Chapter 0300: Leaving
What made Ning Cheng a bit surprised that once he won the first place for the academy, not a single elder ca up to see, rather the first one to co up to see him unexpectedly was Xian Caixue.
Regarding Xian Caixue’s na, he had already heard about it from Elder Bei, that the reason he was able to participate in this competition, was because Xian Caixue agreed to let him take her spot.
“Senior Apprentice Brother Ning, this is sothing that Elder Bei entrusted to bring to you, and is sothing of a reward from the Headmaster.” Xian Caixue handed a jade box to Ning Cheng and spoke.
“Then I would have to co and thank the Headmaster and Elder Bei.” Ning Cheng also put away the jade box and spoke.
Xian Caixue quickly stopped Ning Cheng and spoke, “No, I heard the Headmaster say that they were discussing sothing that is extrely important, as such they do not have the free ti to et you currently.”
Ning Cheng, whether for the good or bad, had been involved with the world of cultivation for a few years already; moreover, he himself was an intelligent character. As such, when he heard Xian Caixue’s words, he imdiately understood that sothing was wrong. This particular ti can be regarded as sothing critical for the Profound Core Division; moreover, they have also just taken the first spot, as such, whatever kind of important matter it was, the academy would at least not go into discussion over it at this ti.
Thinking until here, Ning Cheng imdiately opened the jade box to look at what was inside it. When Ning Cheng saw that there was an advanced level Escape Talisman inside the jade box, he imdiately understood what was going on.
Headmaster Rui Baishan had sent an Escape Talisman to him not just as a reward but also as a reminder. That he had to escape this place quickly, and need not dally around here for even a mont more.
Ning Cheng then quickly put away the jade box, before he spoke to Xian Caixue, “Many thanks Junior Apprentice Sister Xian, the reason I was able to win the first place is because of you giving your spot, as such please accept this pill from . If there is a reward for the first place, then I will have to trouble Senior Apprentice Sister Xian to help get it. If there is none, then just forget it, I will be taking my leave now because of an urgent matter.”
Ning Cheng then imdiately took out the top quality Soul Condensing Pill that he had received from Xu Yingdei and gave it to Xian Caixue, before he rushed out to leave this place, he was not even in the mood to go up and et Liang Kexin who was standing not far away from him on the side.
Xian Caixue was a bit puzzled as she opened the jade bottle in her hands. But when she saw that, the jade bottle contained a Soul Condensing Pill; her hands couldn’t help but tremble violently. This pill was sothing very precious, and she was aware that she had rely given up her spot. Yet Ning Cheng actually rewarded her with such a precious pill?
......
Ning Cheng quickly found a deserted place after coming out, and imdiately disappeared from there. Half an incense stick later, under disguise, he turned a corner. A few monts later, a small grey shadow rushed out from that corner and quickly shot into another street.
A small pet beast had suddenly left its master; such a scene was not strange on the streets. Things like these happened almost every day. So of them were taken away, while so were able to escape.
However, this little grey thing had a very fast speed, and in just a short ti left the huge public square.
This little animal was just a Class 3 pet spirit beast, a lot of cultivators with a high cultivation level had already noticed it, but no one was bored enough to catch such a low level spirit beast, let alone try to sell it. Of course, the other reason was that this pet beast simply ran too fast, if it were a bit slower, allowing a person to get a good look at it, then perhaps soone would have really decided to chase it down.
......
Ning Cheng had just left, when Severing Emotions Dao Sect’s Xu Yingdei ca over.
“Senior Apprentice Brother Ning has already left to take care of so urgent things; if you want then you can wait for Senior Apprentice Brother Ning to co back, or is it that you want to give him a ssage?” Xian Caixue heard that she was here looking for Ning Cheng, as such quickly ca up to greet her. Ning Cheng had just gave her a Soul Condensing Pill, this kind of grace, was definitely not a small one. At this ti, how could she even be half a point depressed? As she was truly glad in her heart that she stood out before Liang Shi, to give her spot to Ning Cheng.
“Ning Cheng left?” Another voice arrived; the speaker was not Xu Yingdei, but rather Yin Kongchan who had just arrived after Xu Yingdei.
Yin Kongchan and Xu Yingdei shot a glance at each other, before both of them left the Rainbow Fall Sword Sect’s station together, leaving behind a puzzled Xian Caixue.
