That voice did match that of Dragon as well as Heroth, but there were tonal differences between them. ’There are two in his body, can there be more?’ Wondered Rosso for a bit, before shaking his head.

When looking at it in retrospect, aren’t he and the dragon a bit the sa? He, too, had a voice in his head, but it barely talked. A soul that wishes to see the other side of the veil which was its soul reason of existence.

A bit absurd to say the least. ’I guess, this is the weirdness of fate that Creator spoke about, it will cause certain coincidences from ti to ti...’ Rosso didn’t know if his creator knew that Heroth would be overtaken by the Dragon. He didn’t know if his creator had ever hoped to let him know the dangers of this man.

Well, whatever his Creator intended doesn’t matter, even the process of it all matters a little. What does matter is the result.

So Rosso went about and easily found so deer. Although he felt it was a pity to harm such beautiful and luminous creatures, the hunger and the orders of the Dragon made it far easier for him to kill so, including so little rabbits he found along the way.

Though that was it, there was not much in this small paradise he was familiar with, that he could use as flavoring. As for the salt that was ford on the banks where certain sodium ponds, they were too poisonous and might ruin the flavor of the at. So Rosso went with natural taste.

Using so of the dried leaves and wood from the surrounding area, he made a giant fire before cutting each of the deer and letting their blood drop into so bowls he found in the manor.

Ignorant he was not, everything edible in the manor might have been eaten by its pitiful tenants before, but it doesn’t an the utensils were hard in any way. "Blood and so boil." While the at was cooked, Rosso had a serving of Fresh blood as well s cooked blood.

Carrying the bloodline of Bloodhearts, it was not that harmful for him to consu raw blood at all, instead, it gave him a stronger strength than if he were to consu it cooked. But raw blood was still too much for him, he just used a mixture of both of these and enjoyed while the at cooked.

Of course, while drinking it, he did find the taste a bit odd. No, calling the blood odd would be doing it a disservice. ’It feels so light.’ It felt heavenly as the blood touched his stomach. Rosso felt as if he had drank so strong dicinal potion. Of course, this too went sowhat expected considering how otherworldly this beast appeared.

Though for their strength, it was not much different than normal deer. Making this place all the weirder.

*****

A day went by like this, and although it took much longer for the at to cook than Rosso expected, the little rabbits he had caught before, along with the blood from the three deer, gave him enough energy to recover most of his strength.

Truth be told, with the amount of blood he had drunk, it wouldn’t be much of an issue to ignore the at of the Deer. But considering the blood was so flavorful, he wanted to give its flesh a try.

Which he did soon after Dragon’s arrival, without a worry picked two smaller deer as he wished for so softer at and enjoyed it along with Rosso, who matched the mood and ate like a ravenous beast, just like Dragon did.

"Good, your body can absorb nutrients at a faster rate than I had expected... "Dragon spoke, finding the healthy color of Rosso sowhat pleasing. Though what and why he spoke like this, Rosso didn’t understand.

He just silently ate his food without worrying too much about the rest.

"I am giving you a day at most, prepare as much as you can... I don’t want to see that sorry state of yours from before again." Dragon spoke in a tight tone, causing Rosso to lower his head and agree.

Well, what can he do in such a situation, this man was a madman, it would be suicidal to speak against him in any way or form. So just nod to his words and keep surviving as long as you can.

Besides, Rosso is sure that once he ets his target Malidi, this Dragon might lose all his influence over him. ’I need to survive till then.

Rosso thought before his face suddenly crumbled as he thought harder over Dragon’s words. ’We need to travel tomorrow.’ The way Dragon traveled, creating havoc and destruction in his wake, it was easy to see that Rosso’s body wouldn’t be able to handle it again. Then he recalled Dragon’s comnt about how good his tabolism was.

Turning his face a bit pale, but only for a little.

Rosso is not the old him anymore, not to ntion being stronger than the ti he had just ascended to the ranks of Grandmaster, he was not so drained after a long fight against enemies, nor suffering from a Curse backlash for unintended use of Curse brought by his sort of death.

He was pretty fine at the mont. Recovered to the fullest extent he could and even felt much stronger as he had gotten used to his current strength.

But none of this ant that the durability of his flesh had lowered or increased at all. This ant that although he would regenerate most of his injuries without many issues unlike last ti, he would still be injured while being carried by that monster.

’A shield of sorts will work, a kind that can fight against or entirely deflect the wind pressure.’ A tool in such a short ti was impossible to find. Not to ntion, he won’t choose the stupid path of what Dragon might have willfully suggested with his ability to eat comnt.

No, Rosso completely ignored the idea of filling his stomach up for regeneration resources, that would truly be the worst thing possible.

’I am a grandmaster, I should have more talents than the ones before.’ There are two kinds of Knights.

Those who follow the path of Self-cultivation and those who follow the path of Bloodline. Both might start the sa, but the way the abilities evolve is entirely different, with one reaching Grandmaster, the difference becos too far apart to a degree that it becos harder for one to distinguish the origin of the Knight’s blood.

Though this begs the question, where does Rosso fall into? ’Even if I cheated, it should still count as a bloodline thod.’ Rosso didn’t increase his realm, which made his blood evolve, he went the path of blood and upgraded it, which forced his body to reach this level. ’My talents should still match that of a normal Bloodheart mber.’ Soros Bloodheart, the na was still fresh in Rosso’s mind.

And calling out that na, he asked the other soul in his body for an answer, a way out of this predicant Rosso found himself in. But as was usual, he never got a proper answer there was only silence.

’No... if he doesn’t give an answer, I have to think for myself.’ Recalling that Soros Bloodheart was far younger than him when he died, it was truly shaful for Rosso to ask such questions from a child. Which made Rosso focus the issue on himself.

He took a clinical approach to his own powers before thinking hard.

Although he learned about the Bloodhearts recently, it didn’t an he was ignorant about his own bloodline.

"The blood you carry can assimilate certain things depending on your understanding... from entire souls to new talents, but the requirent remains your understanding, and you can’t ever assimilate things you don’t understand, and doing so at random will only bring you in ruin." His creator had warned him about his blood multiple tis.

How volatile such a bloodline was, one mistake ant certain death, or a fate worse than death. You don’t rge with things that you know little about, where you don’t have control.

’So, sothing I understand.’ The occult and dreams were too high level, even if they were the subjects that Rosso knew most about due to the input of his creator, it didn’t an he could rge it with his blood. ’Sothing simpler, but easy to use as well, easy to control.’ Rosso thought for a while longer before his eyes fell on the luminous horns of the deer from before. ’Can I?’

These horns were as brittle as normal horns to him, but for so reason, the flesh of these deer exceeded the nutritional value of the normal at, which ant that these bones, specifically the horns weren’t so simple as well.

’No, it’s suicidal, this place is odd, a forbidden area... eating the flesh of a beast that grew up here is already too much... I can’t go any further.’ He said to himself, before trying so other ideas at the back of his mind.

’Control blood and create a shield.’ Rosso spoke, using his own blood not as a thread like he did last ti, but as a shield.

Obviously, he failed. It was harder for him. These blood threads were strong, far stronger than one can expect, but they were weak against heat and barely had any strength against strong pressure.

He needed a way to harden his blood or use sothing else entirely. ’Use those brittle bones to make a shield woven by my blood?’

This idea was also put down soon enough.
