As Seong switched his sword skill from Darkness to Abyss, the dark influence on Carn vanished completely.

With the change, Carn’s eyes snapped back into focus, and she imdiately charged toward Seong, the one responsible for this turn of events.

With a sound of explosive force, Carn slamd into the ground, leaving deep impressions behind. She surged forward, her form blurring and shooting out at Seong with intense speed.

Paaaah—!

The air resistance contorted Carn’s face, but even through the intense wind, her eyes glead brightly as she aid for Seong.

A spear, launched with unrelenting force, cut through the air like a flash of light. The sheer power of it was as threatening as the crimson aura swirling around it.

But Seong, unfazed by Carn’s attack, kept his focus solely on the sword wrapped in the energy of the Abyss.

To not even care about the opponent during a battle?

What a foolish rookie!

Carn thought as she hurled herself and her spear at Seong’s head. Just as she did, her entire entourage assembled beside her, each brandishing their weapons.

Fiora’s shield hand first blocked Carn’s spear, and Barfur’s massive fra supported her.

Noctrynium, using the walls of the labyrinth, created additional support for the others, allowing them to brace themselves.

anwhile, Valtar and Leonic crossed their swords in an X shape, blocking Carn’s spearhead.

Kaa—!

Kwah-ji-ji-ji-ji—!

Kaga-ka-ka-ka-ka—!

The spear, with its devastating power, was pushed back by the combined efforts of the entourage, and for a brief mont, Carn’s movent was halted.

‘This was the plan all along.’

Seong’s calculated move had worked.

Carn quickly realized what was happening and tried to move, but in that instant, a sword energy, darker than pitch black, appeared in front of her.

Seong’s trap was complete, and Carn could not escape the sword energy at this angle.

So...

‘I’ll block it as much as I can.’

But the angle was so bizarre, it was impossible to block.

Carn’s spear was already held by the entourage.

‘I won’t be able to block it.’

The sword energy, embodying Seong’s resolve, surged forward.

However, Carn, as if to defy that resolve, thrust her legs into the ground and retreated swiftly, abandoning her spear.

Her retreat was quick, but not fast enough to outrun the sword energy.

In a desperate attempt to defend, she crossed her arms in an X, using her crimson aura to block the incoming sword energy.

Swaaah—!!!

The sharp sound of the sword energy slicing through the fabric echoed horribly throughout the labyrinth.

Had she been hit?

Seong thought as he watched Carn, whose arms hung limp and bloodied, still in motion.

Done.

At that mont, the chains of the Abyss shot up from the ground.

“...?”

Carn, with a confused expression, watched as countless chains of the Abyss attempted to bind her.

She tried every possible maneuver to avoid them.

But the chains ensnared her, and she couldn’t break free.

Captured by the chains of the Abyss, darker than the blackness itself, Carn struggled in vain.

Then, Seong saw a system notification.

[Using sword skill "Abyss."]

[Engulfed by darkness, Carn is trapped in the Abyss.]

["Chains of the Abyss" bind the sinner.]

[The sinner, "The Worst of Pentagrid, Carn," resists.]

[This is an unresistable skill.]

[The sinner, "The Worst of Pentagrid, Carn," is bound.]

[The weight of her sin is imnse.]

[The sinner, "The Worst of Pentagrid, Carn," has their speed reduced by 200%, and Seong’s speed is increased by 200%.]

[This effect lasts for 1 minute.]

Finally, the effect of the Abyss skill was unleashed.

Carn’s weight increased, and her speed slowed drastically, while Seong’s speed was dramatically enhanced.

Her body felt as heavy as lead.

But even then, Carn burst into maddened laughter.

“Kyaa-hyaa-hyaa-hyaa!!! This is it!!! I love it!!!”

Laughing like a madwoman, Carn surged forward again.

But because the chains had slowed her down so much, she was far too slow compared to before.

Her body, pushing forward with blood spraying in all directions, looked like a moth rushing into a fla.

It was a sight of pure madness.

Seong, frowning, thought of several of his skills.

‘Most of my skills are area-based.’

He needed to hit large areas with his skills, and considering the labyrinth’s properties, using them here could risk collateral damage to Seong and his entourage.

He couldn’t use them carelessly.

The Explosive Combo was the sa.

If used in this labyrinth, the explosion would likely travel along the corridors, causing serious repercussions.

But there were a few skills that could still be useful in the labyrinth.

For example...

Blood Bloom.

A drop of blood ford from Seong’s fingertip.

But this blood wasn’t red. Instead, it had an ominous, dark glow around it.

Proof that it contained a deadly poison.

At the sa ti, Seong used that drop of blood to activate a skill.

A Thousand Blood Swords.

Normally, with Carn’s speed, this skill would have been impossible to use.

But with her speed halved, more than two hundred blood-red blades were summoned, and Carn’s laughter grew more frenzied.

“Kyaa-hyaa-hyaa-hyaa-hyaa!!!”

Carn stopped charging and stood still, reaching out her hand.

Suddenly, the spear that had been held by her entourage vanished and appeared in Carn’s hand.

She grinned, seemingly prepared to block all the blood swords with the spear, spinning it fiercely.

