In the orphanage, there was a rumor.

"An angel cos in your dreams and gives you gifts if you are at the top of the academy."

Many among the orphanage spoke of this angel, and Baldar grew up believing in it, hoping to one day beco soone blessed enough to be visited by the angel.

And the angel did co to him, along with so other troublemakers in the orphanage. Bringing with him the gift of transcendence for each of them. A gift that can make a social reject like him to beco soone greater, soone much higher than the insects that had looked down on him just because he was an orphan.

"I will show you." He said, using the knowledge he learned to punish the people that had given him wrong looks, ruin the lives of those that mocked him. And all in all, being a nace that was close to getting caught red-handed after using his talent as an exorcist to create chaos.

But this is what made him stood out from his peers.

Baldar was crazy, a boy driven by revenge and emotions to such an extent that it was absurd. He never excused any malice thrown his way, instead he always retaliated with even a greater malice once he got hold on power.

It was his weakness in so sense. A weakness caused by years of neglect and loneliness he experienced as an orphan. So this power was his way of getting back at society.

What was worse in his case that he was capable. Much more capable than the chosen peers of his, all of whom had talents of their own, but none of them could ever compare to his ingenuity when it cos to planning, and hiding his whereabouts. And the only reason he got caught was due to forces much greater than his own coming after him.

Forces right under my control. It’s where I learned of his little slights.

"Unlike others, your mission will be different." I told the boy, as I held such high hopes for him, I have to find a way to fix this little issue with him. Teach him moderation.

So I gave him a hard mission. "Live among the masses with your powers sealed, get close and fight alongside them on the battlefront." It was the first part of the mission, which went smoothly.

Although he struggled at first, but he soon adapted to his new life with the addition of soone special who I had been keeping an eye for a long ti.

She was special since the start, ignoring her wonderful history, including her Father, who was a special man in his own right, the girl called Sheva was even more special than her father.

For she carried ’its’ blood at a higher concentration than her parent. Making her very special in my eyes.

So I had used an excuse to kick her out of her old orphanage and then with simple suggestions made her join the military. Though, considering her bloodline, I never dared to ss with her head too much, simple psychological suggestions using so spies and tily propaganda was enough to lead her to military.

Causing the two future leaders of my team to et each other before the teams are established. Hoping that this would make the relationship between the two future teams sowhat perfect.

But what I didn’t consider was an unexpected result of creating such a scenario. "I refuse to give her sothing so accursed."

"What? Do you wish to go against our Master’s order?"

"The amount of people that have died due to that serum is insurmountable, how can I give this to Sheva?"

"Brother, what has happened to you? This is a gift from master, not poison." Owl was angered that day after hearing Baldar’s refusal. "It would have been better if she had drank it on her own, but if you are not going to do it, then all I can do is force it on her."

It is the first ti the two sowhat brothers fought against each other. And of course, the end was predictable, Baldar lost without any challenge. With his powers sealed, there was nothing he could do but be forced to take the vial and nod in agreent to Owl’s words.

But all of us knew, what happened a few days later.

Baldar betrayed my expectations and went against my orders. And in order to protect her, he even went as far as to sell his own well-being for my thirst for knowledge.

Did he really think I would let things go his way?

It was never going to happen, she was an important part of the future that I had planned, including her father that hadn’t been seen in a long while.

"Success." I could feel a sense of unease spread on the world of dreams, as if a powerful being just searched for soone in it. A being carrying an energy that I was very familiar with.

’The sword that will kill its owner.’

Bone of Judgent. Few know of his existence, and he is barely ntioned in the current gospels of Church of Red Sun. For he appeared as a re angel that has supported the Sun since the ti immorial in dealing with the Evil Dead.

He judged the evil in a person’s soul, that was his job. Or so they said in gospels before moving onto other angels.

Though, the truth was sothing entirely else.

Bone of Judgent was a being of pure malice, who enjoyed raining down punishnts on the corrupt and evil.

But what is evil? What is corrupt?

As the definition of those words might change from culture to culture, one can’t say which is which at the end of the day.

The answer to it all lies in Karma.

’I should be safe for now.’ My Karma was clear, or it should be considering I have hidden myself with Krotal’s skin as well as his karma.

And for a child like him, I don’t believe he had committed many cris.

Making it much easier for my next step of plans to succeed.

But that was for the future, currently, I need to focus on dealing with this descendant of the dying noble family. Who was my ticket to freedom of Blue Rose’s wrath.

"Thank for bringing to this point." He suddenly spoke to after much effort. But I can see his eyes, which leaked tears of blood. The experience on those stairs had been harrowing for him.

"But... but I will go from here, on my own." He said to and I nodded without any issue.

And as if on cue, Lecarth did what was expected of him, he made a mistake and after giving away the secret of his bizarre magic to Remira. He was forced away by her as she struck him on the back, leaving a long injury on his back.

"You."

"You didn’t move , you moved the place where I was standing on." She spoke, before rushing toward him for the killing blow.

The answer was really simple, the curse that Lecarth controls is the Lost curse. You can never reach your destination that you desire. Those carrying this curse are virtually lost in this world, unable to even eat or drink if they desire, for they can never reach the conclusion, the place where those items will be kept.

Making it a dangerous curse to carry, unless you can control it. And Lecarth just did that. Its why I brought him into this place.

’Good job.’ I enjoyed the little act of his, while he left the stage fearing Remira’s attack. But it was enough.

I have earned her respect, her trust to so extent. Including the trust of the boy that walked close to the altar and then started to look around, all the riches that were spread around.

’Tell , what is it that she wants.’ I looked forward to what he was going to do.

Was it to destroy the altar? That would be considered blasphemous, and Blue rose probably doesn’t intend to beco hunted by those bastards. So was it to steal one of the items from here?

No, that cant be it as well, only can only choose one thing from this place.

Was it that rusted sword with so dried blood on it? Or the old skull on which a vine grew lustrously.

What was it?

"Ah, Sir Knight..." I said to Remira who caught up to us in no ti, while giving deep look and saying. "Stay here." She said. And I nodded in response, showing that I had no intentions on taking any part of their glorious montum at this point.

"I will, I just hope Sir Knight can promise a future away from this dirt?" I asked, and she looked at deeply, before nodding. "I will see to it."

So close to her, so close, and she doesn’t even notice anything wrong with .

’Vegal, I will kiss you if you were not so ugly.’