If Senior Apprentice Sister Luo Ziyan was said to be Rainbow Fall Sword Sect’s number one beauty, then both Yin Kongchan’s and Xu Yingdei’s looks were definitely sothing that trumped over Senior Apprentice Sister Ziyan. However, these two stunning looking won, actually ca side by side to look for Senior Apprentice Brother Ning Cheng who was just a Profound Core Cultivator?
However, Xian Caixue thought that since her Senior Apprentice Brother Ning Cheng was soone capable of forcing a change in the rules of the Tian Continent’s Great et of the Academies, while at the sa ti able to win the first place, while was also soone who did not back down against a Crucible Transformation Elder from the Red Star Sword Faction, it truly was not too strange for such a thing to happen.
......
At this ti, the small grey pet beast had already run out of the Heavenly Dao Public Square, as it finally stopped in a place where there was no one around.
The next mont, Ning Cheng’s figure erged. This grey spirit beast was none other than his Grey Toottoot; Ning Cheng knew that since the Headmaster had told him to escape, it in itself was indicative enough that the problem was getting more and more serious. He did not dare to escape from the Heavenly Dao Public Square in his usual form, as such could only use Grey Toottoot to help him out. Because of which, he had entered his miniature world ring before allowing Grey Toottoot to carry it in order to escape. If Grey Toottoot ended up being caught, only then would he burn all his bridges to make his escape.
Fortunately, Grey Toottoot’s level was too low, as such even though people were able to notice Grey Toottoot; no one really put him in their eyes.
Once Ning Cheng ca out, he first imdiately put away Grey Toottoot, while simultaneously brought out his Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds before disappearing into the distance. He did not imdiately use Yin Kongchan’s Talisman, as he did not trust this woman enough.
But Ning Cheng was soon able to perceive that there was sothing wrong, as he felt a spiritual consciousness lock onto to him from afar. Moreover, this spiritual consciousness was getting more and more clear, which ant that this person was getting closer and closer to him.
Ning Cheng was greatly shocked in his heart, as he wielded his Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds to its utmost limit, causing its speed to turn incomparably fast, yet this person was still able to close the distance between them bit by bit, from this it could be seen that this person’s cultivation was at least in the Sea Opening Realm, or might even turn out to be a Crucible Transformation Cultivator.
If the other party was a Crucible Transformation Cultivator, then even if used a Rank 7 Talisman, he would not be able to completely escape from the other parties range, rather it could be said that it was too late for him to use it. Just as the thought of using the Talisman ca to him, Ning Cheng imdiately gave it up, although the Headmaster had given him a Talisman; however Ning Cheng had not carefully looked at it if the Talisman contained any problems. Even if he had checked it out thoroughly, he would not be able to stimulate it in a short while.
As the spiritual consciousness that had locked onto him from behind beca more and more clear, Ning Cheng was sure that as long as he dared to delay for just a few monts, the opposite party would be able to catch him. Moreover, he was also aware that stimulating an Advanced Level Talisman that he had not refined, would definitely take a few monts, which he did not have currently.
Ning Cheng, at this mont, could only do one thing, which was to crazily stimulate his Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds, he was aware that he did not have the ti to even stimulate his True Brahma Buddha Fire Wheel.
With the Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds being crazily stimulated by Ning Cheng, the spiritual consciousness that was getting more and more clear behind him finally was not able to continue closing the distance between them, but at the sa ti Ning Cheng was also not able to pull away from it.
“Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds? Good boy, the secrets stashed on his body are not small at all. No wonder you were able to obtain the Nine-Coloured Mirage Stone, that is because you have this kind of treasure on you.” A man wearing a mask sneered as he spoke to himself.
The man’s body at this mont had completely turned into a vague shadow, as he tightly followed behind Ning Cheng. He did not use a flight type magical weapon, as he was very much clear that in front of Ning Cheng’s Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds, an ordinary flight type magical weapon simply would not be able to catch up. Moreover, the Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds were extrely flexible, allowing the user to change their directions at any ti and place, before the user disappeared without a trace.
At this mont, he was completely relying on his strong true essence and spiritual consciousness as he tightly followed Ning Cheng. Although the Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds were formidable, however it would not last forever. Using the Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds already required one to possess a powerful true essence and spiritual consciousness, once the true essence and spiritual consciousness was not able to sustain it any longer, it would imdiately slow down to a considerable extent.
