Chapter 213: Suspicion

And so, she played with her child in the courtyard everyday.

“Yes, I’m glad you are.” Qiao Tian Chang was slightly relieved and he forced a smile, “I’ll ask Qing Shuang to co in and do a check on you.”
“I’m really fine, you don’t have to be so worried.” Ning ng Yao promptly reached for Qiao Tian Chang. She didn’t want him to be so worried.
Qiao Tian Chang looked deeply at Ning ng Yao with his lips pressed tightly together without a word. Even though he was quiet, Ning ng Yao could see from his eyes that he was blaming himself.
“I’ll just let Qing Shuang take a look, alright?” Ning ng Yao didn’t have any way with the expression on Qiao Tian Chang’s face, and she could only nod her head helplessly.
Qiao Tian Chang finally revealed a smile on his face, and went out to call Qing Shuang in.
Very soon, Qing Shuang entered the room to take her pulse, “Young Master, don’t worry. Missy is doing fine. She’ll just need to recuperate.”
“I understand.” Qiao Tian Chang nodded his head to show his understanding.
After Qing Shuang left the place, Qiao Tian Chang looked at Ning ng Yao, “The residence of the top general is ready, let’s move there.” Even though this was a good place and Xiao Qi Tian was his good brother, but it was ultimately not his own place and it wasn’t very comfortable staying here.

“Even though nobody would say anything at us staying in Qi Tian’s Residence, but I still prefer my own place if we’re going to be in the capital for a while.” Qiao Tian Chang said softly.
Ning ng Yao thought for a while and nodded her head.
After staying in the Qi’s Residence for a few days, Qiao Tian Chang and Ning ng Yao brought Qing Shuang to the Residence of the top general.
There were only a few guards and servants in the residence, and there wasn’t anybody else.
Qiao Tian Chang was delighted, and he turned his head to Ning ng Yao, “After you’ve recuperated, I’ll ask soone to buy a few more maidservants.”
Ning ng Yao shook her head and rejected, “No need, Qing Shuang will call a few for .” It was easier to have servants whom she knew. She didn’t like the thought of teaching the servants who were newly bought.
“Alright, I’ll leave it up to you.” Qiao Tian Chang nodded.
Qiao Tian Chang brought Ning ng Yao to her room to rest, he then went to the kitchen to prepare tonics for her. He heard that a woman, who had gone through a miscarriage, must be taken care of as if she was in a confinent. If he was not careful, she would fall ill easily.
When Qiao Tian Chang carried the tonics in, Ning ng Yao was hungry. She ate so afterwards but her face turned stiff, “Why is this tasteless?” There wasn’t any taste other than the taste of a pinch of salt.
“Qing Shuang said you need to recuperate well, so you can’t eat anything oily. I’ll make so good food for you after so ti.”
