The soft lips against his lips made everything a little better, but Xu Feng was more concerned with other things. Even the reassuring smile on Xuan Yang’s face was only a little calming
"Did sothing happen..." Xu Feng asked again, this ti the question trailed off with the unsaid words hanging in the air.
Even unsaid, the rest of the sentence was obvious to both parties. ’Did sothing happen to Xuan Jian?’
The other man wasn’t there. Not that Xuan Yang and Xuan Jian were always together. They had so shared interests and a lot of downti over winter, but they both were unique individuals.
Xuan Jian was also a scholar. He’d only sat for the Xuicai exam and received the title, but that wasn’t because he wasn’t intelligent or ambitious enough to continue sitting for the Juren and then Jinshi examinations.
It was clear Xuan Yang had what it took to continue on the scholars’ path. When Xu Feng had a question, and Xuan Yang was busy, he could openly ask the iceberg for help.
When Erlang had a chance, he would often ask Xuan Jian for both writing or reading help and martial arts help. After Xu Feng fell "ill" with a certain throat problem in January, he was worried the two n wouldn’t be able to see eye to eye.
But this was a completely unnecessary worry. The two n, Xuan Yang and Erlang, had grown a lot closer over the winter.
While Xuan Jian had equal status with the other two masters, Xuan Yang and Xu Feng, in the Nanshan estate, maybe the fact that he had a book boys’ servant status before seed to make it easier for Erlang to go to the otherwise cold man for help.
Xu Feng would be lying if he said this didn’t annoy him. How could Erlang study martial arts and he couldn’t!? He was older than the other boy!
But back to the first tangent.
Just like that, not only were Xuan Jian and Erlang practicing martial arts, but even Xian Yang knew so basics and loved to go hunting in the mountains occasionally.
Learning was his first love, but Xuan Yang was knowledgeable outside of being a scholar and while he could spend all his ti with Xuan Jian if he wanted to, that wasn’t the case.
The two snakes enjoyed doing their own things, but also had shared interests.
Snapping out of Xu Feng’s head...
"Nothing happened to Jian," The Xuan young master said with a small smile, "I missed you."
With that, Xu Feng was even more confused, or at least a bit dumbfounded.
Why was he tangled up in the head?
Because Xu Feng saw this very perverted young master early this morning AND late the previous night. It wasn’t like they hadn’t seen each other recently.
Also, Xuan Yang didn’t express any feelings about Xu Feng’s exam status. It wasn’t like he had heard what happened to him during the exam, why was he the one being dramatic?
Xuan Yang looked down at the ger in his arms, and his smile only widened. It was clear Xu Feng was trapped in his own thoughts. This wasn’t the first ti, and it wouldn’t be the last ti. No matter what he was doing, Xu Feng could find a way to get trapped in his head at a mont’s notice.
Without thinking any further, Xuan Yang picked up the silver haired ger as if he weighed nothing at all. In a split second, Xu Feng was airborne in the small carriage, he was already slightly crouched as was Xuan Yang.
Xu Feng took in a quick breath as he tried to recenter himself.
Then, they were out of the carriage without so much as a single word to the servant who had been leading the horse and driving Xu Feng’s BMW of ancient tis.
The sense of urgency in the other man’s movents was evident. Xuan Yang’s hands held onto Xu Feng securely, and in response, Xu Feng wrapped his arms around the young master’s neck, holding on as they moved rapidly across the estate grounds.
They made their way from the main gates of Nanshan estate, past the small pond and the various ornantal trees. The springti in Nanshan truly was breathtaking.
The surroundings were picturesque. The Nanshan estate was alive with the vibrant colors of spring, blossoming flowers, and the soothing sounds of nature. The air carried the sweet scent of flowers in bloom, creating a serene atmosphere that only added to Xu Feng’s bewildernt.
Despite the beauty surrounding them, the suddenness of their actions made Xu Feng’s heart flutter.
But before he could voice more questions for the slippery snake below him, they were further away from the main gates, leaving behind the picturesque scenery and the estate’s bustle.
Blooming Courtyard was soon in sight, and two figures could be seen waiting at the gate.
"Master Feng!"
"Welco back Master!"
Both Si and San were excitedly waiting for the return of their forr young mistress and the current Master Feng of the Nanshan estate.
"Thank you," Xu Feng smiled as Xuan Yang adjusted him into a princess carry.
Thinking the wild ride was over, the ger attempted to disembark from the rollercoaster, but said rollercoaster tightened its grip around his body.
"Leave us," it was only two words, but the two words were enough for Si and San. They had spent an entire winter with Xuan Yang, Xuan Jian, and Xu Feng. While they called Blooming Courtyard their ho, they spent a lot of ti in the servants’ quarters for reasons...
Si and San’s faces grew red, as they bowed, keeping their eyes to the ground and scurrying off into the greenery of the estate.
The warm smile on Xu Feng’s face stayed plastered in place without budging in the slightest as the taller man carried him through the threshold.
They weren’t going as fast anymore as they passed through the courtyard that matched its na. Everything was Blooming, bright, and beautiful. Beautiful, but not beautiful enough to keep Xu Feng’s attention.
Xu Feng’s face could only twitch as Xuan Yang made a beeline for their...no his bedroom.
