The effect of the Blood Lord made it far too easy to absorb the vampire kin.

So simple.

"Is this really okay?"

Even Seong, who had been enjoying consistent gains while playing the ga, felt that sothing was off in this situation.

It was essentially a stroke of luck, close to a bug.

He was currently in first place, but...

[Contribution Ranking]

[1st Place: Seong - 10 Kin]

[2nd Place: "Evora Party" - 3 Kin]

…(continued)

All 10 of those kin had bowed their heads before Seong and disappeared.

There hadn't even been a fight.

They had simply jumped up in surprise upon seeing Seong and were absorbed like that.

What was going on?

He had been called a ruler, but...

He had assud that rebellion would trigger advantageous effects in battle, but this was just too passive. How were they absorbed so easily?

That was the part that Seong couldn't quite wrap his mind around.

Being a lord, to be absorbed like that...

Well, when he thought about it, maybe it made sense, considering the nature of Lazear.

"Didn’t he summon his followers from his own blood?"

If you thought about the structure of that...

It made sense that giving power to kin had limits. But perhaps by leveling up the skill, he could grant the absorbed kin the status of his followers?

That seed likely.

It probably was.

But right now, Seong wondered whether he should keep going with this event.

"Already gained 10 additional stats from absorbing 10 kin."

When would he get an opportunity like this again?

Honestly, he felt it was too much of a waste to stop here.

What if he absorbed as many as possible to gain more stat boosts?

He would grow stronger, plain and simple.

He couldn't just let this pass by.

With that in mind, Seong moved quickly, determined to sweep through all the kin in this labyrinth and head for another.

As ti passed, Seong's count of absorbed kin grew rapidly in real ti.

He was absorbing everything he encountered.

It was almost strange that it wasn’t increasing faster.

Those active in the labyrinth could only watch in awe.

They didn’t know how he was hunting, but no one could keep up with that speed.

"Hah, they said the Demon King was strong, but..."

"He’s unbelievably strong."

"I never imagined it would be like this."

"Hah, they said he had an army, but it was true."

"How can he be so fast?"

Other parties, who had still been holding on to so hope, finally gave up and focused on securing second place.

First place was already as good as decided.

Whenever a major event occurred, it was inevitable that so user would stand out.

Thus, when the event started, the User Managent Team beca busy, unlike the Event Managent Team, who had been preoccupied before the event.

However, even though they were busier, one person was smiling eerily while staring at the screen.

It was Lee Won-sang, the assistant manager.

His grin was unsettling enough that Oh Jin-hyuk, a staff mber, felt goosebumps rise and asked, "S-senior, why are you like this?"

Lee Won-sang answered with a wide smile, "Hm? Oh, I’m just happy."

"…Is it because Seong is... benefiting so much?"

"Yep! Exactly~!"

Oh Jin-hyuk was considering recomnding psychiatric help after seeing Lee Won-sang's expression, but that didn’t seem to faze him. Lee Won-sang continued to smile, genuinely pleased.

He had told Team Leader Baek Jiwoo about it before, but to see it play out like this...

Half-expected, but to think that such a trashy cheat skill had actually been obtained.

He didn’t even know the full details of the rewards, as they were classified for assistant managers like him.

But this... this was what it turned out to be.

When the vampire-related ability had been obtained...

It was part of an event involving a flood of vampires.

"Team Leader Baek Jiwoo will have to write a report on this."

"Huh?"

"Never mind. There’s sothing like that."

Lee Won-sang chuckled, thinking that even if Seong received three legendary rewards, he was still enjoying this mont.

He smirked, figuring that Baek Jiwoo would have to join him in this joy.

Suddenly, another user crossed his mind.

What was that user up to now?

Wasn’t he in the labyrinth area?

Thinking this, Lee Won-sang started looking around.

Oh Jin-hyuk, knowing sothing, made a comnt.

"Ah, it’s an Embris user, right?"

"Ah, you’re handling that Embris user?"

"Yes, yes! This user should be making so decent gains from this event!"

"Mm, that makes sense. The class is…?"

"Apprentice of the Bloodline! It’s a legendary class, and with their third job change, they’ve ascended to the Almighty tier! They're the 13th Almighty rank in the East Asia server."

Lee Won-sang’s face went pale as he turned to Oh Jin-hyuk after hearing this.

"Did you say Almighty rank through a third job change?"

"Yes? Yes! I was just writing the report about it."

"So, then… the Apostle of the Bloodline has sothing to do with the Blood Lord…"

"Huh?"

"Don’t they have a connection?"

Oh Jin-hyuk stared blankly at Lee Won-sang’s words before both their faces drained of color in realization.

This ant...

Seong was involved.

"W-wait, don’t worry. It should be fine. The chairman left a comnt about it."

The genius who created Eternal World, Chairman Park Won?

Lee Won-sang quickly said, "Oh, let see."

He stared at the screen, where the ssage appeared.

[Park Won - When users who have obtained both the Apostle of the Bloodline and the Blood Lord cross paths, the system will activate a unique interaction, but instead of absorbing one another like other kin, they will gain a new power.]

