However, at this mont, Canillas wanted to pull the woman to her track as his wife, bringing her status as a married woman to her mind.

He did not want her to get lost in a dream that would never co true, as his perspective on soone’s past remained the sa.

"I am your husband, Joanna. I have the right to touch you!" remarked Canillas in a low-pitched yet stern voice, a firr tone compared to the tone used by his wife when reprimanding him before.

"That’s why I have requested to nullify our marriage because I can’t be the wife that you wanted, Sir Canillas," replied Joanna in a low voice, her expression serious. "You have seen with your own eyes that I am not only a liar, but I am also an insane and rude woman. I kicked you, hit you, pointed a dagger at you, and was unwilling to be touched by you. Do you think you deserve to have a scary and dangerous woman like as your wife?" Joanna shook her head and added,

"Please don’t waste your precious ti and life to maintain our worthless marriage. You deserve soone far better than , as you will get nothing but annoyance and nuisance from ."

Upon hearing her words, Canillas lifted one corner of his lips. The sa topic again, marriage annulnt. Every ti he t her, she would welco him with the sa topic again and again.

Even after he reminded her so many tis that he would never agree to that absurd request, she kept on asking that from him.

But what should he expect from a woman who had tried to hide from him and asked him to return ho without her as his wife?

It made him aware that he could not tolerate this stubborn woman anymore. He should do sothing to make her stop dreaming about sothing that would never happen.

Removing his arms that were wrapped around her delicate back, he undid his embrace on her. He took a step backward and rubbed his face while closing his eyes, as if trying to suppress his burning emotions.

Not long later, when he opened his eyes, he stared sharply at the srizing yet cold hazel eyes before him.

"Listen to , Joanna. Don’t you ever dare call our marriage worthless since you are the one who made it worthless," Canillas remarked firmly. "If you give value to our marriage by removing that silly, absurd idea of annulnt from your head, as I have told you so many tis, do you think it will be a worthless marriage?" Canillas said, emphasizing every word that ca out of his lips despite the cautious volu.

He was not afraid of facing that tribal group, even though he was alone. He just did not want to act recklessly, which would put the cold-hearted woman, who resented him, in danger when he failed to protect her as he had to face them by himself.

Therefore, he did not want to invite them back to where he and the cold-hearted wife of his were arguing at the mont with his loud voice.

What a right place to have an argunt with this hard-headed woman! Canillas sohow found their occasions hilarious. Everything related to her never failed to amuse him.

"I have told you that I will never agree to annul, divorce, or whatever term you will use to end our marriage. Whether you like it or not, your behavior against and our marriage has made more certain and determined to make you my wife for the rest of your life," he stated, capturing her slightly flinching. He ignored it, continuing to speak instead.

"The more you persist in having our marriage ended and getting rid of , the more I am persistent in maintaining our marriage and staying by your side for the rest of my life. Even if you show your tantrum or your insane ideas to make give up on you, I will show you how crazier I am to make you give up on those ideas." Canillas lifted one corner of his lips at the end. A flicker of fla filled the eyes that were directed at hers. He continued his remark,

"Wasting my precious ti and life to maintain this marriage?" Canillas let out a low chuckle before saying, "Please don’t worry about that, my dear wife. As I have said to you before, as long as the marriage I have is with you, a liar, insane, rude, or stubborn woman like how you labeled yourself, I don’t think that I waste my precious ti and life. How can I let go of such free entertainnt in life?" A smirk reappeared on his lips. He added,

"And I hope that feeling is the sa as yours. Don’t ever think that you waste your precious ti and life as my wife. Because if you feel that, you will just torture yourself, Joanna." Canillas paused, letting a smirk rest on his lips before removing it.

"Because..." A sigh suddenly escaped his lips as he cut off his words. "I don’t know how many tis I should repeat the words I have said to you before," Canillas murmured under his breath, looking up at the tangled branches above them, as if feeling tired already before saying what he wanted to say to his stubborn wife.

After taking about five seconds to calm his emotions, he looked back at her and said, "But I will make sure that this is the last ti I say this to you, and you can’t bla for what I will do if you make repeat this ever again, Joanna." Canillas warned with a serious expression, like a teacher admonishing his student.

"So, please listen to and rember this, as I will not repeat it again. I have told you before, and it still remains the sa until now and will never change forever, that you will be Joanna von Rodega for the rest of your life. So stop bringing up that stupid topic of marriage annulnt again, because it will be useless. And..." Canillas took a pause again, lingering his gaze on his wife’s face despite the disdainful look that she obviously showed at him.

"I am wondering if my dear wife will still be stubborn to flourish her idea about marriage annulnt after she and her husband complete the bond of their marriage." He raised one of his brows, and a wicked grin blood on his face when he saw the disdainful look turn into an alard one.

Leaning closer to et the alard look on her face, he said, "And I am very curious if you will change your mind once we consummate our marriage." He wondered how long she would be disrespectful to him, showing him rudeness despite all he had done for her.

He lowered his voice into a whisper. "So, prepare yourself for that, my dear wife." With that having been said, Canillas straightened his back. His expression was filled with mirth.
