What are you doing?” She said with an obvious shock, “He’s going to attack you the mont you disable those tags.”

Miriam looked at , “Are you?”

“Okay, now I’m getting restless of this cute act.” I say with slight anger, “Didn’t we have a five-minute talk of how I’m not going to kill or ‘rampage’ anyone?”

“That we did.” Miriam nodded and turned to the Valkyrie who stopped her previously, “See, he’s going to behave.”

“Wai- What?! You believe him? Didn’t he just almost ki-” The Valkyrie next to her placed a hand on the woman’s shoulder and shook her head, dismissively.

“Don’t… just don’t.” The Valkyrie with the Falchion said, her expression looked as if she was tired yet had long accepted Miriam’s uniqueness, “Listen to the boss, after that… just believe in your weapon.”

In the face of such reaction, Miriam only tilted her head and turned to as if asking what’s wrong.

“…Just take to jail.”
