Capítulo 502: Chapter 502 – Marika’s Call [ Part 1 ]
After that I tried to… I really did try to subvert the matter into sothing else and phase it as nothing, but Abigail wasn’t having it.
Pregnant won really do have strong grips.
So I told her everything.
How I t the stranger in the bar.
How we went ho and had a fantastic bang session, obviously not the latter part.
Then how we decided to keep it casual until I fucked up by massacring her soldiers and we ca to a standstill motion.
“Hah…” Abigail had a thoughtful look as she was clearly shocked, “I didn’t think Marika, out of everyone would actually do sothing like an affair.”
She tilted her head in understanding, “But in her case, I do understand why lonely won would want to find company… I just don’t understand why it’s you… again!”
“I swear to you… I didn’t know about her.”
Abigail had a deadpan look which quickly changed to a smirk.
“But there’s good in all this.”
“Really?”
She gave a steady nod, “Yes, now I finally have so solid material against her. To think her so carefully placed defenses would crumble with just one mistake… even if it ans you’d have to sleep with her for it.”
“Cough Cough!”
“But it also answers why she chose to place an alternative on that trial.” Abigail thoughtfully glanced at , “She has so care for you… I could use that later.”
“Now now.” I get up and pat her head gently, “Don’t think so much. Get so rest or all this thinking will affect your pregnancy.”
“You think so?” Abigail instantly changed her tone, “Will it cause the baby any problem?”
“Not in the short run… be it woul-”
“HE”
“Yes, I ant he… he would have a certain mindset growing up.”
“Good! We can’t let him have your mindset, or there would be endless rumors of bloated ladies in the court.”
“…”
…A few days of hiding out inside the mansion, which practically turned out to be a large nursery.
With nothing else to do but take care of my pregnant Fang Bang, I only spent ti with her.
It was not… unsatisfactory.
I thought it would be like a romantic hideaway in the Queen’s Affair, but instead it turned out to be taking care of a sowhat unbalanced about-to-be-mother.
Gone was the sweet, sultry and fun Fang Bang and her replacent was the vigilant, nit-picking and dangerously powerful Abigail.
The mornings went quiet as she would be in court and I relaxing. In the evening when she ca, that’s when the fun started.
Being the Queen and having absolute power in the kingdom sounded pretty good on paper but when the real job landed on you lap, shitload of work did too.
And those workloads followed her ho where , Abigail and Olenna looked at them before giving it to Abigail to sign. I couldn’t let her keep taking such pressure so I helped her.
As soon as she laid to rest, she would instantly start bickering about the people and their problems in court. Listening to her, it wasn’t as if she was complaining, I would actually feel pity for her.
It wasn’t just work with her, there were sweet monts too. Like the ti she snuggled up close to and slept, she slled so nice and sweet… surprisingly quiet as well.
Then there was the ti I felt her belly and had felt the baby’s kick. It felt so strong and youthful… I felt a strong thump in my chest as I knew this was actually my child.
I almost forgot to ntion but I t soone else too.
A bodyguard called Dove.
You wouldn’t believe her description if you didn’t see her. She was a hulking tall woman almost bigger than and wore heavy black armor that seed kind of villainous and her sword… it sohow seed resembling to but hers was actually shaped like one while mine was similar to a brick.
Dove was a new addition and Abigail trusted her. It was later that I heard Dove was actually sent by Hysteria to protect Abigail at this critical ti of her live.
Such a Loving Mother.
Dove seed like a nice person… its just all the silent stare she kept giving was a bit disturbing. I couldn’t see her face from her helt but I felt the dagger like stare at the back of my neck.
It didn’t feel intentionally hated… she was just like that.
She almost had a conversation with .
“Hey” Dove called as I was about to pass her by.
“Yeah” I look at her curiously, “You wanna say sothing.”
“Your sword…” She took a mont, “…is it-”
Then she went silent, turned around and walked away.
Yeah, that’s how the conversation went.
It was at this awkward ti that I found a strange companion.
“Who would think that we would sit together like this?” I say as I throw down a card, “Just chilling and playing cards.”
Olenna placed a card from the stack in her hands and calmly replied, “Well… I certainly can’t say that I thought you would fuck up big and hide under her majesty’s tail.”
“It wasn’t the least bit easy to predict…” She placed another card, “This one’s mine.”
“…”
Alright, so Olenna’s still a bitch but she’s a tolerable one… sowhat.
So when I received a letter from Marika, intending to et, I certainly wasn’t the least bit happy to leave the house… and Olenna.
…
The two horse luxurious carriage went steadily towards the address where Marika and I would et secretly. I was reading a newspaper inside the carriage and found an interesting topic.
“Hm… News of building a railway and constructing a new port of transport called Train?” I raise a brow at that, “It says that preliminary tests have shown sufficient safety capacities and so the commission for placing down rail tracks has started in various parts of the kingdom.”
I smile at that. It would be great when the Train would be build.
Not only would it help with transporting heavy cargo from long distances in the kingdom and make larger profits but it would help with general transport too.
No more would it take many days to travel various locations and cut off rocky rides.
Though I have Alice, it was always better to have a transportation that wouldn’t put at a random location or cut off a body part.
As the carriage ca closer to the house, I frowned shortly.
Looking through the carriage, ahead at the place, I see several Dragonoir soldiers surrounding the place.
Anyone would think that it’s a trap and run away. Yet I felt inclined to stay.
Because I didn’t think it would be a trap, if it were, she could easily hide them as she knew the location well.
The carriage stopped before the gate and I step down to see three Dragonoir soldiers holding off the gate.
They gave rough stares as they stepped aside and I went in.
I felt multiple dagger like stares around .
This soldiers did lose their friends and family to , so it was understandable.
Getting inside, the house didn’t have any guards. It was empty except for her and .
Marika quietly sat on a dining table, facing the window with a serene look.
Okay, now it seed more like a trap.
