Their footsteps carried them through the traditional Donghua courtyard that had transford into a modern courtyard villa.

It was the best of the ancient Donghua architecture and advanced Dongn conveniences—the best that Xu Feng could draw up and describe to the renovators in a short week period and the best Lady Xuan’s money could afford.

The picturesque setting with elegant architecture, and carefully placed stones was breathtaking under the glow of the moon. The serene ambiance provided a stark contrast to the unease that had settled in their hearts.

They ventured only a short distance beyond the greenhouse in Blooming Courtyard before Xu Feng involuntarily sneezed, an innocent and natural event that shifted the atmosphere.

"We should return inside," Xuan Jian suggested, his words carrying a sense of finality that mirrored the tension that had enveloped their conversation.

Xuan Jian’s next suggestion didn’t raise any alarm bells for Xu Feng.

In fact, he appreciated the man’s willingness to assist in his quest for knowledge. With their conversation paused for the mont, the three n returned indoors, the chilly evening air replaced by the warmth of the main house.

Beneath their feet, the floors exuded a luxurious warmth, a welco indulgence, especially during the bitter winter months. They emitted a gentle, radiant heat that spread throughout the room, enveloping every corner in a cocoon of comforting, even temperature.

The sensation was nothing short of divine for the ancient n, providing an extra layer of coziness to the already inviting living space.

Once inside and comfortable, Xu Feng turned to Si and San. The two girls had just returned to the main house after clearing the dining room and washing the dishes.

Addressing the two diligent girls, Xu Feng started, "You girls have been wonderful today, but it’s getting late."

Si and San both seed to visibly deflate at this turn of events. They were spending less and less ti with their young mistress and it was only the first day after he officially married into the Xuan family.

"You should head back to your chambers and get so rest. We’ll be seeing off the Xuan family elders tomorrow morning, and we all need to be well-rested."

Si and San nodded in agreent, their expressions a mix of respect and sadness, but at least they would be going shopping in town the next day!

They bowed to acknowledge their young master, Xuan Yang, and his servant, Xuan Jian, before offering a more affectionate "Goodnight" to Xu Feng.

"Sleep well."

As the girls retreated to their chambers, Xu Feng, Xuan Yang, and Xuan Jian settled into the living room. The modern furniture that adorned Xu Feng’s living space exuded comfort, inviting relaxation and open conversation.

However, despite the plush surroundings, Xuan Jian remained visibly squirmy, his deanor betraying a sense of unease.

Their dialogue resud, intensified, and then began to die down as the hour grew later. As Xu Feng absorbed and consolidated the information, Xuan Jian broached the topic once more, this ti for the third ti that evening.

"Perhaps we should check the toys before retiring for the night?" he suggested, his words laced with an innocent concern.

Xu Feng felt a pang of realization wash over him. It dawned on him that, perhaps, he had been a bit naive in his initial evaluation of the situation.

Even if the beginning had been seemingly innocent, it had taken an unexpected turn, and Xuan Jian had skillfully maneuvered him into a compromising position. All the while, Xuan Yang stood by without interfering.

A sense of irritation washed over Xu Feng as he recognized that he had been played. His earlier trust had been exploited, and he couldn’t help but feel a touch of foolishness for falling into the subtle trap that had been set for him.

The man clearly wanted to make sure he would do a better job in bed next week. For whose benefit this was, Xu Feng was unsure...

As they entered Xu Feng’s room, he paused briefly, his gaze lingering on the elegant and sturdy king-sized bed that dominated the space. The bed’s fra was adorned with intricate carvings, showing off it’s beautiful craftsmanship and artistry.

At the foot of the bed, a discreet and beautifully carved hidden compartnt was seamlessly integrated into the design, offering both functionality and aesthetics.

With a deep breath, Xu Feng took a mont to compose himself before he asked the two n to turn around and close their eyes. He wanted to maintain an air of secrecy as he retrieved his hidden treasures.

Both Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian looked each other in the eyes—one pair a deep and the other grey, both sharing a hidden conversation—before nodding and complying to the ger’s request. This was his space after all.

The hidden compartnts, cleverly concealed at the head and foot of the bed seamlessly blended with the overall piece. Xu Feng wanted to maintain his secret spaces. Next ti he would need to ask them to leave the room beforehand.

Xu Feng’s hesitation was palpable as he reached into the compartnt and retrieved the second box, the one containing the toys rather than educational materials. Carefully, he placed it on the bed, his actions deliberate and calculated, trying to make as little telling noises as possible.

"You can turn around now," he said, a note of uncertainty in his voice as he invited them to share in his special toys.

Both Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian’s eyes were drawn to the new item resting on the bed, sothing barely perceivable flickering in their gazes.

Xuan Yang pulled up a seat, his manner composed and at ease, as he gestured for the other two n to continue. He appeared perfectly comfortable in this setting as if it were a familiar routine.

On the other hand, Xuan Jian appeared slightly perplexed, his usual stoic facade briefly faltering. He watched as Xu Feng settled onto the bed, making himself comfortable, and prepared to absorb whatever insights the man who had tad Xuan Yang’s formidable "snake," "sword," or "pepper," whatever you wanted to call it, had to offer.

Xuan Jian’s confusion lingered. He raised an eyebrow and finally asked, "What about the other box I sent? Did you find it useful?"
