Chapter 1: Will You Be My Boyfriend?

Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations

It is often said that human hearts are unpredictable. But for Lu Jia’er, the hearts of the people are transparent because she can hear the inner voice of anyone.

...

In the big lecture hall of B University, a psychology course was currently underway.

“Behavioral psychology 1 can also be said to be a kind of mind reading. We can clearly predict the behaviors of people standing in front of us and their true thoughts through movents, postures, outfits and eyes...”

The voice ca from Lu Jia’er, a beautiful young female professor in good shape.

“...Actions. Say the light touch of the nose. When a person touches the nose with their hand, low frequency or just a light touch is normal while high frequency suggests that they are lying. A well-known case is that of the forr U.S. President Bill Clinton. When being questioned by the court for the scandal, he touched his nose nearly 26 tis, which ans he was trying to cover up the facts with lies while his body habitually touched his nose lightly. Another example would be when a person wants to lie, their eyes will blink involuntarily...”

At this ti, a male student raised his hand and Lu Jia’er gave her permission. “Go ahead.”

The male student said in a serious manner. “Professor Lu, you were just talking about people touching their noses. What if this person just so happens to have a cold or a sinus infection?”

His remark made the students burst out laughing.

Lu Jia’er glanced at the male student. “Even if there is an etiological factor, you can still interpret a person’s heart through their expressions and reactions.”

“Professor Lu, can you tell what I’m thinking at this exact mont through my words and expressions?” The male student stared at Lu Jia’er as he asked another question with great interest.

Lu Jia’er always welcod curiousness in students. A quick glance at the male student, she observed a tall and handso young man who was keeping eye contact with her.

Lu Jia’er kept her gaze on his face for a few seconds and then she said, “The real thought in your heart at this mont is that Professor Lu on the platform is not only beautiful but also knowledgeable. The girlfriend I will pursue in the future must be like her!”

As soon as the words were uttered, the lecture hall burst into laughter. That was typical of Professor Lu Jia’er whose teaching thod followed no set form.

“Just a little joke! But the reaction you gave after hearing what I said — eyebrows raised slightly, eyes wide open, mouth slightly ajar, and a blush that covered your entire face. All of which showed that you are surprised and ashad, thus proving that my words are correct!” Lu Jia’er continued.

The male student bit his lower lip with a throbbing throat and steeled himself before he shouted at Lu Jia’er on the platform. “Professor Lu, I like you very much!”

Faced with the male student who showed love to her in the classroom, Lu Jia’er, kept her mind calm and peaceful as she stood on the podium. With the corners of her mouth rising slightly, she delivered in her trademark soft voice through the microphone to every corner of the classroom. “Thank you for liking my course!”

“I not only like your course, but I also like you!” the male student corrected.

“Like ?” Lu Jia’er replied with poise and grace. “It shows that you have good taste. Actually, to be honest, I also like you very much!”

Everyone was amused by Lu Jia’er’s humor and the classroom was filled with laughter once again.

“Thank you for making our class so lively.” Lu Jia’er smiled lightly. “Everyone please thank him with applause! And you, please be seated!”

Disappointnt was written all over the boy’s face as he sat down dejectedly. Lu Jia’er had noticed all this. In fact, she had euphemistically been told of his true feelings.

As the course continued, ti flew and before long the class ca to an end. Lu Jia’er closed the handout and said, “The class is over now. See you next week!”

“Professor Lu, see you next week!” the students said in chorus.

Lu Jia’er was leaving the lecture hall with her teaching plan in hand when several students went after her to ask questions.

Thirty minutes later, with a bag in one hand and the teaching plan in the other, Lu Jia’er was finally in the parking lot approaching her white Cayenne, when she saw a gentleman coming out of a luxurious and stylish Maybach.

He was tall, handso and wearing a black t-shirt with a pair of cuffed light blue denim. Casual but stylish. Rays of sunlight slanted to create a beautiful glow on his figure.

Lu Jia’er blinked and looked into his eyes as the expression on her face shifted to one of amazent.

“Hello.” The gentleman approached her and voluntarily reached out to her. “I am BUA’s Jin Xiangdong! I’ve heard that Professor Lu wanted to see ?”

Jin Xiangdong! Lu Jia’er imdiately used her brain to search for the na and quickly got relevant mories.

Jin Xiangdong, a rumored genius in the IT world and a legendary ugly man! The founder of BUA Technology and chief engineer of the company’s main project AI (Artificial-Intelligence). There was very little information about him on the Internet but there were many rumors circulating about him.

Lu Jia’er sized him up again and found out that the rumors were not reliable. It is said that God is fair. If you were given good looks, then you wouldn’t have a very high IQ. Vice versa. God had undoubtedly favored this man in front of her a little bit more than others.

A low profile person like him had made an appearance in front of her. It must be about her refusal to be a psychology engineer for the AI project at BUA Technology, which did not matter so much at the mont. What did matter, however, were the words echoing into her mind: if love at first sight is a thing of fiction, then at this very mont, fiction has beco a reality.

“Mr. Jin.” Lu Jia’er slowly reached out, shook hands with him and blurted out. “Will you be my boyfriend?”
