Such suspicions might not amount to much in the eyes of the masses or those not too privy to the matters of the military, like the majority of the nobles who led the country. But Farhad was none of those. He knew that sothing was going odd.
’Royals can’t be trusted.’ Although his interaction with Jester has been little since he heard his voice again, Farhad still carried all those mories that had played a huge role in affecting his view on life, as well as death.
His hatred which was only small and based on suspicions has only grown stronger with ti. Not to ntion, that legendary being sealed beneath the city.
His warnings, along with the rest of the stuff he had experienced first hand didn’t leave a good taste in Farhad’s mouth.
If not for Rudrain, he would have directly raided Amir’s research lab and threatened him to answer the truth. But the capital made things a bit different.
The grandmasters, can handle as many as they can throw at him, but legend changes things, even though he won’t die by their hand, Farhad knows that he could achieve little in their presence.
So one must wonder why would Farhad co here, being so close to the capital, and wait out his sister’s baby shower of sorts? Well, the intentions were simple.
’If the answers are not in front of your eyes, then just wait it out until they are.’ Although his work in the borders was equally important, after a decade of doing his best to reconstruct what was broken and helping those who needed his help, Farhad thinks he can take a bit of a break. All in an effort to ensure that no harm cos to his family and the new family that will soon be born in this world.
"Are you sure about this boss? Our neutrality will die off if we do anything drastic, we won’t be able to help anyone once that happens." One of his n asked, eyes bright like stars, the man’s na was Yeldin. A man in his advanced age when Farhad initially found him, and with a broken body on the verge of death, he was given the gift of rebirth by Farhad, dragging the man from the brink of death and into a new unlife.
But even with the newly gained strength, there was no sign of madness, no sign of losing oneself to the very things that Farhad did in his youth.
A sign of his strong ntality born through adversity, which is why he beca second in command of this loose organization. "From the very fact they are using my family as leverage against , it’s easy to see that they are fed up with looking away. If it’s not them, it will be soone else. They will end up finding excuses to make an enemy out of us."
"Hmm, but why so long-winded way, sacrificing one of their own to bind you down?" Yeldin asked, wondering why such a plan was just to bind down Farhad.
Knowing Cynark, they would generally just kidnap Fahna and Farhad’s mother if they wished to enslave Farhad. But they did none of the sorts. "They don’t wish to make an enemy out of , instead force into their family." Farhad agreed on this point after so thought. He understood that his previous plans might be too foolish. "Let’s find a peaceful resolution... I don’t know why they would go to such an extent to keep things in line. But I will play along for now."
Things were a bit too weird, to say the least. His actions, his reactions, and the strength he holds, all ant that he should be enslaved or be forced to join a side.
Not to ntion, after what happened in the Cave of Wonder not a decade ago, his relationship with the Radiant Order should be impossible to recover in any way or form. He had even waited the first few years after the event in the caves for their retaliation. None of which did arrive.
Was it Remira’s handiwork? Farhad can’t say for certain, and in a certain part of his head, he knew that was not the reason.
The Radiant order had enough justification on their end, but still no retaliation.
"It’s better this way, let’s wait it out, I believe if they do have a plan with , they will obviously make a move in soon enough."

Far into the deep of the Land of Azad, Darde ate silently as his two new compatriots, ignorant of the kind of job they had been handed, spoke about their daily lives.
Darde to set up so rapport with them, he told them just enough, not forgetting to add that his wife was back in her ho for vacation, which is why eating out was what Darde had been doing recently, and why he called the two of them with him. However, what the duo were unaware of was the location.
"There is even a restaurant in a place like this?" The two spoke, finding that a restaurant to be in the "rchant" district was odd. Considering, the things that were sold here were not objects, but living beings.
"Guess you two are not familiar with the city too much... although this place is famous for its products, there still needs to be a venue for those that get hungry." The truth was, this place was a eting spot in case you were doing business in bulk, which is why so many of the doors in the venue had runes of silence slamd onto them. Which to the fools only looked like designs, but Darde knew their purpose and the value of using those rooms.
Not to ntion, below this restaurant was a secret auction for high-end products that can sotis enter the territory of illegality.
However, there was a reason why this place was preferred over any other. ’My senses can’t break through the floor.’ Darde had already experienced this before on a different case when he ca here. The sa thing doesn’t surprise him anymore.
From the very fact that the doors had magical runes on them, it was easy to say this establishnt had the backing of a mage or mystic. Both of whom will seem troubled on his end.
But this is not why Darde ca here. ’The fights happened in the alleyway next to this restaurant, cleaning would have been fast, so shutting the street off for half a day seems too much.’ Although the victim of the rats ntioned so odd things, none could deny that this place was shut down for half a day due to that incident.
’So let’s eat.’
Darde ate silently that day. Although there were curious gazes of people who knew his identity, which couldn’t be helped considering that his friends here were in their full uniform. They didn’t do much on their end.
As long as Darde stays in line and doesn’t start snooping around, they will leave him be. That’s the rule of life and let’s live in this place.
But it’s not what Darde ca here for.
The seat he chose, and its position, were perfect to keep watch over the open area of the restaurant. Including its workers and other custors. But Darde’s mind was mainly focused on the restaurant staff, those that showed to be in high positions, but were usually ignored by those in power.
Like a simple trash boy, whose job was to clean up the dishes in the back. Soone who will be easily replaceable and not high enough to know the details of what goes below.
Everything—his face, his body, his sll—fell into Darde’s eyes, along with the characteristics of others in the venue. Before he was done with his dinner, he left the place.
Not acting in the slightest bit suspicious. ’There were stains on his clothes, his hands seed to be practiced... he had been here for over a month at least... they didn’t replace him.’
It was easy to see who he needed to target next. And what needs to be done later.
"We are going to target soone tonight, I apologize for the delay." Darde didn’t explain the details, he only spoke about the ti it would take him and where they going to co.
’The real restaurant begins at night, though the staff will change entirely and those under contract will join up... but the incident happened in broad daylight. Which ans there is a 70% chance, I might get sothing from the kitchen boy.’
