Although he didn’t want to go to the Eternal Night Domain right now, that didn’t an he didn’t want to visit that place in the future. Once his cultivation grew to a sufficient level, he would anyways have to head to the Eternal Night Domain to find a way to return to the Grand Culmination Starry Skies.
