Violet looked around at the carnage that surrounded her. The thick sll of blood in the air forced vomit out of her. She was overwheld with grief, seeing all the devastation lying before her.
Burning hos and bodies. Dead won and children bleeding out all around her.
The sight burned itself into her mind. Her heart felt broken for all the innocent people that died tonight.
She wanted to be held, to be told everything would be okay. But no amount of comfort would ever make this okay. It would never erase the pain she saw in the faces of the victims all around her.
"This... This... This is monstrous!" She cried out loudly. The pain she felt was overwhelming, it was making her head spin, she could feel it all. The vampires that were injured, the fear was so pungent it was choking her. She was inconsolable in the mont. She couldn’t handle everything she was feeling, everything she was seeing. It was all too much for her. She finally fainted; she couldn’t handle any more of the grueso sight that laid before her.
"We should bring her back now, she’s been through a lot, round up everyone, leave everything as it is and let the survivors pick up the rest, they have until tomorrow before we co and level this disgusting dog pit."
"I’ll stay behind and help collect our dead and gather up the remainders of our army." Gabriel states.
"Jeremy, Oliver, you’re with . Let’s go." Ash orders.
"I’ll call a healer and send them to the house and make the arrangents to have our wounded treated and our dead buried." Vlad insists.
Ash nodded before taking off full speed for their cars.
It only took about fifteen minutes to arrive back at the manner. Ash takes her upstairs to her room with Oliver who helps draw her a warm bath to wash her off. Jeremy heads to his room to gather his dicines to help Violet as they wait for a doctor.
Ash carefully undresses her, taking note of every bruise on her body. Anger ignited inside of him once more. He felt the need to go back and kill a few more dogs for what they did to his precious Violet.
"I can feel your seething anger. Its suffocating , probably her too." Oliver inford Ash with an annoyed tone.
"Shut up Oliver, look at her, she’s bruised on her ass. What do you think those rabid dogs did to our girl? How can you be so casual?" Ash Snapped. He was still in survival mode, his adrenaline still hasn’t settled. Even having Violet back wasn’t helping to soothe his anger. He was still raging inside, ready to go back and finish off the packs, if Violet hadn’t insisted on leaving the remaining survivors, he’d have hunted them all down and killed them.
"You have serious anger issues; you know that right?" Oliver jokingly asked Ash.
Ash narrowed his eyes shooting Oliver a sharp warning glare.
"I just can’t stand the idea of her being hurt, what’s wrong with that huh?" Ash barked.
"Nothing, it’s the fact you’re still angry even after ripping apart the entire pack, and then so." Oliver claims.
"I can’t just get over it, we still don’t know how the bastards got in, and that doesn’t sit right with . Just why did they take her? And not even prepare for a fight, did they think we wouldn’t know?" Ash says.
"Hey man, I get it. She was snatched right from under our noses. I don’t like that either, but we will figure it out. Jeremy and Gabriel are the masters of the mind." Oliver patted Ash’s back. Ash looked at Oliver raising an eyebrow, surprised by Olivers attempt at reassuring him.
"What are you doing?" Ash asked skeptically.
"Being a big brother, of course." Oliver teased.
"Well quit it, it’s freaking out." Ash shoved his brother, who tumbled over and laughed.
Violet had opened her eyes and watched as her two lovers and friends played around as brothers.
She giggled, alerting to the two brothers that she was conscious again.
"You’re awake!" Ash said loudly please throwing his arms around her.
"Ash, stop, yes, I’m awake." Violet hugged Ash back and laughed.
"It feels good to hear your laugh." Oliver said patting her head smiling down at her.
"It feels good to hear your voices. My bathroom has never looked better." Violet said releasing Ash.
"Are you hungry?" Oliver asked her.
She nodded yes.
"I’ll go get so cookies and milk. Be right back." Oliver said.
"I don’t want to leave, you but I need to go and check on Jeremy and his dicine and make a call to Gabe and my father." Ash said standing up, "I’ll be right back."
Violet almost grabbed Ash’s sleeve, not wanting to be left alone, but she hesitated. She kinda felt she needed a mont to herself.
To process everything. Everything that had happened was just flashes in her mind right now. Everything was so confusing. Her head was spinning.
She slid under the water, closing her eyes, and holding her breath.
Rembering her fears, her pain, rembering the faces of all the dead people.
Flashes of images of scorned faces, and burnt bodies reeled in her mind. Their screams and cries replayed in her ears over and over again. She cried silently into the bathtub. The weight of the events bearing down her, heavy on her shoulders. The children that laid dead on the ground, the sll of blood still clung to her nose. It was overwhelming, the mories, the pain. She could feel all of it, as if it was still happening. The feeling of their touch on her skin, made her want to peel her skin off. She was disgusted by herself.
Luna. The words rang in her ears. She was almost forced to marry a shifter against her will. It wasn’t enough for Riley to have tornted her, but also now shifters. Violet felt her life would always be haunted by those who hurt her. She couldn’t calm her nerves or soothe herself. Everything had happened so fast.
Ash seeing her completely under the bath water, panicked, thinking sothing happened.
"Violet!" He shouted rushing over to pull her out of the tub.
"Ah! What are you doing, get off ! No! Let Go!" Violet scread as she pushed and clawed and scratched at Ash not recognizing him. She was lost in the ongoing assault on her mind as the mories ca flooding into her.
All the death and carnage. The pain and blood. The glass and screams. Image after image berated her mind.
"Violet, Violet! It’s , Stop!" Ash yelled trying to restrain her.
Jeremy and Oliver ca rushing in hearing Ash struggle and Violet’s pleas.
"No. No. No!" Violet scread. She thrashed in Ash’s arms violently, before suddenly stiffening.
"STOP" Violet shouted in her mind.
The room stilled. Seemingly frozen in ti.
A burst of energy ripped from her and her eyes glowed magenta.
The burst knocked over the three brothers sending them flying backwards.
Violet collapsed back into the tub. Rough waves crashed over her and the side of the tub, the water swallowing her.
