The flight ho was long. But it felt good to be ho, to have their things, their house staff, the sll of their garden. All the comforts of ho.

Even though things looked the sa.

Everything was different.

The next morning her intensive training started.

Ash woke Odette up just before sunset. And Odette was extrely reluctant to move from the bed, so Ash threw water on her.

She yelled loudly and quickly jumped out of bed.

"Get moving." Ash turned and left the room.

He wanted discipline, they couldn’t afford patience. She needed be to handle whatever abilities would manifest and their strengths. He didn’t know how fast her binding would lift. The bind lifted when she turned 16 and she was slamd with a strong and rare ability. Telekinesis was a no joke ability with near limitless possibilities in terms of growth.

Ash had thought about her ability’s strength and fast growth; what could have contributed to the oddity. He realized that maybe if they had never given the small bracelet, that was enchanted to enhance the binding spell, on her 13th birthday, it wouldn’t have backfire doubling her abilities strength in a matter of days and insanely powerful display at her birthday.

Ash looked at the bracelet that was still on her wrist, a feeling of guilt settling in. She might have had better control on her abilities if they had just not interfered with the spell. She might have not lost it and killed the girls unknowingly.

But there was no telling what other abilities would have manifested, and being a hormonal adolescent, that’s a terrifying idea.

But what was done, was done. The only thing they could was train more diligently to have the ntal and physical strength to manage her abilities.

At least at 16 she had enough ntal maturity to handle her abilities as they are now. And physical strength to support the toll using certain abilities can take on the body. Every ability had a cost. Exhaustion was the most common.

Odette was trained diligently her life; he was confident in her.

She t him out on the training grounds.

"Since you were late, you’ll start with a 3-mile run. I want you at top speed for the first mile. You will have 10 minutes. To complete it or you’ll run it again."

Ash ordered her, he wasn’t going light on her either.

Odette groaned. The idea of running 3 miles in 10 minutes was dreadful.

But without question, she obeyed.

She took off at her top speed. It took her 3 minutes to run the first and second mile. And just barely making the third mile in 4.

"Slow, but you made it." Ash said to her. Ash could run a mile a minute without breaking a sweat. But her, it took Odette 3 minutes, and she definitely broke a sweat.

Bent over and leaning on her knees, she panted hard, trying to catch her breath.

She would rather take a bath in ice water than do another run like that.

"We’ll work on your dexterity, with your telekinesis you can use it to give yourself more power with your moves, you can throw a harder punch, push yourself off the ground without touching it, use it too even scale a wall. Telekinesis is a very useful and multifunctional ability." Ash directs her to the center of their training ring.

"You can’t do any of that yet, but you can practice channeling it with each motion. First we’ll start with back handsprings. Each ti your hand reaches for the ground I want you to attempt to use it, create the habit, beco accustod to the level of focus, have your muscles learn to rember the change in proprioception." He continued.

"You have to be faster, stronger, more dedicated than you were before. Everything has changed now that your abilities have co in. Everything will different." He said to her.

Ash had a whole new training planned catered to her change in abilities.

"I understand father. I won’t let you done." Odette focused her brows and readied herself.

"Alright go." She started with a run charging at her father and just in front of him he reached for her, and she threw her head back and her body followed. With one hand she reached for the ground, holding focus, she could feel the air charge around her and she could feel a force of energy building inside her, she thought about where to put the energy, and she sent it through her arm and into her hand. Her power didn’t push her off the ground, but she felt the ground respond to her push. She felt her hand tingle each ti she threw herself backwards and her palm would hit the ground.

It would only take a few weeks of practice before she was able to use her ability to give her more thrust from the ground.

Kalvin had started to train with her; he was seemingly dedicated to her.

His love growing for her. But so was his need for control.

He dressed it up as care and concern, but really, he just liked having the Princess of Vampires follow his wishes.

He controlled what she ate and drink. He would order for her at restaurants, place her to-go orders. He started to manage all of her ti.

He had her completely convinced. She’d let go of what she saw that night, and she gave her all to him, feelings did blossom, but not the kind that were spoken of in love stories. But the kind built on trust and comfort. He had her back every ti she needed it. And after everything she went through, that was what she needed. He was safety, he was ho, he was reliable. She loved him, with all her heart. And despite his flaws and ulterior motives, Kalvin loved her too. And his love grew stronger as well as his possessiveness.

However, the spark. It didn’t exist. Their relationship was built on the past, on guilt and on friendship.

The years seed to blur together between her training and school and her Best friend and boyfriend 2 years went by fast.

Her powers had grown; she could manipulate air and was working on fire. Her skills honed and fine-tuned. She was precise and deadly. Even with holding back, she was still the top warrior in her school. She had switched from doing just day classes to also night classes. The school had started letting in vampires, so she slowly migrated to the classes that were more challenging.

Raven and her only furthered their divide and hatred blood and festered in both of their hearts. Raven could never beat Odette. No matter how hard she trained. And because of that she started to bully her more. Spread rumors, trashed her locker, stole her clothes from gym classes. Every trick in the book beca a regular occurrence for Odette.

But when training classes ca around, Odette would get her revenge, she would humiliate her every ti. It was a vicious cycle, one constantly humiliating the other.
