Disciples' screams were heard as the ship tilted, about to through everyone overboard. The last elder of the rcenary Association reacted and did his best to stabilize the ship.
But he realized that so flight runes on the ship were damaged from that one strike. His heart couldn't help but sink upon realizing this.
With a solemn face, he glanced at Sea King Modu in the sky, but he could hardly tell it was him as his bloody and mangled appearance made him completely unrecognizable. However, instead of eting this elder's gaze, Sea King Modu was glancing at the crowd of disciples.
When his gaze found Jun and the others his eye narrowed at Yang Su who was still unconscious.
Sea king Modu took a step forward, but his figure suddenly paused as he coughed out a mouth full of blood.
The drop of blood essence on his forehead dimd and his cultivation returned back the early Nascent Soul Realm.
Seeing how weakened he was, the elder who was feeling despair let out a loud cry.
"Elders of the various academies and clans! The Sea King is extrely weakened due to the sacrifices of my fellow elders! I alone won't be enough to completely defeat him. Thus, I must shalessly ask that you help take revenge for elder Chun and my fellow elders! If we don't then all the disciples you task to protect on this ship might perish!!"
As the elder said that he didn't give anyone a chance to voice doubts as he flew into the air.
What the elder had just said was quite sneaky.
It was already known by most of the people on this ship who the Sea King was after, and he was no exception. However, he was told by Shi Chun that if Sea King make it onto this chip then the entire Maple Continent would be in danger.
The elder still couldn't understand why that was the case but he heeded the warning. And to not create a situation where these different powers of the Maple Continent saw it fit to sacrifice these youths for their safety, he took the initiative to say these words and made the first move.
Most of the elders on the ship had looks of hesitation on their faces, but a shout suddenly echoed out.
"There's no need to incite us to act. As powers from the Maple Continent the Sea Beasts are our mortal enemies, this is a rare opportunity to kill the Sea Beast King's clone and weaken the Sea Beasts' forces! We the elders of the Celestial Academy will help you!"
This shout was from the elder who had dealt out punishnt to the two religions back at the entrance of the Celestial Academy.
He along with two other Celestial Academy elders flew out to join the rcenary Association elder.
Within the crowd, Shiming narrowed his eyes at this.
He and everyone else could naturally tell that these elders were only spouting such things to protect their disciples.
However, as the number one academy on the Maple Continent, all the other Academies follow their example.
Several more elders in groups of two or just a single one flew to join the assault on Sea King Modu.
A majority of people on this ship were from the various academies, so as more and more elders flew up. The ones from the clans who were hesitant felt pressured to join.
Even though it was known Sea King Modu had targeted one of the Celestial Academy disciples for so reason, it was unknown whether Sea King Modu would let them off after he get what he wanted, or if he was only after him.
There was still a possibility that their own disciples were in danger if they didn't join forces and kill him now. Plus he was already so weakened, as long as they join forces they had a chance to escape this disaster.
With this thought in mind, the elders from the clans flew into the air. The elders from the Noble Families loyal to the Li Royal Family were already in the sky when they heard "weakening the Sea Beast forces."
Everyone had a different agenda as to why they had to kill Sea King Modu. The only elders who showed no movent were from the Demonic Cult.
In the crowd, an old man suddenly stepped from behind Shiming to fly into the air.
"Uncle! What are you doing?!"
The old man having his hand grabbed by Shiming paused and turned to him.
"Young Master, this is a situation where I must step in. While heading to the Star Bound Continent the Patriarch has tasked to protect you."
"Bullshit! This doesn't involve us so we shouldn't interfere. Who cares if they are captured by the Sea King?"
The old man shook his head and said.
"Young Master, whether the Sea King is after them alone or not is up for debate. But in this situation, if we sit back and do nothing we are no better than the Demonic Cult. Let do this Young Master."
"But-"
After saying that the old man didn't give Shiming a chance to retort as he flew into the air with the other elders.
Shiming seeing this gritted his teeth.
Only a few people in the clan knew they were working with the Demonic Cult.
This old man was Shiming's uncle.
Before Shiming was adopted into the Main Family of the Ming Clan because of his talents, he was rely a branch mber. This old man was his uncle that raised him after his parents had died.
Shiming knew his personality and should have known he would step in at this mont. In truth, there were so mbers of the Ming Clan that opposed his Patriarch granduncle going against the Li Clan. His uncle was one of them.
After his defeat with Yang Su and he went through that hellish training to form his Blade Will, his uncle would always tell him that he should never let what happened in the past affected him in the future and that he should let go of his hatred.
But he thought his uncle's way of thinking was too ek. Shiming would rather use his desire for revenge to fuel his growth like what his Patriarch granduncle had taught him. And it had paid off, he ended up forming his Blade Will and beca stronger.
However, despite never listening to his uncle, Shiming still held a level of respect for him in his heart. His entire childhood had been with him, so his affection towards him was no different from a son to their father.
Given all of this, he was both angry and sowhat anxious that his uncle would choose to be deceived by those bastards into attacking the Sea King.
'If anything happens to uncle, I'll-'
Shiming began to think to himself, but he couldn't finish that sentence as his mind suddenly went blank and his body stiffened at the scene he was witnessing.
As all the elders with varying cultivations from the Early Nascent Soul Realm to the Late Nascent Soul Realm flew up to attack a weakened Sea King Modu, but Sea King Modu simply revealed a gleam of contempt in his one eye.
Without any hesitation, Sea King Modu flipped over his remaining palm and brought out the Heavenly Parchnt.
The rcenary Association elder seeing this had his face fall.
"Oh no! Retreat! Everyone retreat!!"
However, he was too late as Sea King Modu infused the few remaining power of his blood essence into the Heavenly Parchnt. The Heavenly Parchnt grew to nearly a hundred ters and encapsulated the dozen or so elders.
The sigil in the middle of the Heavenly Parchnt then began to release a dangerous light.
Shiming watched as this light engulfed all the elders including his uncle.
Shiming's body shook and blood then seeped from the corner of his mouth while his eyes beca bloodshot as tears well up in them.
