Was it suicidal?
Obviously, it was. With how dangerous the situation was, putting a bright light while surrounded by enemies was the sa as asking for your end. But there was no choice left for .
Death was inevitable if I were to remain here, wallowing in misery. And although that death which I speak of is just spiritual, where my true body turns into a slave for greater beings, it’s still the death of who I once used to be.
So to prevent such things from happening, certain drastic asures had to be taken in this particular situation.
’Ho, it seems there is a reaction already.’ Turning toward a direction, a vivid image appeared in my mind. Although surrounded by walls of this undersea cave, there were still so scenes I could make out through looking into the dream world.
It’s one of my most basic talents, and it’s not hard to detect a life form from a distance by reading its spiritual impact on the dream world. ’A strong one,’ I thought, looking deeper into it, trying to find any trace that might make this person or thing familiar to .
But there was nothing I could detect on him. Nor his small rry n who rode on a ship quickly.
At first, their destination seed to be , but soon, once a few more figures entered my field of perception, they changed direction.
And these, these ones I knew. ’Ho, they were at the seas?’ I smiled. It would seem that my luck remains good enough. Which was also a sign that I should probably destroy this piece of magic circle that I built. Then again, it is fun to leave it as it is.
"Hah, wonder how many hornets I have disturbed with this." These were my last thoughts before jumping into the sea and then latching onto a swordfish that I have kept at bay till now.
It was fast enough, and considering the wooden puppet body of mine, it could carry far easier than expected.
’Hopefully, the kids are alright.’

Not far into the distance, there was a bit of bickering among the group of Exorcists that proudly proclaid themselves as Team One.
"Mini, you really need to train your interpersonal skills from now on. If you had explained things to him properly, he wouldn’t have tried to escape from us." Spoke to Owl in so frustration.
Originally, they would have arrived at the Vercano Island way earlier and might have caught Rosso in action, but the injuries that Owl sustained along with the injured state of their little captive forced them to take a detour while they had hoped Mini would handle the rest on her own.
Sadly, Mini was not that good at dialogs, which did co biting them in the back considering Rosso was on the run at the mont. "I will try Brother..." She spoke in a low childish voice, making it harder for Owl to complain at all.
"Well, let it be bygones. It’s good that you placed a tracker on him." Owl spoke showing a happy smile while he also pursued the target without pause.
Although it was a bit disappointing that they couldn’t co to an agreent easily, this whole event was not a complete failure.
Currently, on the small motorboat they sat on which was steered by none other than Skart, there was another figure that was much more precious than anyone can ever imagine.
A renowned prince of Cynark. On that was not only strong but smart as well. Though if there was sothing to complain about, it would be Gazelle, who did show a bit of concern for soone Owl considered his enemy. ’She is hopeless.’ It’s not like he didn’t know what was going on.
They have grown up together, although he respects Gazelle as the oldest and treats her like his older sister. He is not blind to her little mistakes that she tries hard to hide. ’Well, if he can turn to us, it would be for the better.’ But Owl was not like his sister, he knew that humans don’t change too easily.
Even in the face of evidence that goes against their understanding, the people still choose to believe the lie because it’s far kinder or safer in their hearts.
Which would be greater for a Prince of Amir’s rank. Even if he cos to learn of the various truths around the world, he would still prefer to go back to the cozy lifestyle that his identity afforded him. ’Whatever floats her boat... once Master is back to his normal self, I believe he will deal with the issue appropriately on his own.
"Brother, is it really alright to pursue him... am I the only one scared of what he did on the islands?" Spoke Minat from the corner, with his head drooping low lacking any confidence like usual.
"It’s why we need him more. Vegal spoke of how that boy was his greatest creation, and it would be foolish for us to not use him for our purpose." Not to ntion, Owl thought, looking in the direction that Mini pointed towards.
’Malidi... he knows where he is.’ It’s not a blind guess on Owl’s end. He had long heard of his goal through the small contact he had with Team Two’s leader, and hence sowhat understands the assignnt in Rosso’s hand.
Which when matched with Rosso’s current movents can only an one thing. Rosso had learned the location of that recluse from Dragon long ago. And he didn’t wish to bring others with him on his journey to look for Malidi.
Why does he choose to abandon Team One? Owl can only bla it on Mini’s introverted nature. If properly explained the position that boy would have obviously turned over to them, instead of what he did now, following the location far into the distance.
"But brother... this one is murder murder crazy... not like Scart’s version of crazy."
"If Scart hears you say those words, you know even I won’t be able to stop him from stealing your candies again." At those words, Minat reeled in horror before shutting up. Which did earn Owl a bit of peace.
Though only for a little bit, as his heartfelt sothing.
And he was not alone in this. "Master?" Owl and the rest of his crew looked in a certain direction altogether.
It was a familiar feeling that they had been looking for all this ti. A feeling that had been lost to them for the past five years. "Master is back?" Mini the most silent of the bunch was the one to shout the loudest. Followed by the appearance of Gazelle who looked into the distance with a bright smile on her face.
It seed the old days were close by. Because only the real master was capable of sending such signals to them.
"Skart, ignore the boy, we are following our heart with this." Spoke Owl, though there was no need for him to do such a thing as Scart was already tilting the boat towards the signal direction.
As for Rosso in the distance, he didn’t take priority in front of their master. And if the owl hadn’t thought wrong, Rosso would have also felt the tremble in his heart and might have moved in the sa direction. Making his job far easier in the process.
’Hopefully, this is no trap.’ It was truly unbecoming of how Team One usually operated. And they would have been wary of such a random signal on the seas out of nowhere. But the loneliness they felt without their master was painful enough to make them take desperate asures.
Even if it’s a trap, it might be a trap worth falling into.
Of course, that was their plan initially.
That is until they noticed an odd thing not far from their boat.
An odd thing was swimming towards them from the distance.
An odd occurrence, considering they were covered in cloaking talismans that made them invisible to even Grandmaster-level creatures."Brace yourself, it might truly be a trap." Shouted Owl to his team before taking out multiple Talismans that he started to set up for the trap.
Well, he did that until noticing what the odd thing in the distance was. ’A fish carrying a doll?’ He thought for a bit, and before he could think any further. Scart shouted. "That.. that is a Clown puppet... the one that Master used to possess long ago." Scart had strong eyes since the start. It’s what makes him such a good collector, so while others in his team were still wondering what that thing was. Scart from the steering wheel could already make out its appearance.
Of course that was not all that Scart shouted about. There were words filled with jubilation as what this symbolized was too much for him to hold in.
The sa was the case for others in the group. All of them looked with happy smiles on their faces as the small swordfish slowly reached their boat and then threw itself into the air and then fell onto the ship’s deck.
Followed by a voice they hadn’t heard in a while. "Children, I am back with so dinner."
