Or such were his beliefs, one might even say that these were his hopes of a better future.

"Are you sure, that place... it’s hell. I won’t recomnd you go there." I spoke to a fellow friend of Amir’s, Wilhelm Faust. The last few years being together had brought these two intelligent enigmas much closer. So they have dropped a certain level of formality. If it had not been for Amir’s identity as a prince, the remaining formality would have been dropped by this point as well.

"I was warned, I have to see to it what I was warned about with my own eyes." Amir had made up his mind for a visit. And nothing will stop him from doing what he wants at this point. Even the constant assassination attempts that he faces due to his sensitive identity not as a prince, but as a weapons researcher.

He was a valued asset of Cynark, and with years of developing results, he had long earned the support of his grandfather.

"Then bring so mage armor and the prototypes for the Knights, use this opportunity to showcase our progress to the Royal family, they might increase our funding this way," Wilhelm spoke looking toward a sleeker armor kept on the side where chanics were drawing detailed ruins under the carapace of the armor.

"I will, they might co in handy in case sothing does happen." Amir agreed, that even though he understood the severity of the problem, his mind had long been entrenched in this world of research and hence, he also knows that being too emotional all the ti is never good. This visit was a learning experience as well as an opportunity.

Not to ntion, this might be the mont that so of the people who had been keeping an eye on him finally show up and accept their deaths from Amir.

No one ca to rescue Remira. By the ti the rescue operations were in full force, she finally mustered up so strength and carefully got up from the rubble, fearing that any drastic movents might cause the surrounding bodies to be crushed.

But then she stopped, before starting to clean the area even with her feeble strength and drag the bodies out in the open one by one.

A scene that confused so of the surviving knights and those that ca to the rescue. They didn’t feel much from her, but Remira’s injuries were serious and not sothing to be ignored. They did try to stop her, but she kept doing it until a regint of Radiant Knights arrived, and after hours of pleading, they were able to bring her back to their headquarters.

"It’s what I feared." Reading the report, Grand Knight Majodar, the retired leader of the Radiant Knight showed a subdued expression after reading the reports.

The retirent was not done by Majodar’s will, he was forced out of position due to the rising discontent among the younger generation of Knights, which made him step down from the seat and co down to rest in Rudrain as a retired trainer of sorts.

But none of it ant that he hated the Knights. No, his heart remained steadfast from the start, and even supported the current leader of the Radiant Knights Hawking Ziegart with all his heart even with their disagreents.

That’s why do not cause any problems in their headquarters when he left and ca to the capital.

However, the truth of the matter was sowhat different. Majodar had another reason for coming here. Which mostly amounted to acting as a protector of sorts to Remira. "This world is getting too chaotic... even Rudrain is not safe anymore." He felt more pity for the mortals who died in the capital than for the injuries that Remira sustained.

As long as she lives that is enough. "Sir what about our Chosen? She had sustained so grievous harm during the battle..., and not of physical kind." One of the knights spoke in a lighter tone, fearing there might be soone eavesdropping on them. "She is chosen by the First Knight for a reason, don’t fear for her. This is all a test for her, all this failure will forge her mind for the better."

"Sir, she is a bit too unresponsive... there had been rising concerns over her health." Remira almost held a Saint-like stature among the Radiant Knights, which she is not far from being one, considering other Chosen in churches were called the Saints.

"I understand, I will go to visit her for a while after the eting with the Emperor is done." Leaving such words, Majodar took a small rest in his office, before donning his cloak and leaving to visit the emperor of the nation, Tethys Unt Bloodcrow, the younger brother to Deimos and Phobos, also the strongest among the brothers who sat on top of his throne while witnessing all the tragedy happening and didn’t move an inch.

******

It has been only two days since the incident when Gazelle was busy with rescue operations by acting as a spy among the Plague Knights. Remira was constrained on a bed, appearing dead in her eyes.

A scene that shocked many of the Radiant knights. They were worried, fearful and sowhat angry over the circumstances.

They didn’t know what happened in Southern District, but what they can ascertain is that the events left a heavy injury on Remira’s mind. For which, they hated the perpetrator, the man terd as Flower Fiend.

"Still no clue about him, huh?"

"Nothing, the last sighting was at the edge of the southern seas, since then he had disappeared."

"So fast?..."

"Who knows how he did it, let’s just hope Captain Remira doesn’t catch wind of this, warn others from talking about that fiend when close to her room."

Such was the sentint among the Knights, they didn’t speak much about the happenings and were instead going all over the city to handle the issues that rose up after the attack.

And on the third day when Majodar had just left to visit the Emperor, a figure appeared in the Rudrain branch of Radiant Knights.

A figure wearing the uniform of a Radiant Magistar with thin glasses and a small suitcase in his hand. "Sir." His arrival was followed by Salutes one after another.

Magistars special breed of existences, so possess the Radiant Blood in their bodies, so don’t. The only defining feature of a Magistar is their strong spirituality that doesn’t need any kind of blood or mana to create miracles that appear weak in the physical world, though the impact they can cause in the spiritual world is huge.

Which is what made them very weak as well as strong at the sa ti.

And generally, they are always afforded a strong protection of Knights whenever they move around.

With one exception that is.

Magistar Jasper. He was soone without a single drop of Radiant blood in his body but with strong spirituality capable of gleaming into the minds of lesser beings without much effort. Using that strong spirituality, he was known to completely make himself disappear from the perspective of the majority of commoners and even Knights.

The only ones who can perceive his existence are Master rank and above, or the people Magistar allows.

Which in this case happens to be all the Radiant Knights.

Everyone who had visited the Headquarters above Leshen knows who Magistar Jasper is.

He is the one to help the Knights when they are suffering from ntal anguish or any kind of conundrum that makes it harder for them to act. He is like a friend to them, a family in whom they can confide their heart.

He was a kind of pillar for them, the man who had helped the Knights through so of the toughest tis.

"Sir, you are here?’ Asked the second in command of the branch.

"Yes, I was already in the way since receiving the report of the happenings here, though it would seem I ca in late." Jasper showed so pity before asking. "For now, I would like to et with our Retired Leader."

"I apologize for this Magistar Jasper, but Leader had gone to visit the emperor, it might take a while, at least a day or two."

"No, that won’t do." Jasper found this a bit annoying, such bad timing. "I ca here with the intent to give a psychic evaluation for any of the Knights suffering from ntal anguish, so if there is soone, send them toward ." He had heard of what this Flower Fiend was capable of.

The cruel way he killed people and the monsters he created out of them. Such misery and cruelty would always leave a mark on the minds of any normal person, and that mark can be exploited by certain bad people, which is what Jasper can’t allow.

Hearing Jasper’s words, the man showed a kind smile on his face with a hint of relief. "We do have so requests.., though, those can be treated later." The man paused before explaining. "Though we have a worse case on our hands, I hope you can give her priority." He had already tried this with the old leader. But whether it was because he belonged to the old generation, Majodar preferred that Remira deal with her issues herself.

But who knows how long that might take. So if the help arrives at the doorstep then all the more better.

Not to ntion, if he is not wrong, Jasper and Remira belong to the sa batch, but due to their talents, both of them walk two different paths. Though still remain in touch for obvious reasons.

Jasper is just that good. He had purified the minds of countless Knights, and ntal purification was what Remira needed.

And hearing the details, Jasper also didn’t refuse, instead with a worried look, he rushed to Remira’s room and found her still in bed, unmoving with dead eyes.
