Xu Feng’s voice was calm, but there was a subtle undercurrent of determination that hinted at his unwillingness to give up.

Still, his heart sank as the official’s words sank in. Despite his best efforts, he couldn’t bypass the bureaucratic hurdles standing in their way.

The official nodded in acknowledgnt of Xu Feng’s understanding, appreciating the young master’s composed deanor.

"Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, Master Xu Feng. However, the procedures for altering family registries are stringent and cannot be expedited. It is imperative that we follow the established guidelines to prevent any potential misuse or abuse."

"I respect the rules and regulations, sir," Xu Feng replied. "But I also hope you understand that these three individuals—Xu Si, Xu San, and Xu Hu Zhe—are as dear to as family. I wish to grant them not only freedom, but also the recognition they deserve."

The official leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on Xu Feng not replying.

Under the official unchanged gaze, Xu Feng glanced back at Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang, who were still standing at a distance, their eyes focused and unreadable. The air of authority and detachnt that clung to them was undeniable, but even their presence seed like it might not be enough to resolve this matter.

Maybe this decision wasn’t the right one?

To all those present, Xu Feng’s previously calm and serene face was obviously distressed or at the very least uncomfortable as he ran through his next course of action.

Quickly glancing at the quiet but observant girls—seemingly ek as they took in the entire scene—and the unresponsive Xu Hu Zhe—who wasn’t fooling him, the boy had a straight face, but his hands couldn’t stay still for more than a few seconds.

Xu Feng had the nagging feeling he should make sure these three and Xu Zeng—he couldn’t let go of the feeling of being indebted to Xu Zeng—had a connection to Nanshan estate.

Even if sothing happened to him, he wanted to know everyone would survive, even if they had to sell the estate at a discount to do so. With a greater understanding of the immortal bloodline families, the Xuan family was likely stronger and more influential than he could imagine.

His attempts at handing over a bit of silver hadn’t worked either...

He offered a polite nod to the official and said, "I understand the necessity of following procedures, sir."

He looked back at Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang, who were no longer a distance away. The two n had seed to move magically and were closer than Xu Feng rembered.

They exchanged knowing glances and made a silent decision. With a nod from Xuan Jian, they approached the official.

"We understand the necessity of procedures," Xuan Jian spoke, his voice carrying an air of authority. "However, we wish to speak with you privately about this matter, if you don’t mind."

The governnt official, sensing the gravity of the situation, agreed to step aside with Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang while Xu Feng, Xu Si, Xu San, and Xu Hu Zhe remained in the hall, awaiting their return.

"Hahhhh," Xu Feng dropped his façade montarily. It was exhausting talking to people and attempting to maintain such a serious attitude and speak with the right words for the era. Despite his similarities to Xu Zeng, he wasn’t a native of this world.

"Master..." Xu Si had just opened her mouth to comfort Xu Feng when Xuan Jian popped out of the private chamber, a small smile in his eyes as he stared at his lover.

"All four Xu family mbers need to stamp their thumbs on the docunts to finalize the procedures."

The four Xu’s in question seed confused at first, but that didn’t last for long.

Xu Si, Xu San, and Xu Hu Zhe couldn’t contain their excitent, their faces lighting up with hope and anticipation. This unexpected developnt brought a glimr of happiness to their hearts, and they were eager to seal their fate as official mbers of Xu Feng’s family.

Xu Si, Su San, and even Xu Hu Zhe had already perked up full of eagerness at the turn of events before Xu Feng joined them with a dazzling smile, "What about Xu Zeng?"

Xuan Jian looked sharply at Xu Feng. This would be sothing they would need to possibly talk about in private. Xu Feng had ntioned Xu Zeng as a septate person several tis, there was obviously so secret here.

As far as he knew, Xu Feng was Xu Zeng, although his new household registration didn’t reflect that, that was the na Xu Feng went by when he first entered Nanshan estate.

They were being more open with each other, if Xu Feng was willing to share, he was willing to listen. "You can take his place."

.

.

.

In only 15 minutes, what had taken Xu Feng nearly an hour—with no luck—was finalized, and the paperwork was still fresh in his hands!

They had only narrowly managed to avoid having to visit the magistrate! The Xuan family’s young master had weight in Yilin Town.

It was good having a husband. It was good having two powerful husbands. The Xuan na and maybe being a martial artist, could get you very far. Xu Feng was going to get spoilt with treatnt like this.

The ordeal inside had ended on a positive note, and the burden of red tape had been lifted from his shoulders. He had taken another step in securing the futures of his family mbers!

His steps were light, and there was a pep in his step as if the weight of the world had been lifted from his shoulders. The smile on his lips was infectious and drew the attention of passersby.

Normally, Xu Feng would try to contain himself and make sure to remain as inconspicuous as possible. But today, other people’s opinions were far from his mind.

People couldn’t help but glance in his direction, their curiosity piqued by the sight of such a stunning and joyful figure. Xu Feng had an undeniable and magnetic presence.

He circled around a smiling Xuan Yang sending praises to the young master that could move mountains and had moved mountains for him!

"That’s the cheater and immoral ger I told you about." A voice that ’attempted’ to whisper, but was clearly heard even from a distance away entered Xu Feng’s ears.

"The one with the pierced ears?" Another voice questioned with disdain, "He is clearly married, yet he moves around with three n freely in the day!"

"Hmm," A third voice mocked loudly, "This is why life is so hard for us well mannered gers."
