Beyond the second wall, there was a thousand-ter stretch of land that separated the shore from the wall itself.
This stretch of land was currently littered with an uncountable amount of Sea Beast corpses. But an equally uncountable number would rush from the Sea onto the shore.
These Sea Beasts in particular were ones that could freely walk on land. They were considered canon fodders that were sent to die to the deadly formations that the humans set up on shore.
Despite the strength of the formations and the thousands of Sea Beasts they had massacred, the Sea Beasts' numbers seed to be endless.
The war had been ongoing for so ti now and the formations on the ground were barely holding back the Sea Beasts. As formations were destroyed one after the other, the Sea's water level would rise. If this continues and the Sea Beasts canon fodders don't let up, the Sea itself would eventually reach the second wall.
The nurous red eyes of the second wave of Sea Beasts in the Sea, which were far more powerful, showed eagerness as the Sea got closer to the second wall.
However, even though the ground formations were holding back the navy force of the Sea Beasts sowhat, the aerial force of the Sea Beasts had torn through the formations in the sky.
"Lieutenant ng! Lieutenant ng! Bad news! The formations in the sky have been breac-hmhm!"
A middle age man adorn in battle attire that was comically too big for him shouted frantically as he ca running towards a man that was built like two bears and had a great saber stuck in the ground beside him. The saber was around three ters in length and around two feet wide.
However, before the middle age man could finish his sentence, his mouth along with his entire face was covered up as this bear-like man nad Lieutenant ng grabbed his head.
This scene was actually quite horrifying to witness because it seed this lieutenant ng, if he wanted to, could crush this man's skull as simply as it was for a normal human to crush a grape.
"Ugh, did I hire an inconsiderate bastard as an assistant? Can't you see I was taken a nap?"
Lieutenant ng said as he let go of the middle age man's head before letting out a yawn.
The middle age man gasped for air after almost being choked to death, before looking up at Lieutenant ng and saying between gasps.
"Lieutenant ng, this is no ti to be sleeping!"
The middle age couldn't believe his boss would sleep in this situation.

BOOOOM!!!
They were currently on top of the second wall, and with all the explosions and chaos happening below them, how can anyone think of sleeping?
'And was he sleeping while standing up?'
"Lieutenant ng! What I was trying to say before is that the formations in the sky have been breached! Nurous Rank 3 beasts have entered the City!"
"Bastard! Didn't I hire you because you claim to be so genius strategist? But you can't even solve this yourself but you instead co running to be ?!"
"Keuk!"
The middle age man took a step back from the intimidating pressure that suddenly burst from Lieutenant ng's muscular physique.
Gritting his teeth, the middle man age seed to have gotten this treatnt one too many tis and this ti he seed to have completely snapped as he actually roared back.
"Fuck! What do you want from you stinking boss?! I could be the greatest strategist in the world but if no one listens to then my words might as well be worth dog shit!!"
"Humph! Didn't I say you should increase your cultivation then? Who would want to take orders from so Foundation Realm weakling."
The middle age man clenched one of his fists in front of him and said in frustration.
"If it were so easy to increase my cultivation with my poor talents don't you think I would have by now?!"
"Nonsense! If you didn't spend so much ti with your head buried in books then your cultivation could have been peerless!"
The middle man hearing that gave up, this boss of his was as dumb as a brick.
"Here, use this and command the army."
The middle age man was caught off guard and he instinctively caught the thing Lieutenant ng threw at him.
However, his hands imdiately sank, and his body almost fell forward from the weight of the thing.
"What the-"
The middle age was speechless when he looked down and saw the great saber that was stuck in the ground next to his boss in his hands. A cold shill also went down his spine when he sensed a saber intent radiating off it that could kill him in an instant if it flared up.
"Wha-How am I suppose to use this to command the army?"
The middle age man stuttered out.
"Anyone who doesn't listen to you just show them this saber and tell them that's the weapon I'm going to use to chop off their heads if they don't do what you tell them."
The middle age man's face turned pale at his boss's thods, but this was the next best thing other than him being there personally.
Lieutenant ng then watched as the middle age man struggle to carry away his great saber before he turned to look at the battlefield below.
Seeing that the ground formations were monts away from being breached as well, he scrunched up his face.
"Our formations have improved since the last beast wave, but they have been broken through faster than any other ti. Damn it."
Lieutenant ng suddenly cursed.
"This beast wave definitely isn't normal. I can't believe I'm stuck dealing with this. As the Lieutenant of the Extermination Battalion, how dare they sche against !"
Lieutenant ng got incensed as he thought about the plot that was carried out against him several nights ago by the other Battalion Lieutenants.
For Low-level beast waves that had a Rank 3 Sea Beast as the hoard leader, the captains of the various battalions would be the ones to control the army. For mid-level beast waves like the one currently that had Rank 4 Sea Beasts, Lieutenants were in charge of the army.
As for high-level beast waves that had Sea Lords as the leader of the beast wave, which in fact hadn't happened in decades now, the Generals would be the ones controlling the army on the front lines.
The plot that was carried out by the other battalion Lieutenants against Lieutenant ng, was that during a gambling bout, the bet on the table was that whoever lost would have to solely take charge of the army to battle a mid-level beast wave for a decade.
It just so happened this whole situation was set up so Lieutenant ng could lose.
"Those bastards, do they think a decade's worth of cultivation is enough for them to surpass ? Fuck them!"
Among the Lieutenants of the various battalions, Lieutenant ng was the strongest.
After releasing several curses, it seed Lieutenant ng had cald down sowhat.
SCREECH!!
Suddenly, a peak-tier Rank 3 flying beast broke through the formations in the sky and imdiately beeline for the wall.
Lieutenant ng scowled and went to grab his saber to hack this piece of shit to death, but his hand only grabbed empty air. He had forgotten he had just loaned his great saber.
"Fuck! Everything is just annoying!"
Lieutenant ng barked as he raised his arm and shaped his hand like a saber before chopping towards the peak-tier Rank 3 beast.
Imdiately, Lieutenant ng's terrifying power was revealed. After this chop, the world colors seed to dim and only a blood-red arc could be seen appearing in this dark void.
With a loud screech, the peak-tier Rank 3 beast could be seen falling out of the sky having been split in two by the blood-red arc that quickly disappeared.
After killing that peak-tier Rank 3 beast, Lieutenant ng thought back on its actions of mindlessly charging towards the wall and his instincts that tell him sothing was up began screaming at him in a louder volu.
His eyes narrowed as he looked out at Sea.
