"Roar roar~"

Sothing Unto Death roared happily, indicating that it understood Pei Guang.

At the sa ti, it also signaled that it was leaving: there was work to do, and it was very busy these days.

It had to send more people to the real Penacony; ti waited for no one.

As for Pei Guang? A person who gave it such a good gift was, by rounding up, basically a good guy, a companion.

Besides, even if he had not given any compensation, there was nothing it could really do to him anyway.

People said there was no death in dreams, only slumber. But why was it so sure that Pei Guang could genuinely kill things?

Its full na was Sothing Unto Death. Although it was a related to death, it was fundantally different from Pei Guang, because in its view, Pei Guang was the one who truly killed things!

Pei Guang said, "Don't rush off. You're sending people down there anyway, and I have soone who wants to go. I need your help. Co on, we're on the sa side now. You took my gift, so you're my ally."

All of Sothing Unto Death's eyes glanced at Pei Guang's shield and four-leaf clover, then, after a brief silence, looked at the transformation rod in its own claws.ùIts big head nodded vigorously.

Refuse? It did not dare bet on what would happen if it refused to give this man face. This guy really could chase it all the way down.

Penacony was only so big; what if he blocked its path one day? How was it supposed to keep living?

On the other hand, agreeing, the transformation rod would be its own, it would no longer be under this man's gaze, and it could even "play together" with him!

After weighing everything, it accepted Pei Guang's request.

Even Sothing Unto Death itself did not notice that, ever since eting Pei Guang, its thoughts had grown more and more complex.

The change was rapid yet subtle enough not to trigger anyone's suspicion, but for a mory Zone , this was an anomaly among anomalies.

For Pei Guang, though, being able to communicate with enemies was practically normal. And after learning how Harmony worked, his attitude toward the Path of Harmony had also beco rather peculiar.

He clearly did not walk Harmony, but if a Harmonious being could not embrace and treat friendly lives kindly, he would decide that such Harmony was not harmonious enough and always feel the urge to "fix" sothing.

Sothing Unto Death roared, "Roar~"

Pei Guang replied, "Oh? You agree? But you want to finish the current job in your hands before coming with us? No problem. Your target for this job is here, right? We'll wait with you.

Don't worry, I just dealt with the surveillance birds using this thing, so no one will be watching us. Our counter-surveillance ability is very strong, and you can stay hidden, then everything's fine, isn't it?"

Sothing Unto Death answered, "Roar~"

From the mont Sothing Unto Death was dragged out, to the apology, the gift, and then becoming buddies, Firefly was completely dumbfounded this ti.

"This sequence… feels kind of off…"

She felt it was strange.

They had been enemies the last ti they t, yet this ti just giving the other side a gift was enough to buy it over?

Was dealing with people in this world really that simple?

Seeing Firefly's confusion, March 7th gently patted her shoulder.

"Don't be confused. This is Ah Guang's special charm. He always manages to bring out sothing others can't resist, and since being his enemy is never a good choice, a lot of people who start out as enemies, but not mortal enemies, end up getting along peacefully, even becoming friendly."

Along the way, March 7th had summarized Pei Guang's behavior. This whole "building favorability" thing sounded vague, but if you thought about it carefully, there was logic behind it.

For example, when it ca to apologizing, Pei Guang was always sincere.

As long as he was sure the other party was not a true, irreconcilable enemy, he was genuinely willing to swallow his pride, apologize, and then offer a gift the other party could not refuse.

As for true mortal enemies? Either they ended up so dead there was nothing left to say, or they lived lives worse than death.

For foes he had firmly marked as enemies, March 7th had yet to see a single one still jumping around freely.

Just look at Phantylia's body: part of it had been dismantled and turned into tools, and her head was still hanging up in Xianzhou.

Looking again at the massive True Stings blocking the way and that Breeding Order Emanator… Pei Guang had dismantled the corpses bit by bit, either giving them away or using them himself.

Then looking again at the recent grand Duke Inferno: he really did move against Asta one mont, then piloted the Star Destroyer to turn his ho into a mine the next.

Pei Guang's actions each ti were anything but simple.

By the second and third cycles, even the Aeon of Destruction would probably have been kicked down by him.

As for the second and third cycles~ she thought that with a universe this vast, spending just a week on each planet would be enough to wander around for a lifeti.

