The woman who ca in between the two was one other than the current leader of Tower of Arcana, who although not that interested in the promotion events done by her juniors, still had to take part in it if things got too serious.

Just like now.

"Archmage Sana, it’s a pleasure to et you." Although in the arena, he couldn’t see where she was, he still bowed to show his respect.

Anyone should be in this position.

Archmage Sana joined the Tower of Arcana just a year ago under the urge and so gifts from the Mage Institute, but she only ca here as a temporary head of the Tower of Arcana, soone to take the helm so that people don’t look down on them for too long.

aning, that Archmage Sana had to do nothing and still earn a good paycheck for her research subjects, such a life was sothing to be envious of.

But although she can act as she wants in the tower, it doesn’t an that she has no responsibility at all.

She still had an act to keep up. The public needs to be aware of her majesty, they need to be in her awe and know that the Tower of Arcana is not weak.

It’s why although her research was important, she chose to join this exchange between young people. Though she mostly watched it from afar, never intending to join up with the kids until the situation called for it.

And in the end, it did.

"Seems like I won this ti," Ludwig spoke from the side, turning the faces of all particulates red with so frustration.

"We lost to our greed." The mbers from the Tower of Transmutation were the first to hand over their items and yes, it was multiple items, that were akin to prototype magic artifacts that built their Tower. Each one was a bit cheaper in value compared to the sacred Bone of Ludwig’s but replaced the lack of quality with quantity. "I appreciate your gift..." Ludwig while taking out a card and handing it to the mages. "Also, as I said before, I brought the bone for exchange and I still intend to use it for that very purpose. So if you are interested, we can talk after this farce is over."

The use of the term farce was intentional on Ludwig’s part, which caused the face of Qubair and so other noble families to turn sour.

Yes, this was really a farce and as Ludwig said last ti to Qubair, the man he chose was a total fool.

A fool who can’t even back his arrogance. And that’s not the worst part.

After his defeat with many of his retainers coming to help Lucius up, he still seed to deny his reality.

"This can’t be." He tried to fight off his retainers, cursing and talking crazy-like. "You cheated... you poisoned ... I can’t lose." Absurd words that seed too asinine to even believe for his very retainers.

Not to ntion, a bla of that nature against a Royal was akin to asking for imdiate execution and the only reason people can ignore him was due to his own identity being the sa.

But not, many started to wonder if this fool of a man was really of royal blood.

No one denied his strength, but he lacked the oppressive aura that Amir exuded to those around him.

And when thinking about it all again, it beca apparent that what they feared was never Lucius’ majesty, as he lacked it to begin with. What they feared was always his identity and strength.

A strength that had been broken easily by Amir, who barely looked tired as the two crows that were born out of his body returned to him, a scene that surprised a few more people who were aware of how the Bloodcrow Technique worked.

’He modified it completely.’ Soone walking the path of self-cultivation, they were as rare as feathers among the Knight, because self-cultivation required more than just talent and effort.

It requires a sharp mind that can safely create a new path on its own. A path on which only one can walk.

And a path rife with death when it cos to the Royal family.

Though such things were only known among a few older mbers of the Royal Family and . And although no one present was aware of such matters, I did.

Soros, who seed to be going through constant rebirths at the mont faced the sa scenario, where his entire family was annihilated, which coincided with the death of his great-grandmother, who was also Duke Wortham’s only sister.

’The poor old man let their family live as long as his sister was alive.’

Considering that Blood crows were born from the Night Raven Clan, which they replaced.

It can be seen that they hold the sa fear that one day, the past will be repeated, so in order to prevent any of that from happening, they annihilate all the branches after enough ti has gone by.

With so obvious exceptions, considering Duke Wortham himself walks a Tyrannical path of his own. But he was immune to Royal family shenanigans due to being childless, hence there was no worry for branches from ever forming.

This also made wonder if this was done by Duke Wortham himself or if was he forced to never marry, never sire a child of his own, nor enjoy the blessings of his grandkids.

’No wonder, he is such a bitter old man.’

But so what if he is a sad old man, the amount of lives he took, many of which belonged to my people was imnse.

Walking out of the Arena and borrowing so robes from the tower mages, Amir found that there was the familiar face of Hemant guarding the door, which was expected.

But what he didn’t expect was an additional face that he doesn’t know much about.

And isn’t this a private room? Why is there soone random here?

Of course, only a fool would have such thoughts, from the very fact that Hemant didn’t dare to throw her out and from the look of respect in his eyes. Which matched with all the things he experienced before made it all the easier for Amir to know who she was. "I wonder if there is a matter Tower Master wants to discuss with ?"

Neither humble nor arrogant. With his earlier greeting done in the arena beforehand, there was no need to repeat it in this private room.

Not to ntion, after looking at her wrinkled face, he can confirm one thing. ’She doesn’t hold any bad intentions against .’

This was good enough, considering how both mages that were sent to the battleground were on Ludwig’s list of headaches, aning they were working together to oppressive him, and in turn, they would do the sa.

So would this old man repeat the things her disciples did?

Amir can’t be sure as of now, because as they say, you can’t predict anything from the face of an old fox.

"I was wondering what kind of Prince you were... so I ca for a visit." Old Mage Sana was never interested in anything Tower-related unless it required her to show her face to the public from ti to ti.

But this ti, her job was done when she stopped the fight by displaying her majesty. She didn’t leave and instead chose to stay for a while.

She was interested in this boy.

But Amir, after hearing those words, suddenly soured his mood for a bit. ’That question again.’

What kind of prince you were, it’s a question he had heard before and a question that had left a long impact on him. So he asked this old woman. "What do you think? What kind of Prince am I?" Amir sad in the chair, as if the whole room belonged to him, showing no respect to the woman in front of him at this mont.

Though seeing such a gait and Amir’s tone, the woman understood that she might have said sothing offensive to this young man. "I don’t want my funding cut, so let’s forget what I said." She was decisive, there was no need to be led on by a youngster. Instead, she chose to do the things she had planned before, "I am just here to discuss the offenses that Sehra might have made out of ignorance."

"Attempting to redeem your understudy?" Amir wondered before he noticed sothing else. "The discussion you have in mind, is Qubair not included?"

"You catch on fast." The old woman nodded to Amir. "I am just here for Sehra, you can do whatever you want with Qubair, I don’t mind it." Her intent was obvious, she was here to redeem herself the woman who had tried to stop this battle from happening.

And ignoring her intention behind her sudden support, the fact of the matter was that she still caused so problems for Ludwig.

The man who this old woman should talk to instead, so why she was here discussing this with Amir?

Or so he wondered.

"Madam, she is not a child and I believe she is older than , defending her won’t do you any good, nor does it do any good by speaking about it to . Ludwig is the one to suffer under the actions of that mage of yours, I just joined."

Amir’s intentions were clear.

He had no interest in this matter whatsoever, nor did he hold any rights to make decisions for his cousin.