As such, this man was not afraid of Ning Cheng being able to escape from his hands, he was confident that his own true essence and spiritual consciousness was far stronger than Ning Cheng’s was.
But after tailing him for two hours, he finally felt that sothing was wrong. Even if Ning Cheng’s true essence reserves was deeper than the others were how could it be so formidable? Just how much true essence did his body contain? He definitely would not last longer than an hour before his speed cos down he consoled himself.
However, Ning Cheng’s speed simply did not co down at all; rather the Twin Wings of the Heavenly Clouds were still being wielded in crazy manner. At this ti, Ning Cheng was truly grateful towards Mu Ziming. If not for Mu Ziming giving him a bottle of the Essence Birthing Bamboo Pith, he would have long since been caught by that person. He was also glad that his powerful spiritual consciousness was tempered in the Chaotic Star Space, as it was primarily because of his powerful spiritual consciousness that he was able to support himself until now.
The heaven defying nature of the Essence Birthing Bamboo Pith was finally revealed in this situation. No matter how much true essence was consud by Ning Cheng, all he had to drink was a minuscule sip of it, which would then completely replenish his depleted true essence.
Another hour later, Ning Cheng finally put away the bottle of the Essence Birthing Bamboo Pith, of which he had already consud a third. He knew that at this point he was relatively safe because the spiritual consciousness was growing blurred before it eventually disappeared.
After that spiritual consciousness completely disappeared, Ning Cheng brought out an airship before flying for another half a day. Only coming to a stop at a desolate looking soil bank. In any case, he had to escape far away from this dangerous whirlpool of ss.
Resting up on the small desolate soil bank for an incense stick worth of ti, Ning Cheng formulated a sowhat simple plan for his future path. He had to go search for the Geocentric 9 Yin Essence in any case, however whether or not he found it, he must leave this dangerous place called Tian Continent for now. At least, before he had the strength to protect himself, he would not co back here easily.
Unfortunately, he had no other way to return to the Nine Continent, except for using that Escape Talisman that would take him back to the bottom of the Blood River. Even the remaining Power of Hope would not be enough, which ant that he also would not be able to use the True Brahma Buddha Fire Wheel to go back. The reason he was able to arrive at the Tian Continent was purely luck, otherwise in that Chaotic Star Space, without any direction, who could say where the Buddha Fire Wheel would have taken him?
Ning Cheng finally took out the talisman given to him by Yin Kongchan and carefully scrutinized it, and did not discover any issues with it. On this talisman, there was only his, Yin Kongchan and Xu Yingdei’s spiritual consciousness tag.
However, he did not know if he could use this talisman to reach its intended place, especially since he had already escaped this far.
Whether he could or could not, Ning Cheng did not care. If it was the later, then it only ant that the Geocentric 9 Yin Essence was not written in his fate.
Ning Cheng stimulated the escaping talisman in his hands, causing the escape talisman to conjure an arrayed aperture. This arrayed aperture, in the next mont, wrapped around Ning Cheng, before it teleported him away.
How was this an Imprinted Escaping Talisman, this was simply a Minor Teleportation Talisman aah. Ning Cheng suddenly felt his heart clench, if Yin Kongchan plotted against him, while using this teleportation talisman to send him to a designated location, then didn’t it an that he was just like poultry sending itself to be slaughtered.
A burst of dizziness hit Ning Cheng as he went through the spacial teleport, but after a short period of ti, Ning Cheng finally once again felt his feet touch the ground. When he say the wilderness around him, only then did his nervous heart finally cald down a little. Fortunately, Yin Kongchan had not plotted against him, at least for the mont.
Finding that there was not even a silhouette of a person within the range of a hundred miles of him, Ning Cheng’s first reaction was that Yin Kongchan and Xu Yingdei had not arrived yet. After all, both were going to participate in the Soul Essence Competition between the academies.
But soon Ning Cheng felt sothing different, as he could feel that the escape talisman had transferred three marks into his hands during the process. These marks were none other than the three spiritual consciousness tags. In addition to his own spiritual consciousness tag, the spiritual consciousness tags of Yin Kongchan and Xu Yingdei were still fluctuating.
Ning Cheng was also a Talisman Refining Master, although he had never refined an escape talisman with a spiritual consciousness tag, but he was aware that this kind of fluctuations represented that him and the two people were not very far apart from each other.
