As the silence lingered, Xu Feng found himself locked in a continuous scrutiny of the face before him. The resemblance was hauntingly precise, igniting a sense of familiarity that refused to dissolve.

Yet, amid this uncanny resemblance, a blurry contrast erged. Xu Feng had encountered Xuan Muyang and Xuan Murong, the elder figures of the Xuan lineage, in person. However, their physical presence hadn’t invoked the sa feeling of connection or recognition that this ethereal figure did.

It was as if this ghostly entity held a familiarity that surpassed blood ties.

The mystery deepened, posing yet more questions for Xu Feng to grapple with. Why did this ghostly figure strike a chord within him, unlike the living mbers of the Xuan family?

After a few lingering heartbeats, Xu Feng’s expression shifted from contemplation to a subtle roll of his eyes, accompanied by a faint rub at his stomach. While the hunger pangs had subsided, a different craving began to surface—one that extended beyond the realms of fruits and vegetables.

How much ti had passed within this mystical space? His thoughts drifted to Bai Mo, his family, and the frantic worries regarding his sudden disappearance. Concern etched across his features as he pondered the implications of his absence on those he held dear.

’How long had he been in this space? How was Bai Mo? His family? His family...’

Unbeknownst to Xu Feng, the ghost’s countenance underwent an imperceptible change, a shift in emotion too subtle for him to discern. Lost in his reverie, he dwelled on the potential repercussions of his vanishing act on Xuan Jian and Xuan Yang.

Would they search the mountains tirelessly, tracing torn cloth and marks in an attempt to locate him? Would the evidence lead them to conclude his tragic demise?

The thought of their potential grief, of mourning his loss, weighed heavily on Xu Feng’s mind, casting a shadow of worry over his features. As he contemplated the impact of his disappearance, an overwhelming concern for the emotional toll it might take on his lovers clouded his thoughts.

With that train of thought, the look in Xu Feng’s eyes were far away. The look in the ghost’s face changed, there was so new emotion that could barely be deciphered.

For Xu Feng though, he was worried. He was gone for at least several days!

...Would his family grieve for him?

The pain in his eyes in this mont caused the specter to frown, deeply. As if seeing Xu Feng upset had caused him displeasure.

His cave full of energy was usurped, and his rations shared with the silver haired interloper, yet he dared to be displeased in his great presence.

Xu Feng on the other hand was worried about his lovers. Even if he felt like the third wheel at tis, he knew they would miss him. Both of them would miss him. Even if they did want a child more than another lover, they would still miss him.

No matter how he spun the story, and how much he created long tales about his worth in either Xuan Yang or Xuan Jian’s hearts, he held a place in their hearts.

"Sigh," He was good at sighing, but it was true, you truly understand the worth of sothing or soone when you lose it/them.

Instead of playing petty gas, it was better for him to build a life he was proud of. If he really couldn’t stand to be the third wheel between Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian, after a child was born...no, before a child was born, he would break things off.

Xu Feng had never felt comfortable about selling his child to so big family, especially not to one that didn’t even see him as a person. It was the second reason why he was so obsessed with this forsaken mountain and making money in so way.

If he was to refuse to birth a child, he would likely need to compensate Lady Xuan in so way.

But then again, most of that didn’t matter in his current situation. If he never made his way back to Nanshan estate, the most important thing was what would happen to the new Xus.

They had his last na, and were no longer slaves. Xuan Yang said most everything was taken care of, but the final step required Xu Feng to go to a governnt office.

Regardless, the new Xus, Xu Si, Xu San, and Xu Hu Zhe were all part of his Xu family, but he needed to be present for them to be able to inherit his land in case of misfortune, just as a guarantee.

Xu Feng also wanted to put Xu Zeng down in his family tree as well. If he died, and the other regained this body, he shouldn’t have to live as Xu Feng, he should use his own na once again...and not be tied down by Xu Feng’s mistakes.

As Xu Feng was trying to bury himself in his thoughts, and finalize his last wishes, the specter in front of him seed agitated by his lowered move, and was rocking back and forth unconsciously, his transparent brows furrowed.

’Those of the third gender must maintain a calr temperant in order to live a longer life. Undue worries will tamper with one’s longevity and cultivation.’

After a few heart beats, the specter seed to notice the silver haired ger hadn’t registered its warning, and was still deep in thought.

How could one be so deep in thought that they missed the sound of a ghost’s voice in his subconscious? The silver haired ger truly was troubleso, and he was already regretting his next actions.

Yet, Dong Yang felt compelled to elevate the ger’s mood, even though the ger was a howrecker...

’What is worrying this interloper in my abundant domain?’ The question seed haughty and domineering, like sothing Xuan Yang might say.

This thought broke through Xu Feng’s worries as a smile lit up his face.

At least he could look at this cranky, old ass ghost, and not feel like he had completely lost his new family. There would always be Xuan Yang’s face at the very least. The face of his nominal husband to accompany him.
