Chapter 459: Chapter 459 – Is it Blue-Balled?
With my word, the bartender finally stopped cleaning the sa freaking glass since who knows how long and nodded, “Got it, sir.”
He gave a look to the waiter and bouncers as they understood his aning and started kicking out the people as gently as possible. Most understood that sothing must have happened for them to suddenly be told to exit, but so were just regular douchebags.
“What is this about! Why are you kicking us out?!”
“We paid for our service, you can’t just kick us out like this! I’ll tell my papa!”
But the bouncers weren’t so easily persuaded.
“Yeah, yeah. Call him, we’ll make sure to give him an extended service.”
“Please understand the ergency and leave, we’re quite sorry for the inconvenience.”
“But we will rember you all and make sure to prepare free drinks the next ti you visit, thank you for being soo sympathetic!” The bouncers shoved out those that weren’t listening.
Marika’s eyes took a brief look at them before returning to her drink, her mind already creating an image of Henry.
“What are you thinking?” I ask her, she looked quiet but serious in her own way.
“Just thinking about how quiet it finally is. It wasn’t a waste being strung around last night.” She said without any bitterness.
I put a hand behind her back and gently stroke it, “I’m sorry for making you wait, I wasn’t in the vicinity around that ti.”
“It’s okay, I can’t expect you to leave everything just because of .” Those words were real.
This is why I like mature won.
Unlike young ones that are too spiky and ignorant towards others feelings, the mature ones knew when to stop and actually understood you.
“Thank you and in exchange for that, what can I do for you, my beautiful enigmatic lady?” I tilt my head and smile as she smiled back.
“Nothing physical.” Her eyes were weary, “I know how it sounds but… just for tonight, I don’t want to do anything.”
“And nothing we shall do.” I say, “You look like you have a lot on your shoulders. So I’ll do you a favor and quietly listen.” My hand went up and gently slid her side hair, “So is it related to your family?”
Marika gave a side eye as I lift my hands up in surrender, “I’m not trying to pry, just wanna listen. You can say it without giving any clear materials or if you don’t want to say it, don’t.”
Marika’s eyes, which were hostile just a mont ago, quickly drifted down, “I’m sorry. I- I’m just a bit exhausted from work and yes… it’s about family.”
I quietly sip my drink and listen to her.
Let’s just hope she won’t be making it any boring as Anna makes her. I love that girl, but she can really get into her work and cannot shut up once she starts talking.
“I have a son.” My ears perk up.
“Did you know that I had one?” Marika gave a sarcastic smile, “Or does knowing it make seem unattractive now?”
I grab her chin and lean into give a quick kiss that she couldn’t fathom until later. As I left her honey flavored tongue, I spoke softly, “Would it be weird to say that it sohow made it sexier?”
Marika blinked two tis before suddenly laughing as she shoved back, “You say the strangest things… and yes, it does make it very weird.” She said that, but her eyes were sparkling.
“I don’t know if I should say this but… the situation at the borders don’t seem good, Henry.” Marika said with a sigh.
“…Are you talking about Sekai?” I raise a brow as she nods. “Why do you say that, are they acting strangely?”
“They always have, but this ti it feels irregular. They are too secure with their space and are cautious of our people. Even our ambassadors there, are giving erratic responses.”
“The price of exchanging items has increased while its supply beca limited. rcenaries from our kingdom are quietly disappearing in that place and even so officials we sent, we now have lost contact with them.”
My brow only hardened as I listened to her. This was indeed not new news for except few, but that didn’t matter. What I thought strange was how Marika knew about them.
‘Not just anybody can know about such stuff unless their seats were very high. And I haven’t really done any digging about Marika… but hearing her now, that might have been a mistake from my part.’
“Don’t look at like that… I have the sa thought as you.” Marika said as her eyes shone with a dark smile, “But you promised you won’t try to find out about .”
My face breaks into a nervous smile.
‘In the process of thinking about her, I probably forgot to mask my concern.’ I reply, “Even though I am very, very tempted to find out about who you are… I will keep my promise.”
‘At least for a little while.’
Marika said while sipping her glass, “I don’t believe that, but I can’t bla you for being curious, I am curious too, you know.”
“How you didn’t seem as surprised as you should have been and how soone so young could have a background for such heavy knowledge. But still… this mysterious ga we’re playing only makes it more engaging for .”
“Sa here, darling.” I raise my glass and we cling it before gulping them down.
“You shouldn’t worry so much about that problem… I don’t want to sound rude, but even with your background, you probably can’t do much about the situation.”
Marika murmured as she filled her glass, “But that’s not the only problem I have.”
“What’s that?”
“I have a small bug that’s trying to disrupt the peace in my family and unfortunately, I can’t do much about the bug… myself.”
“Can I help?”
She turned to , smiled and shook her head, “No… I don’t want to bring you into my trouble. This is sothing that I’ll take care of… eventually.”
I nod and suddenly Marika got up, “Let’s go.”
“Where?”
“You’re ho.”
I smile and stand up as she placed a hand on my chest, “But…”
“No touching, I got it.” I say as we leave together.
Quickly, we arrive to the separate ho I prepared especially for us.
“You can take the room, next to min-” Before I could finish, Marika walks up while slowly loosening each piece of her dress and left them on the floor.
I just watch beco more naked with ti before closing the door to the room.
“Man… that’s so way to leave a guy blue balled.”
I mutter before grabbing two random bottles from the private bar, “Which is why alcohol is the second best bed friend.”

A While Later…
As I lay on the bed, half drunk and blue balled while thinking of Marika’s figure, I hear the door click and slowly open.
“Hmm? Is-”
“Back at the bar, I thought you were soone very intelligent.” Marika said as I glanced up at her voluptuous figure wearing a black transparent gown, that did nothing to hide her expansive assets.
She slowly ca close with hips moving intrinsically, “But now I understand that you really are a naïve boy.”
“Marika? But you sai-”
“Sshh” She slowly crawled to the bed and ca closer, “You’re not wrong, I had thought that Bianca was right, that you were the sa as other n.”
“But you clearly are not… and I am very, very, very grateful for that.” Marika’s words couldn’t completely leave her mouth before she grasped with passion and kissed deeply.
“Now let show you just how… grateful I am.”