Despite her slowed speed, the spear spun at a surprisingly fast pace, gathering a storm-like force.

Hundreds of blood swords, glowing red in the air, flew toward her.

The labyrinth was filled with red as the blood swords collided with Carn’s spear.

But there was no way to block them all.

The spear’s shaft spun furiously as it deflected most of the incoming blades.

However, no one can stop the heavens with their hands.

Puh! Paat!

Pah! Swiish!

Swoosh!

So of the countless blood swords grazed Carn, leaving small, almost insignificant wounds.

But as the swords grazed her, they exploded.

Boom!

Explosions rang out, and any blood swords that touched Carn’s flesh vanished in bursts, scattering black blood in every direction.

The black blood splattered across Carn, causing a significant amount of damage from the explosions.

Without the Abyss chains, she would have been able to block or dodge everything.

But not this ti.

Carn, injured by the blood sword explosions, laughed maniacally.

“Kyaa-hyaa-hyaa-hyaa-hyaa!!! This will be my last battlefield!!!”

Her voice was filled with madness as she shouted, sending a chill down Seong’s spine.

Although she was a hidden raid boss, Carn was still an NPC.

A resident of this world.

And yet, even though she was about to die, she reveled in the battle with such obsession.

Seong couldn’t understand it.

But now, Carn was using more than just blood swords.

[The Hidden Raid Boss, "The Worst of Pentagrid, Carn," enters a deadly poison state due to Blood Venom.]

[This is an intense venom that cannot be purified.]

[It will continuously drain the health of the Hidden Raid Boss, "The Worst of Pentagrid, Carn."]

"Glug."

The effects manifested imdiately.

Yet Carn, even as she coughed up black blood, grinned wickedly and laughed maniacally.

Her eyes, narrowing into sharp lines, locked on Seong as she shouted.

"Pweeeck!!! Kyaa-hyaa-hyaa-hyaa!!! You’re just as strong as that woman, huh!? This is going to be fun!! I’ll enjoy killing you!!!"

Despite the significant damage and agony caused by the venom, Carn didn’t seem to care.

Even Seong’s entourage, witnessing this, couldn’t help but feel a shudder of disbelief.

"She's insane."

"Completely overtaken by madness."

"H-h-how terrifying!"

"Ugh, this is awful."

"…This madness is sothing else."

Seong’s followers, all having witnessed nurous battles, were stunned by the sheer intensity of Carn’s madness.

But Carn paid no attention to their reactions. Laughing wildly, she charged again, spear in hand.

She charged with reckless abandon, yet the outco was clear.

Carn, as a human, didn’t have a second phase as a raid boss.

Seong knew this was the ti to go all in.

He activated his Blood Plague skill.

This skill allowed Blood Venom to spread to enemies, and once the duration expired, it would explode.

As Carn charged forward, Seong's entourage imdiately attacked, their coordinated strikes ready.

With Carn slowed by the Blood Plague, there was no longer anything to fear.

Overwhelming disadvantage.

However, Carn continued to laugh joyously as she faced Seong’s followers.

"Hee hee hee!!! Kyaa-hyaa-hyaa-hyaa!!! This is fun!!! I’m so happy!!!"

Her cries seed almost like madness, but anyone could hear the genuine joy in her voice.

But then, her tone shifted.

"But if I can’t kill anyone, that’s not fair."

Her voice beca chilling, and Seong’s followers braced themselves, aligning their attacks to counter her.

Carn thrust her spear toward Fiora, attempting to impale her, but Fiora managed to avoid the attack by morphing like a sli, creating a gap to escape.

anwhile, Leonic and Valtar swung their swords at Carn.

Screech! Screech!!!

Long gashes appeared on Carn’s torso, but she paid no heed and imdiately tried to retrieve her spear to strike again.

Barfur appeared, his long claws slashing through the air, intending to tear Carn apart.

Swish—!!!

Slash!!!

Her skin was torn, and her muscles ruptured, but Carn, undeterred, swung her spear again, aiming to strike down Seong’s followers.

Just then, Noctrynium erged, using the labyrinth walls to block Carn’s spear.

Despite the unfavorable battle, Carn smiled, while Seong’s followers began to worry.

How could she fight so fiercely?

Despite taking so many successful attacks, she still wasn’t falling.

Even when her left arm was severed, Carn did not drop her spear. With only her right arm, she continued to wield it with her signature, twisted grin.

Her unrelenting joy, despite the damage, made Seong’s followers shudder.

Then, Seong used all his skill stacks to unleash the Seal of Death.

Countless skeletal arms, wielding sickles, surged forth and decapitated Carn.

But she was still laughing.

Was this even possible?

Ready to charge once again, Carn suddenly collapsed to her knees.

Had it ended?

Seong and his followers thought for a mont that they had won.

"Glug. Kyaa-hyaa-hyaa-hyaa!!! My vengeful soul will remain here forever!!!"

With that cry, Carn fell to the ground.

Had they truly won?

It felt like she could rise again and keep fighting.

As Seong glanced around, a system ssage appeared.

"Finally, it's over."

He couldn’t shake the feeling that such a formidable boss like this would never appear again.