Sothing Unto Death hid itself, while March 7th and Firefly started chatting idly. As for Pei Guang, with nothing better to do, he began casually rummaging around the room.

There were so many things scattered about; plenty looked unwanted. Pei Guang happily scavenged through them.

While scavenging, he found two letters and a Light Cone.

As for what the Light Cone was? He didn't look closely: there would be ti to sort it out later when the ti ca.

Pei Guang began reading the two newly obtained letters. These letters stirred a bit of confusion and thought within him.

The first was from Robin.

The contents were simple: she had discovered anomalies in Penacony and, after investigating, found that they ca from the upper echelons of the Family.

What amused Pei Guang, though, was that Robin actually gave Sunday a "good person" label?

Sure, Sunday had commissioned him to investigate the truth behind Robin's "death," but that didn't an Sunday was necessarily a good guy!

"Heh, if your brother turns out to be the final boss, let's see if you bawl your eyes out."

Pei Guang muttered as he read, glancing at the other letter.

But as he read that one, his interest spiked: because it ntioned that the Dreammaster was dissatisfied with Sunday's actions.

"Investigating your own sister's death, and you're unhappy about it? What the hell are you unhappy about? If you don't send a mission next, I'll just kill you."

Since there were no outsiders around, and since this guy was even hindering Sunday's investigation, that basically ant he was stopping Pei Guang from getting a task!

Might as well take him out.

Waiting was boring, but before long, Pei Guang sensed that Sothing Unto Death was starting to stir.

Pei Guang: "Your target's here?"

Sothing Unto Death: "Roar~"

Pei Guang: "Oh~ you were gonna go through the formalities with him first? But since I'm not, you're skipping it? Boohoo, you're so sweet."

Amid its playful growls, Sothing Unto Death felt that now that Pei Guang wasn't an enemy, this person actually seed pretty nice: generous, easy to talk to, even willing to praise it!

Since the other side was showing respect, it couldn't just stand there doing nothing, right?

Better send the target away—sooner or later didn't really make a difference anyway.

So, at the instant the room's door opened, Sothing Unto Death slipped into the other party's shadow.

And as the door opened, Pei Guang froze for a mont when he saw the familiar face.

"Sunday?"

Sunday had been monitoring Pei Guang all along, but when Pei Guang caused a ss in the room, the surveillance cut out, so Sunday ca in person to check.

After all, this was his mansion, his territory, so of course, he had reason to be there.

However, the instant he opened the door and saw Pei Guang, ready to speak, an ominous feeling suddenly gripped him.

Instinctively, he turned his head—and there he saw his sister's killer, Sothing Unto Death.

"Roar~ (Surprised? Didn't see this coming, did you~)"

Sunday stared in shock at Sothing Unto Death, then turned, equally stunned, to Pei Guang. He hadn't even gotten a word out, nor had Pei Guang had ti to intervene, before Sothing Unto Death plunged its blade straight into Sunday's chest.

First killed Robin, then killed Sunday.

The siblings could now reunite in the afterlife.

Perfect.

Sunday stared in disbelief at Pei Guang.

He had already investigated the truth behind Sothing Unto Death and was confident about his conclusions. Pei Guang's record was spotless: when Sothing Unto Death appeared, no one ever knew where Pei Guang was.

He had only let Pei Guang act to mislead the real killer and divert the Family's attention.

How had he ended up dead before the plan even began?

At that mont, question marks filled Sunday's mind—but sadly, he had no ti left to think, because Sothing Unto Death pushed its claws deeper.

In the blink of an eye, Sunday beca a pile of blue "Sunday sauce" splattered across the floor.

Looking at the pool of blue Sunday sauce, then at the cute-faced Sothing Unto Death, Pei Guang fell silent.

He truly hadn't expected its target to be Sunday, or that Sunday would show up now.

Great, he was just wondering if Sunday might be the "wolf," and now the guy had been sent to another world.

Well, that settled it. No need for Aventurine to verify things: Sunday himself had tested whether being slain by his new little brother ant permanent death.

Looking at Sunday's condition now, indeed not dead but transferred to a new map, Pei Guang felt a headache creeping in.

Would he be wanted again this ti?

Others co to Penacony to have sweet dreams, but I ca here to be a model five‑star citizen?!
