Lu Jia’er uttered no words. “Do you know who you remind of right now?” Jin Xiangdong made fun of her.

Looking into his eyes, she asked, “Who?”

“Lin Daiyu from the novel Dream of the Red Chamber!” Jin Xiangdong revealed his answer.

Lu Jia’er understood what he was implying right away. “Are you saying that I am sentintal?”

Imdiately afterward, Lu Jia’er felt the bed cave in. Jin Xiangdong ca to bed and pulled her into his embrace. Lu Jia’er snuggled into his arms with her face resting on his chest. Then, she heard Jin Xiangdong’s deep and pleasant voice. “That analogy was not accurate. I believe what you are feeling is fear and confusion.”

Surely Jin Xiangdong was the one that could understand her.

Like a drowsy kitten, Lu Jia’er found herself a nice spot in his embrace before she began to reply. “Fear and confusion are not the only emotions I have. I am also happy!”

Lu Jia’er being nestled in his arms tickled his heart. Still, he desired to find out what she was thinking. He circled back to his previous question. “What was on your mind?”

Lu Jia’er deliberately kept him guessing. “I won’t tell you.”

Jin Xiangdong rocked her gently. “As your boyfriend, I should share your troubles and worries.”

“What gave you the idea that there are troubles and worries? I was thinking about sothing happy just now!” Lu Jia’er argued.

Jin Xiangdong poked her forehead with his finger. “Just now, your eyebrows were so tightly knitted together. Tell , you know you can tell anything.”

Lu Jia’er was eager to spill out her worries but was hesitant at the sa ti. Eventually, she chose to drop the matter. “I will talk to you when I have straightened out my thoughts.”

Jin Xiangdong lowered his head to look at her. Now that she had insisted so, he must wait till she was willing to open her mouth. Then, he planted a kiss on her forehead.

Lu Jia’er enjoyed monts of intimacy like this very much. She rubbed on his neck like a kitten and put her arms around his body.

Jin Xiangdong held her tightly with his big hands. Gradually, they fell asleep in each other’s embrace.

The next day, Jin Xiangdong took Lu Jia’er to Jin Xianglan’s biology research center.

Jin Xianglan drove her car so she arrived at the research center separately but at the sa ti as her brother. After they went through the gate, they looked at the buildings at the front and the layout of the plants, sohow, Lu Jia’er found it familiar. She could not help but look outside through the window. The car was going right. She had to turn around to keep looking behind.

Jin Xiandong misinterpreted her action as a sign of nervousness. “Are you feeling nervous?”

Lu Jia’er, who had been gazing through the window, looked away from the outside. “No!”

“Have you seen any familiar faces?” Jin Xiangdong asked again.

Lu Jia’er shook her head. “How could I know soone here?”

Jin Xiangdong saw Jin Xianglan getting out of the car because she arrived a bit earlier than they did. “Don’t you know my sister?” He grinned.

Lu Jia’er chuckled and snorted at him. “Yes, I do!”

Jin Xiangdong’s lips curled up. He parked his car with ease within the parking spot, unbuckled his seat belt and looked at Lu Jia’er who exchanged eye contact with him. The two of them got out of the car at the sa ti.

They followed Jin Xianglan to her office.

Jin Xianglan put on a lab coat, grabbed her pass and brought the couple into the lab.

Attentive as Lu Jia’er was, she was carefully observing things along the way. She noticed three screening points on the way to the lab.

Facial recognition, fingerprint identification, and eye-authentication processes were all applied here. The varied screening processes were proof of the high level of security of this biology research center.

At the sa ti, when a security level classification was set up, it would an that so strictly confidential secrets would be buried here.
