anwhile, as Pei Guang headed to the barracks to find so fun toys to pack up, Elysia received a transmission from the Herta Puppet. After reading the details of the mission, she imdiately contacted Kevin, ordering him to rally the soldiers who had completed training with the new weapons. Then, without hesitation, she rushed toward the barracks herself.
Capturing Antimatter Legion Voidrangers to use them as power generators—this was an absolutely outrageous plan, even by galactic standards. After all, whenever the Legion deployed Voidrangers, they moved as a collective force: the mont the Legion descended upon a planet, one of two things would happen: either the planet's civilization would be wiped out, or the Voidrangers would be annihilated.
Of course, the forr was far more common. A large-scale Voidranger deploynt usually ca alongside a Stellaron.
Stellaron Legion Doomsday Beast = together, that combination was enough to obliterate most ordinary civilizations.
Yet now, this very planet that the Legion had been toying with just recently was, under Pei Guang's leadership, planning to capture Legion Voidrangers and use them to generate electricity.
So, when Elysia heard that Pei Guang had returned and was about to cause another stir, she imdiately went looking for him at the barracks—where, unsurprisingly, she found him and his team helping themselves to weapons and gear.
No, actually, this ti, it wasn't even looting—it was an open, legitimate requisition. The barracks that the Herta Puppet had pointed him to was specifically prepared for Pei Guang, with everything set up for him to take freely. And to cater to Pei Guang's peculiar tastes, all the storage layouts in this barracks followed a distinctly video-ga-like format.
"Jeez~ You ca back and didn't even say hello? Making a lady co find you first… that's definitely lowering my affection score, you know~"
Standing before Pei Guang, who was in the middle of gearing up, Elysia had so many things she wanted to say—so many things she wanted to roast him for.
Pei Guang had opened his mouth once, told her to be his adjutant, and then completely dumped all the responsibilities on her. He had been off having fun, while she had been left to manage the big picture. If not for the help from Welt and the Herta Puppet, so many of their operations would have been impossible to pull off.
Sure, Elysia could handle things on her own. She was strong enough to brute-force solutions when needed.
But as Welt had once put it—the weight of that power is sothing no outsider could ever truly understand.
Still, Pei Guang's unique existence seed to carry a special kind of power—one that exerted an inexplicable pull on people. Ever since the day he arrived, the people of Earth had beco noticeably more united. Many even took it for granted that Earth belonged to Pei Guang.
As for having multiple rulers above them, the majority of ordinary folks didn't really care. Without any hired propaganda pushing narratives, most just casually joked about it. As long as they weren't enslaved, forced to do anything against their will, or subjected to annihilation crises, having an extra person in charge didn't matter.
In fact, if Pei Guang could get rid of overti work, raise salaries, and stop inflation, they'd gladly accept an "alien" ruling over them.
Elysia understood that this was the result of Pei Guang's own power—as well as the trust countless people had placed in him. NPCs' trust in a player wouldn't override their free will, but when the majority of NPCs across multiple maps held favorable opinions of a player, new NPCs in unexplored regions would naturally view that player in a positive light.
This kind of untainted goodwill from the Herta Space Station, Belobog, and the Xianzhou Luofu wasn't sothing most people could consciously notice.
But Elysia? Oh~ she could see it plain as day!
Still, what truly amazed her was that Pei Guang and his group had only been away from Earth for a few days, and yet, sohow, he had accumulated even more of that genuine affection from the people he encountered. Just what had he been up to this ti?
Well, whatever it was, in Elysia's eyes, it could only be a good thing. After all, having soone capable of rivaling a Lord Ravager—and possibly even becoming an Aeon in the future—standing behind Earth ant that humanity was bound to have a brighter tomorrow.
Hearing Elysia's cheerful voice, Pei Guang turned away from his work, where he had been inspecting a new set of equipnt.
"Oh? It's Ellie~ No problem. If an adjutant or whatever-your-position-is' affection score drops, all I need to do is click them a few tis, and it'll go right back up."
Elysia pouted. "What kind of mobile ga logic is that?! Besides, I'm not so 2D character—I'm standing right here! If you "click" , all I'll feel is the poke! It's not gonna raise my affection one bit!"
Hearing that, Stelle turned to Pei Guang with a smirk. "Ah Guang, did you hear that? She doesn't believe you. Let's poke her. And if her affection doesn't go up… let's tie her up and keep poking her until it does."
Elysia gasped. "That… That sounds like sothing a villain would say~ You guys are giving off seriously creepy vibes right now!"
Pei Guang rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I think Stelle has a point. If we tie you up and poke you until your affection rises, then logically, that should work."
