Chapter 134: Jackpot

Zach had inford his family that he would co ho that day and would bring a guest.

He chuckled recalling how his Grandma Terry was not letting him end the call before he told her if the guest he was going to bring was a male or female.

His grandma even scread on him on the phone when he told her that she had already t their guest and it was Keira Chan.

"I bet my family can’t wait to et you. There must be a feast waiting for us," murmured Zach.

"I’m actually nervous. I hope they will all like ," answered Keira before she opened her window to let the fresh air in.

They were already in the province and Keira loved the untouched nature she was seeing.

It’s more like a return to mother nature vibe - Keira relished the green hue and the glimpses of breathtaking views that she saw along the way.

"Oh, we’re here," Zach murmured as he beeped and the big gates opened.

Keira felt more nervous, she suddenly mumbled, "How do I look?"

"You look great," Zach answered simply and Keira twitched her mouth.

"Be more specific at least, like how beautiful my eyes are, how pointed my nose is, how kissable my lips are, how gorgeous is my hair... sothing like that," Keira blabbered to relieve her nervousness.

Zach laughed, he held Keira’s hand and squeezed it.

"Relax and be yourself. I told you, they will like you. You are perfect," said Zach with a wink.

Keira pouted her lips and said, "When did you beco so good in calming a woman and started talking like that?"

"Hmm, it has only started when we beco official. I’m not usually vocal," answered Zach nonchalantly.

"Oh my gosh," Keira gasped when she saw that Zach’s family were all outside, waiting for them.

Zach laughed and said, "See how excited they are?"

"Oh, Keira, my dear. We t each other again. You look more beautiful." Grandma Terry enthusiastically greeted Keira as she hugged her tightly.

Keira hugged her back and greeted everyone who was introduced by Zach.

"You two must be tired after the long ride. You should eat first and rest after. The food is ready," said Zach’s mom.

Keira gave her sweetest and widest smile.

Zach instructed the helper and Josh to get all the presents from the car while he held Keira’s hand and lead her inside the house.

Zach’s family mbers who were behind them couldn’t help exchanging aningful gazes.

"Where did Big Bro et her? Should I go to the Military Academy to et soone like her? Or maybe I should work in the City too?" mumbled Josh with his mouth drooling, his eyes never left Keira’s back.

Rizie, on the other hand, looked at Keira from head to toe as if she was evaluating her. Keira was wearing a cute A-line silhouette short-sleeved dress above the knee. She looked adorable in that sumr dress.

"She looks to have a sweet personality and a bit temperantal to ," whispered Rizie.

"You two, stop, she may hear you," scolded her mom who smiled.

In the dining area, Grandma Terry was talking non-stop as she recalled how Keira had visited them before, even though it was years ago.

"I told you, dear, she will definitely slay our grandson’s heart." Grandma Terry comnted and Grandpa Shen laughed.

"Well, I’m sure your mom is very pleased now, seeing that you brought soone for us to et," comnted Grandpa Shen and Keira blushed as she timidly smiled at Zach’s mother.

"We don’t know how you two t by the way?" Sheila asked out of curiosity.

"Oh, right I forgot to ntion, Keira is Field Marshal Chan’s daughter," stated Grandma Terry.

That instant, Sheila’s face paled.

"You an the Field Marshal?" Sheila repeated.

"Oh, that’s nice... Big Bro, you hit the jackpot!" burst out Josh in jest and Grandma Terry hit his head.

"Ouch!" yelled Josh while Grandpa Shen smiled at Keira and said, "Oh, I apologize, this brat is always like that. He talks nonsense a lot."

Keira chuckled and said, "It’s okay, grandpa, I really don’t mind. I like it that young brother is talking openly."

"Well, you’ve hit a jackpot too with our big bro you know... He’s the best.." interrupted Rizie and this ti it was Sheila who stopped her by elbowing her.

Sheila changed the topic and comnted, "I’m honestly taken aback because I never thought, uhm, you know, your family has quite a big na..."

This ti Grandma Terry coughed because she knew her daughter well and she felt that she had to stop this conversation already.

"Okay, let’s all stop talking and enjoy the al. Oh, goodness, we elders are already starving. Here, Keira, doll, try this, it’s Sheila’s special," said Grandma Terry as she put so food on Keira’s plate.

"Doll?" Rizie mumbled.

"Yeah, it fits her well I think, ’cause sis-in-law looks like a doll," answered Josh.

"Sis-in-law?" Rizie added.

"I said you two stop, we have a guest!" Sheila scolded and the twins pursed their lips as they began to eat.

Keira looked at Zach who smiled at her lovingly and said, "Enjoy the al."

She smiled back at Zach, who added more side dishes to her plate.

Keira did enjoy the bantering of the twins. How nice would it have been if she had a brother or sister? But she was used to this kind of bantering with her friends.

Then she looked at Zach’s mother.

At first, Keira felt that Zach’s mother was heartily welcoming, but for so reason, she noticed that her mood changed when it ca to her knowledge that she was the Field Marshal’s daughter and ca from one of the wealthiest families.

Zach’s mom caught Keira gaze, so Keira smiled and slightly bowed. Sheila, on the other hand, also gave her a smile, followed by a silent sigh.

Then she looked at her son, her precious son. She couldn’t help but get worried because, as much as possible, she wanted Zach to get an ordinary partner and not soone who belonged to high society, way out of their league.

Others might think of it as hitting a jackpot, but for her, it was like mixing water and oil, the two couldn’t get mixed with each other.
