What were the curses and how they were born, no one truly understood. But the people believed that curses were ford through human resentnt. It’s the tragedies that give birth to curses and in the past, before the ti of Knights, the curses were rampant in this world.

Caused entire families to disappear at a ti and out of fear of accumulating resentnt, many people tried to live a just life.

But these people were only among a minority and even if they did live a kind life, the curses would eventually find their way to tornt them.

It was also the ti of Curse wielders and the Exorcist, who were at the top of the world. While one was dreaded, the other was respected and even though the mages of old were still stronger than them, the fact remained the sa that those that dealt with curses carried higher authority over the mortals than mages.

Though, this was all in the past. With the advent of a madman, the curses were purged from this land and rarely appeared in public once again.

It was for such reasons, that many have started to look down on curses and curse wielders, calling them wannabe mages who could never match up to their ideal goals.

Though Maisel knew, curses were not so simple after all. And if not for being the owner of Samadhi Flas. He wouldn’t have made such a mistake of standing in front of a jar of curses that was ready to burst.

"I am who you are looking for... but let tell you. Stop and we can find a way to get rid of the thing inside of you." Maisel chose a soft approach, his eyes were bright showing kindness and understanding to the child.

A child he doesn’t rember at all. But this was the least he could do at the mont. Killing the child would only cause the curse to be released on the city streets and with the strength he was feeling from it, he understood the damage it might cause would be imnse.

So it would be better if the child cos with him willfully and he can put him in a sealing chamber where the causes would be suppressed temporarily, before waiting for the arrival of a proper Exorcist to deal with it.

Of course, there was also the chance that the boy might just do his job and assassinate him, just like many others like him have done in the past. But he didn’t fear curses that much, he had been victim to it countless tis, but his flas would always burn the curses one way or another, and after a certain point, the Blue Lotus also stopped attempting the sa thod on him again and again.

But Maisel knew that this ti, sothing was odd. The curse was not as simple as it appeared. It was not even as strong as the curses he had been hit with before in his life. But it was for such reasons that he found it even odder.

Blue Lotus were learned individuals, they were not fanatics like many have believed them to be. No, far from being fanatics, they were people that never did anything outside of their plan.

Even in the past, the attempts on his life had a steep level of lethality behind them and if not for his own strength forged through countless fights, he would have lost.

So why would they still attempt it?

A question, whose answer Maisel was going to get sooner than he expected, as the boy, after hearing Maisel’s words, smiled for the first ti.

Before he took out a Knife, ready slowly. Readying himself for the deed.

Though before he could do so, the ground in front of him burst into splinters, forcing him to back off a bit.

It was a warning shot, it was to prevent Soros from doing anything stupid. And this shot might have worked for those that worried about their life or death, but Soros was not that kind of person.

"Stop... Don’t shoot..!" Maisel announced and then continued to speak more flowery words to Soros, thinking he might change his mind.

Sothing that was far from possible. As even I struggled to do so in his dreams where his true thoughts were at the forefront for to read. It was why I was not surprised when Soros even after the warning shot, slit his throat without speaking another word ever again.

"Nooo!" Maisel panicked, this was unexpected. All one has to do is release the curse and attack the body, there would be no need to kill oneself to do so. Though usually, the carrier dies after the curse leaves their body. But the carrier killing himself so easily? This was truly bizarre.

Hence the worry on Maisel’s face as he rushed toward Soros’ body still covered in filth.

With a golden fire with a red hue that covered his body, he approached the boy and took him in his arm, while he slowly bled to death.

’Cauterizing the injuries won’t fix much... he sliced it too deep.’

Soros looked at the man, who showed worry for him. The very boy, whose family this man killed four years ago. As for what the reason was, he didn’t properly understand at that ti.

But even if he did, he won’t feel much anyway. To him, he had been alive for too long and now was the ti to fulfill his last duty.

He could feel the curse that always wanted to burst out, slowly flowing out of his body along with the blood, as feeble as his heartbeat got, while he choked in his own blood, the more light he felt. So light that he felt, he was on a cloud.

And before long, he closed his eyes and entered a familiar place.

A place that was ho to . My hell.

"Why did you bring here?" Soros asked the figure of Farhad, who sat on the tree stump while overlooking the mist wall lit up with an orange hue.

Of course that was .

"Do you see that place... although this land is a pure illusion, it was based on a mory of mine. A mory I have forgotten for a long while. Walking into it will bring you to a place about which I know nothing about."

Hearing such words Soros turned to look at the mist wall that surrounded this small space. Wondering what I ant and before long he asked. "Is that the entrance to hell?"

"That I don’t know, all I know is that reincarnation exists inside it, but this must never co to claim you," I said, looking at the tattered visage of Soros, whose soul had been corrupted due to the strong curse.

A curse by the na of Isolation.

One of the most destructive curses in the ti when curses ran rampant. As for how the Blue Lotus got their hands on it, I didn’t know.

But as soone who also holds an interest in curses, I understood the nature of such a curse. And even in death, this curse would never leave soone.

Even the hell won’t co to claim him. No, to the world, he disappeared from the world the mont he beca a host to the curse.

As for how he remained alive for such a long ti? I truly didn’t know.

It might be his mindset.

A mindset that was so bored with everything that the effect of the curse didn’t even register on his body.

Now was a different matter altogether.

"Why didn’t you speak of such words before?" Soros asked, looking at his hands as well as his body which seed to be filled with little holes while appearing transparent.

Though his question seed childish to . "You were too bored to listen to my words, there was not much I could do... And in a few minutes, I would never be able to detect you anymore. The curse would hide you from everything, a lost soul in a true sense without a chance to co back."

A fate worse than anything imaginable.

Its horrors are hard to explain, even the words I read in libraries all around the world would only contain little about what truly happened after an individual under such a curse died. Because dead n tell no tales, more so those going through the curse of isolation.

"Hmm, now this is a bumr." Soros sighed at his fate.

He can feel his body slowly dying and once he does, he won’t be part of this world anymore. No, he won’t be part of anything. A complete isolation where only darkness would surround him.

Soros continued. "Telling now? Is it to mock ?" Soros said, not treating my words as lies, for there was no reason for to do so anymore. He only looked toward the misty wall with a hint of envy.

As for , I just smiled. "Of course, why would I do so if not to enjoy your misery," I said with a smile, before continuing. "But, you still remain calm... so either you are an ignorant fool, highly courageous, or soone so bored that he doesn’t care about anything anymore."

"And the last part... it’s the last part that annoys ."

The last part truly did, I understood the true nature of Soros’ emotions. The thing that truly annoyed about him was how bored he was.

Which was so odd, considering there was so much to enjoy in this world. So much to look forward to.

A whole spectrum of emotions to experience.

And Soros was soone that chose to abandon it all out of ignorance and run away to a future that might not even exist.

This is what made annoyed and also reminded of that old friend of mine.

"So what do you intend to do," Soros spoke, holding a hint of contempt for in his voice.

A child of 14 years of age was capable of such an emotion, which surprised a bit. But this is what makes it interesting.

"Just die for now... because the next ti you open your eyes. Things might be a tad bit different."