The thought of the new system made Lee Won-sang swallow hard.

Even if the two didn't et, there would be no problem as long as they didn't test their strength. But if they did et and tested their powers, things would get complicated.

He really hoped they wouldn’t cross paths.

"This is crazy."

It wasn't the ti to tease Team Leader Baek Jiwoo anymore.

As Lee Won-sang scrambled to report to Team Leader Ji Hye-jeong, Team Leader Baek Jiwoo stared blankly at his screen.

It was Seong, quickly claiming first place and continuously growing stronger.

Seeing that, a warning bell rang in Baek Jiwoo's mind, and his calculations spun quickly.

"Seong is absorbing the kin and gaining additional stats, and if this continues, he’ll receive three Legendary rewards… wait?"

No matter how he calculated, only one conclusion ca to mind.

This was a mistake not on the user's part but on the developer's side, making it impossible to cancel the rewards. It was a problem caused by the way the event had been set up for a specific user.

Unsure, Baek Jiwoo glanced over other data, but the warning Lee Won-sang had ntioned earlier was also there.

His face turned pale as the reality sank in.

This was a serious issue.

"I—I’m going to have to write a report..."

The thought of writing an official report made his head spin.

This event, designed to capitalize on Seong's third job change, was supposed to be a minor tweak, but now it was leading to this disaster.

With a heavy heart, Baek Jiwoo opened the file and began writing the report.

If he had known, he would have just designed a new event leisurely instead.

[The Large-Scale Event "Awakened Kin" has ended.]

[Contribution Ranking]

[1st Place: Seong - 100 Kin]

[2nd Place: "Embris Party" - 12 Kin]

[3rd Place: "Pavol Party" - 10 Kin]

...(continued).

[Rewards are being processed.]

[Please wait a mont.]

Although it was labeled a large-scale event, it only lasted for a few hours.

The event ended quickly.

More than half of the vampires awakened in the labyrinth had already left the area.

Even though so opportunities were missed, it could still be called a successful event, with players generally satisfied.

It provided enjoyable content that many had missed for a long ti.

However, so users scratched their heads while looking at the rankings.

Seong, as expected, was in first place as the Demon King. That part was expected.

There were few who questioned this.

The "Pavol Party," ranked third, was also a well-known party in the labyrinth area, so that wasn’t surprising.

But the second-place "Embris" na caught everyone off guard, as they had never heard of it before.

"Embris? Who is that?"

"I’ve never heard of them?"

"A newcor suddenly in second place?"

"Though, they caught two more kin than the Pavol Party."

Since Seong’s record was so extraordinary, no one paid attention to that anymore.

But Embris, who had a two-kill lead over the Pavol Party, had gained attention. Everyone tried to figure out who they were, but it wasn’t easy.

There was no known na for them.

And they had never revealed themselves in the labyrinth before.

"Ah, a rising star, huh?"

"Looks like it."

"These events always bring out new faces."

"Honestly, if it weren't for the Demon King, they might have been in first place."

"Yeah, 12 kin is impressive. The fourth place only caught 7."

They continued to talk, impressed by the performance, spreading word of mouth.

While Embris' na was quickly gaining traction, a party was roaming the labyrinth, exuding a dark and ominous energy.

Actually, it wasn’t quite a full party—only four mbers instead of the usual six to eight.

"We thought we’d be in first place for fighting vampires," one of them said.

"Yeah," another agreed.

"Hmm, that Demon King is pretty amazing," a third mber muttered.

Unlike the others, a character with an androgynous appearance was thoughtfully checking the rankings.

They stared blankly at the list, when suddenly one of their companions asked:

"Embris? What’s up?"

"Lost in thought?"

"Are you frustrated?"

The others asked, but Embris didn’t respond.

After a long pause, Embris finally spoke.

"I need to see the Demon King."

"What?"

"Why suddenly?"

"Why though?"

The three responded in unison, confused by Embris’ sudden declaration.

Embris smiled and explained, "Maybe it's related to my class change?"

With a smile that carried an indescribable beauty, the others, seeing it, nodded in agreent.

"If the leader says so, we’ll go."

"Alright."

"After all, it’s Embris."

With the group in agreent, Embris smiled, knowing that another user was now chasing Seong.

Seong, who never suspected that anyone had set their sights on him, watched as the event ended, his conscience pricking at him.

He checked the rewards.

[You have put the countless "Awakened Kin" to rest.]

[Your fa spreads throughout Eternal World.]

[As a first-place contributor, you receive three Legendary items and a random box x3.]

[This is the result of your actions as the "Blood Lord."]

[No experience points are gained.]

"Hmm."

He really did receive three Legendary rewards.

He was a bit worried they might be taken back as a bug, but there was no such ssage.

"Thank goodness."

It wasn’t a mistake that he’d obtained the Blood Lord power.

He had been worried that they might take it back, but it seed like it wouldn’t happen.

Even so, there was an uncomfortable feeling in his conscience.

It felt like he was making money while others worked hard—good, but a little guilty.

Anyway, he received his rewards.

"Let’s see what I got."