Elysia imdiately turned to March 7th, looking for backup. "March, aren't you going to stop him?! That's an evil plan!"
March 7th simply shrugged and offered a comforting smile. "Eh, just say that poking lowers your affection score instead. You gotta learn to adapt and be flexible~"
Elysia: "Huh? That actually makes sense. Ahem! If you poke , my affection score is gonna drop~ A lot, really a lot!"
Hearing that, Pei Guang instantly straightened up and put on a serious face. "What?! Who's poking you? Na them! I'll beat them up right now!"
Stelle casually pointed at Pei Guang. "You. You were the one who said poking raises affection."
Pei Guang turned to her with a betrayed expression. "I thought we were on the sa team?! Why are you throwing under the bus?"
Stelle widened her eyes in mock innocence. "I was just emphasizing how professional you sound."
Watching this trio of absolute goofballs, Elysia couldn't help but giggle. "Pfft~ You guys are seriously funny. But back to business—I already got the ssage from Herta. You're planning to capture so Antimatter Legion Voidrangers to use as an energy source, right? I've already arranged the personnel for this operation. This ti—"
Before she could finish, Stelle noticed a slight hint of concern in Elysia's expression. She confidently crossed her arms and grinned. "Oh, you don't trust our Ah Guang, do you? Not to brag, but when it cos to dealing with those guys, we're super professional. I guarantee we'll bring back exactly as many people as we take!"
Pei Guang nodded in agreent. "That's right! If I weren't leading this mission, yeah, maybe casualties would be a concern—Voidrangers are strong in lore, after all. Just because I can go full musou mode doesn't an everyone else can. But with in charge? Totally different story."
March 7th chid in as well. "If it were just following Stelle, I'd be avoiding fights as much as possible. But fighting the Legion with Ah Guang? Pfft—free mobs!"
Pei Guang smirked. "Exactly! I pull aggro, and you guys just clean up. Man, I really did a good job with my 'stitched-together' playstyle."
It was only after clearing the tutorial area, newbie village, and the first real map that Pei Guang truly appreciated the magic of an all-in-one gaplay system. It wasn't just about variety—combat alone could shift between soulslike, musou-style, RTS, card battles, and even simulation managent. He just wondered… was there a Pokémon-style capture system? If so, that would be perfect.
Elysia recalled sothing. "You an using that fire? That fla was… absurdly powerful."
She had only seen Pei Guang really go all out once. Back then, his flas had roasted an entire wave of Voidrangers into edible food. In fact, per his orders, those Voidrangers had since been canned and preserved.
As for eating them? So idiots had tried. The result? Their bodies withered for months, and they still hadn't recovered.
Pei Guang shook his head. "Nah, I'm talking about a different kind of mode. This ti, we're focusing on control—our troops just need to focus on capturing. Think about it—if I'm leading a mission, I have to bring back as many people as I take out, right?"
Elysia smiled. "Oh? Then, Ah Guang, please teach us~ If we learn from you, we'll be even better at handling those nasty bad guys."
Hearing that, Pei Guang was absolutely delighted. As a first-playthrough kind of player, he loved helping others.
anwhile, March 7th had gone completely silent. Sure, playing around with Pei Guang was fun. But learning his combat thods? Just imagining future battles between Earth's forces and the Antimatter Legion Voidrangers… Instead of opening with high-tech weaponry or sending elite warriors, they'd start by chucking literal trash at the enemy.
The sheer beauty of it was… overwhelming.
That said, as bizarre as it was, March 7th had to admit that Pei Guang's abilities were incredibly effective. And if they did work on allies… suddenly, her eyes glead with cunning.
March 7th turned to Elysia. "We have to learn from Ah Guang. I'm telling you, his abilities are insanely unique. And hey, if he does beco an Aeon soday, we can ride his coattails and bag ourselves a spot as an Emanator or sothing."
Pei Guang squinted at her. "You're the real prophet here, huh? If I recall correctly, your predictions have been even more accurate than mine."
March 7th scratched her head, looking confused. "Huh? Have they? Hehehe~ No way, Ah Guang, you're the prophet here. I'm still waiting for our next adventures to confirm your predictions and help recover my mories."
Pei Guang smirked. "No problem. Our first order of business is capturing so Voidrangers for energy production. Honestly, though, I never expected Earth's technology to advance this fast. It feels like soone maxed out a tech tree instantly.
I really want to et those geniuses Herta No. 1 ntioned. I wonder if, after unlocking even more tech trees, those geniuses will be able to actually build so of this stuff."
He already had a clear developnt plan in mind. This ti, he was going to secure enough energy reserves to last.
The Lord Ravager thought he could trap Pei Guang in a ti-accelerated solar system?
Fine.
He'd play that ga too.
