Both Donghai and the Ming Clan youth stood on the stage coldly looking at each other.
The crowd of disciples down below, as well as the nurous experts in the Pavilions and the sky, were staring intently at the stage anticipating the start of the match.
So of the disciples' mumbles reached Yang Su’s ear and he found out that the youth fighting Donghai was nad Ming Tengfei.
They didn’t have to wait long as the elder loudly exclaid for the match to start.
Donghai got into a martial arts stance while making sure his eyes remain locked onto Tengfei.
Tengfei remained standing upright with his left hand resting on the saber that was at his waist.
His expression was cold, but he still gave off an unconcern aura even though he was facing a ridian Opening Realm expert while being in the Blood Purifying Realm.
The experts above took note of that fact very quickly.
With the main stage itself being one hundred to one hundred and fifty ters from corner to corner, Donghai and Tengfei stood a few dozen ters apart.
However, the calm Tengfei took a step forward and rushed towards Donghai. Within a split second, he had already reached in front of him with his saber already out of its scabbard, slashing at Donghai.
But despite Tengfei’s speed, Donghai's reaction was quicker as he dodge to the side, having the saber passing re inches from his throat.
With a stomp of his foot on the stage, Donghai put distance between himself and Tengfei.
When everyone saw Tengfei’s speed their eyes lit up, especially the experts up above.
They could tell that Tengfei's speed actually matched a ridian Opening Realm cultivator, who had gone through the Bone Reconstruction Realm, which would have given them strength and speed that Blood Purifying Realm cultivators couldn’t accomplish.
However, that notion was shattered by Tengfei’s display as he was in the Blood Purifying Realm but was showing the strength of a ridian Opening Realm cultivator, by circulating his Internal Qi through his body via his opened ridians, thus boosting his speed and agility.
Most of the experts within the crowd couldn’t help but feel a ripple in their hearts, as they thought about the endless possibilities of experts like Tengfei filling up their ranks and their younger generation.
After dodging Tengfei’s saber, the air around Donghai beca a little more serious.
To be honest, he had never placed Tengfei’s weird cultivation within his eyes. He even found it absurd that soone in the Blood Purifying Realm could beat him with his level of cultivation. Though that strike from Tengfei caused him to take this match a little more seriously.
‘Swoosh!’
Donghai’s figure instantly rushed towards Tengfei unard.
Seeing this, the crowd was taken aback by Donghai’s decision to not pull out his sword but instead use his bare hands.
With speed not less than what Tengfei showed before, Donghai reached Tengfei and quickly sent out a fist towards his chest.
However, Tengfei had predicted the angle of the fist and was already slashing out his saber towards it, fully intent on severing Donghai’s arm.
Everyone gasped at this situation, but as soon as Donghai’s hand collided with Tengfei’s saber, instead of Donghai’s hand being severed with his blood splattering everywhere like what everyone thought, the only outco was a loud dang echoing out, that sounded as if a piece of tal had collided against another tal.
Both Donghai and Tengfei was knocked back from the collision, but Donghai recovered effortlessly and threw another fist at Tengfei’s chest.
This ti everyone could see Donghai’s fist glowing with a golden light as it landed on Tengfei's saber, who had managed to react to Donghai’s fist in ti.
However, when Donghai’s fist connected with his saber, Tengfei was knocked backwards again, and his face had even turned slightly pale while his body suddenly jolted.
Taking this opportunity, Donghai pressed forward and once again threw out his fist at Tengfei.
Tengfei quickly took a step back and tried to call upon his Spiritual Qi in his dantian to fight back against Donghai’s physique, but the attack from before had rattled his entire body as well as his Internal Qi. This made him need a split second worth of ti to get it under control.
However, Donghai’s next attack seed to be well-practiced and well-tid, as it reached Tengfei at that exact mont.
With no other choice, Tengfei could only fend off Donghai’s golden fist with his physique, which was unlike before where he was channeling his Internal Qi in his muscles. But by now, it could be seen that his physique was extrely lacking compared to Donghai’s own.
So with that, Donghai’s third attack landed on Tengfei's saber, and the mighty force of the attack traveled through the saber into Tengfei’s body once again.
This made blood flow from the corner of his lips and caused his reaction to Donghai’s rciless kick to be slowed down.
With a cracking sound, Donghai’s vicious kick landed on Tengfei’s chest, evidently breaking his sternum and a few of his rib cages.
Tengfei was thus thrown off the stage with blood pouring out of his mouth.
With wide eyes, the crowd of disciples looked between the beaten and bloodied Tengfei below the stage, and Donghai, who was proudly standing upright on the stage, with shock and amazent.
After a few cricket sounds, a sudden burst of noise resounded across the venue, as the disciples cheered at the outco of the match.
“What the hell?!! I thought that Tengfei was sothing special but he was beaten so badly with only three fists and a kick from Donghai."
"What is this, isn’t he a complete joke?!!”
Words such as these flowed from the crowd into the experts' ears, and they couldn't help but frown as they looked between Tengfei and Donghai.
Within the sa Pavilion as before, the other Clan Leaders all turned to look at Ghuanyu, who had a slight frown on his face. However, they said nothing and only looked away.
Similarly, the experts from the various powers glance at the Pavilion Ghuanyu was at, before they looked away.
Though this did not an that Ghuanyu’s cultivation thod was inferior to the original, an obvious flaw had just been pointed out in a rather glaring fashion nonetheless.
Within another Pavilion, both Fu Wei and Xi Shen were sitting side by side watching the events unfold below.
After seeing Tengfei getting knocked off the stage, Fu Wei chuckled and said, “This Sun Donghai is really cunning. He actually used the fact that his opponent hadn’t reached the Bone Reconstruction Realm to his advantage...haha… I should give him my thanks for giving that Ghuanyu and his stupid cultivation thod a good slap in his face.”
After saying that, Fu Wei continued to laugh a little more.
Hearing his brother’s words, Xi Shen agreed with them sowhat.
What Donghai did had also showed off his exceptional battle knowledge and experience, even as young as he was.
He had instantly figured out a way to defeat Tengfei with the least amount of effort. And even though his tactic was simple, it was really ingenious.
Since Tengfei was in the Blood Purifying Realm, and even though he had opened 20 of his ridians, he had not passed through the Bone Reconstruction Realm as Donghai did. This resulted in Tengfei having a significantly weaker body than Donghai, and though his Internal Qi was abundant as Donghai’s own, along with him having his ridians open which allowed him to circulate his Internal Qi throughout his body increasing his speed, his physique was still a major weakness.
By staying close to him, and giving Tengfei no ti to gather his Internal Qi, Donghai used his stronger physique to his advantage to beat him in only four moves.
A clean and efficient defeat.
The experts had co to the sa conclusion, but they knew that if Tengfei had been given the opportunity to use his Internal Qi to execute his martial arts techniques, Donghai wouldn’t have beaten him so easily.
So this didn’t deter their interest in Ghuanyu’s cultivation thod, and they only took note of such a flaw for future usage, whether it was to teach their younger ones how to fight against the other powers who decided to join Ghuanyu and use his thod, or to teach them how to avoid being beating using Donghai's thod.
After the rather short fight between Donghai and Tengfei, with them standing and laying down healing injuries on either side of the stage to show the winner’s section and loser’s section, the elder announced the start of the second match.
