"Foolish... he is not the one then."

One of them spoke in the dark, their eyes pale white before he spoke of another na. "Choose the other one, Amir... " With that na, the people in the room started to tap their table in agreent, deeming the Duke a wasted product while hoping to mold Amir in a way they couldn’t do with the Duke.

Jester the bastard he was, enjoyed his journey to the mountain ranges that led to the abyss where the sky itself turned into hell.

Like before, the na of the Abyss varied. So deed it simply the Abyss of Madness due to the state of those who walked out of it, and that na was commonly used to define it.

Don’t fall for it, the lies, the illusion, and the detrintal mories that drag you away from your goals. They are nothing but burdens that one has to abandon at one ti or another. Moreso in a place like this. The abyss on earth, the hell that is worse than hell itself.

The place where death is a luxury that no one can afford. "Influenced." My body, my soul, it was screaming as the child woke up in . A child who couldn’t handle the pain, the suffocation. Nor could he handle the lack of sight. And in a way I did with my mouth, this being, this creature that has parasitized my very being, grew a few eyes.

"NO!!.." I spoke, using my hand to stab the eyes that were forming. But I only had one hand, and Wajih was still in a groggy state to do anything. "Run fool, take us and run deeper," I shouted at him, his mind was not that active nor was he able to tell the oddities born on my body, blindness can be a blessing sotis, as, at this mont, A Lakram’s strength was rising up on its own, causing bristles and leaves to grow out of my body.

And then ca the crying of a child. "Lies, LIES!!" It shouted at , repeated so words of mine, and then hoped to find where the gas were.

A childish being with nothing but joy in its mind. A being that died at the hands of an age long ago.

LAKRAM!

Wajih recovered, moving around and about, listening to my screams. Even in his groggy state, he understood that things were not going well for , and I hoped he understood who was to bla for all of this.

’Move.’ He spoke in my mind, holding myself and the foolish child from recreating eyes all over my body. But it’s impossible.

I was rely a novice in changing shapes and I was fighting against sothing to whom this talent ca naturally.

"Ah..." I spoke, looking at the sky, the clouds, and the hands that were dancing in those clouds. Waving and gleaming towards the earth. "You see us?" A sound echoed in my ears. An echo of death.

’Ignorance.’ I spoke to myself.

"Delusion." I made myself.

"Blind I am." With those words, my hand collapsed, my organs turned to stone, and even my heart skipped a beat. I was forced to do it. I was forced to negate the reality in front of and steal away my sight. It was only for a second, but the air in the whole abyss changed, the winds picked up and the will of the abyss appeared agitated. But with blinding myself, it could do nothing, my sight was free.

"Haha." I thought, before feeling sothing glare at .

"#*$R@!" A sound ca, breaking our steps, and causing Wajih to fall down. He was bleeding from the feel of it. But, I can’t do a thing. This was the limit. "HAH..." Things really don’t go the way I want them to.

"Fool."

In the distance, the mages looked at the scene, and the "chaos" that appeared on the map. A sign that "it" had materialized on this abyss. "The Devil is here... no one will move out of the tower for now." Warned the current head mage.

While overlooking the scene below with concern. Although they couldn’t see what was happening, there was a certain level of understanding of who might be targeted. ’But for them to bring forth the Devil?" The mages wondered what could make a Devil take action by its own hands. Sothing that even their Tower Master struggled to do.

Hell, it took over a decade before they were able to ensnare a devil through sacrifices before building an equal contract.

"Whatever the case, we can’t intrude for now." A devil’s appearance ant one thing, the intruders have little chance of survival. None will survive the madness.

This can be seen from the scene around and Wajih, which bled and caused his own blood to shift into different forms, while his other tallic beads turned violent, dancing around and changing shapes in the air. A result of panic or protection thod? It was hard to say. Because one of those beads had stabbed Wajih into his own arms, he remained unresponsive without screaming in pain and mories.

’War.’ I saw it, the fear, the anger, and the face of the being that ca to .

Everchanging, floating like a ghost above and carrying the visage of people I have t in life. Even my lies that brought blindness were completely useless in front of such an entity, for my whole existence could see it even if I didn’t want to. Which is why my soul, my true form started to crumble over the visage of such existence.

This being.

This was sothing far more primal than just a totem-level Entity.

It was #&&R@.

"Cough.

"I coughed so blood, while this being looked at with curiosity, a thought on his end would be enough to annihilate in body and soul. This state, this luck.

’Hah.’ The broken arm, I picked it with my only working arm and then placed it in front of . "Stay away." I struggled as I spoke, while the other half of my body flailed around with a childish crying to boot. I hated being blind, but what can I do? What has happened has happened.

"#*R@%)... being you are... death is inevitable.’ Spoke the figure, looking at the arm that held the Sun’s energy and then my body that was being turned to dust under the impact of the Mark left on .

"You can speak intelligible words?" I asked with so sarcasm. Though that was all I could say. This was the last resort on my end. If nothing else, exploding this arm with Sun’s energy would probably harm my Devilish friend a bit.

And it would seem it understood this, backing off a bit before under my pathetic state, grabbed my broken arm with one of his shadow ones and then, under my eyes. Ate it.

"Sustenance." It spoke, looking at with mockery. "Now death." Then he spoke, its arms slowly covering the whole area, and then they grabbed toward .

"End is nigh." I felt. This is death, the true death, where I would be claid by Abyss, turning into its dog if I am lucky. "Death," I spoke again, looking at the figure but then, a smile ford on my face.

"You will regret this." With those words, failure ca, my body was ripped apart, my connection to the body completely severed, and the mark that had been running amok completely free.

Death, that is what beca of .

But there was no claim in the Devil’s hand. Even in my death, the abyss wasn’t able to touch , I had remained a free man till the end, a free being without a lord.

"Aaah." But, you see.

I won’t be dying so easily.

With my death, a figure broke the space of the Abyss as light filled the area. "The Lightbearer." A holy sound as a figure descended from the heavens, shining bright like a sun and tall as a titan.

His size alone dwarfed the devil whose body started to burn under the appearance of the Angel, Lucifer Morningstar.

"Devil encroaching on the land of man, O’ defiler of contract, speak of your identity before I punish you for your cris." Spoke the voice ethereal and heavy, causing the Devil to back off a bit, looking at the burning figure with so fear and hatred. "The Devil of the War." It spoke, as its body exploded into a giant army of its own.

Demons, humans, and so winged angels appeared out of nowhere. Their bodies were built off of the abyss’s darkness. "Death will be unto you." There was no dialogue necessary when a Devil and an Angel of the Red Sun t. All that remains is the fight for survival and the death of the other party.

"Ha..." I thought to myself. What remained of was just a brain, heart, and lung. By using muscle control, I ensured that these three survived—they survived long enough, along with my muscles, so that I could drag it out.

’HA." Slurp ca the sound while a heavenly battle broke out in the background.

"Wake up." The little nerves I had, I stabbed them into Wajih’s neck which had gone cold. Not dead, but close to death. But at least he had a body of his own. "Will it and you will move," I spoke, sending out what little remained of and asking him to walk ahead.

"Walk...for life."

Death, I had been dead for the past three centuries. I had been a dead man since the start.

And now, I co here seeking life, a true life.
