What can I say, Malidi knows talent.
If not for him, I wouldn’t have found such a wonderful tool for the job. Which is good, which is perfect I might even say.
It started with a crashing sound. When the first of the tentacles struck, they were easily severed by the sword that appeared out of nowhere, appearing as thin as a cicada wing. The sword sohow went against the very reality and easily clashed with the two-ter-thick tentacles that kept getting thicker the lower one went.
As for , I was forced into a turbulent situation, feeling my body split apart under the chaotic movent of the seas. ’Odd.’ I know I should leave the seas, but I can’t fly, nor can I leave this body, so the only option left for was to swim deeper, and deeper away from the chaos, only leaving a hint of will and the dream realm to witness this scene.
These things, these giant squids, they were a bit bizarre I might say. Even though they were only Grandmasters, I could detect a light level of Domain. Sothing even I, a totem, didn’t have. Truly shaful on my end.
While these guys, their domain, whatever it was and how incomplete it was, it weakened not only my body but my soul as well.
Devastating in my eyes, with the worst part being, that these domains overlapped before they actually showed their true might.
aning a swarm of them will be capable of weakening the durability of all kinds of ships and even beings if they wished it so.
But are they always in a horde? I don’t believe it, nor do I believe there are too many of them in existence which would make the seas hard to move in.
’Though the curious thing is, how did the enemies of Wajih get their hands on sothing so powerful? And why did they use it on him?’ That was my question, it was obviously an attempt to shoot two birds with one stone.
And I can understand dealing with Wajih, for he was their enemy. But why go after these beings and use sothing so precious on Wajih of all people?
Well if I am not wrong, the enemies might be close enough that I might be able to learn so answers.
Which seed to be correct. I saw it, far from here, so shimrs in the world of dreams, they were silent and unmoving, probably covering themselves with stealth techniques of arcane kind. Or it might be more archaic, using the mystic techniques to hide from the normal eyes.
Well whatever it was, they failed to hide from my eyes, and I could easily count their numbers, far lower than the one I witnessed before, but they were there, biding their ti, letting Wajih do his hardest to kill these squids.
And if not for the malleable nature of his weapons that can break and reform through his will alone, he would have long lost in front of these squids. An edge that made him overwhelm these monsters one by one, as the cut-off tentacles were never growing back and it wouldn’t be long before they died.
This is when the combat entered a new state when the blood that these monsters bled started to flow into the air, forming up small beads that Wajih carefully stored into what appeared to be a space bag. Sothing far inferior to the ring that Rosso found on a bunch of mage assassins. But still good enough for Wajih’s use who only extracted tal out of this blood while abandoning the rest.
His strength differed from Farhad and Rosso in one single aspect, it was too precise and efficient. He might not have the vitality and destructive power of Farhad, nor the annoying versatility of Rosso, but he was precise enough to not even need such power. Skills trumped all and that’s how I saw it.
This man was wonderful, though still lacking the state of perfection due to his flawed ntal state and the direction of the power he was developing. But ignoring those small inconsistencies. He was pretty strong for his advanced age.
But it didn’t an he could rival those peak monsters I ntioned before, he was just a level below them, capable of harming these squids only because his strength lay in dealing with these kinds of monsters.
Who knows if this strength will translate well when he fights people of the sa level and has anti-personal skills to boot?
And then it happened, with a boom one of the squids fell, following after which were others one by one, finally giving a sign of relief. I don’t want my precious body to break down due to a shitty domain like theirs.
But things were not over yet.
As I had expected, those bunch far off in the distance ca at a faster pace than imagined the mont the third squid fell and the turn for the fourth arrived.
And I didn’t bother warning this man of their presence, let him deal with them, it’s more fun to see him struggle and even fail if possible. Oh how many developnt plans I would have for him then.
"Hah." Wajih sighed, looking at the corpses around him and feeling a hint of satisfaction. Before the blood dispersed into the seas, he had to extract the iron from their body, and who knows, he might be able to mimic the destructive capabilities of these squids.
But before that, Wajih took out a potion and drank it while his eyes wandered around for my presence in the seas, though the mont he saw no presence of , his eyes turned dark.
His first thought was of escaping, a simple conclusion, but then there is the fact that I ca to him out of my own will due to a job, so running away would be uncharacteristic of .
This must have made him wonder why I was not surfacing at the mont, and then he thought of it with a different anger. "Dead?" A hint of disappointnt was present on his face before his eyes turned to the squids once again, and, with a will of his, he started to collect the iron from their overflowing blood.
This affects his endurance even further.
Which seed to be the perfect ti for a fool to shout. "Seems like our work was cut short." Spoke the villain with a mischievous tone.
Generally, the best course of action here would be to attack Wajih while he was still focused on his work. Calling out this way in general is just making him put his guard up against any sneak attacks.
But I have respect for the theatrics, making my enjoynt in the scene further elevated.
"The dogs... how did you find ?" Wajih was already aware of who this man was, and why couldn’t he be?
It was one of the dogs of that accursed family Vakil of the Blue Moon. One of the Guardian Knights protected the Third Son with his life.
So his being here also ant that the Third son might not be so far away.
Or so Wajih believed, getting his hopes up, but suddenly suppressing considering he was not in his peak form at the mont.
"The Great Blood Sword Monarch stands tall to his title, killing four monsters on his own." He smiles finding the situation pretty good.
And why shouldn’t he? The earlier plan that was deed a failure sohow worked. But thinking that they were caught, their target would have long left for the mainland, which is why they were forced to use backup to hunt these beasts on their own.
His master currently was busy dealing with these beasts and probably had so losses on his end by now. But he, after the suggestion of his own master, remained close to the scene, hoping to fish in the chaos that is if it occurred, to begin with.
Because the chances of Wajih escaping to the Alliance were high at the mont.
What they didn’t know was that Wajih was currently a big criminal in the eyes of the Alliance, how could he escape?
Leading to this scene. ’I just wanted one and he hunted over four... this luck.’ The gods have blessed him.
"I don’t like that na." Spoke with Wajih, holding his breath to not appear weak. Currently every second counted, and the more ti went on the more the potion would heal the internal injuries caused by these beasts and the more he would recover his stamina.
So he needed to waste so more ti and entertain this guy for a bit. "And I don’t like you... your owner, how long had he been aware of ?" Wajih asked, his eyes holding hatred in them.
But the man nad Vakil barely spoke, showing his grinning teeth and saying. "You think you are important enough to be in my Master’s eyes? If not for your use, he wouldn’t have bothered with you to begin with."
