The white light from the Ti Seed slowly retreated from encapsulating the entire dinsion.
In the Dragon Palace, Li Shen was seen sitting on the throne in ditation, never having left his position.
His Qi Sea Projection was above his head rotating as lively as it could.
Go Su looked around after the white light completely faded away.
“Just what was that light?”
He was utterly taken aback. The light had encapsulated him for about three seconds but it felt like an eternity. It felt short but long at the sa ti.
It was a strange feeling that made his perception of ti for that three seconds go completely haywire.
Go Su still feeling that Li Shen was too much of an anomaly, looked at his Qi Sea projection to find sothing weird.
“Now what is that? This child is just full of surprises, I’ve never seen a Divine Platform like that. No, I’ve never managed to see a Divine Platform before but I’m sure they aren’t supposed to be glowing with multicolored light.”
Li Shen’s ninth Divine Platform was currently releasing a dazzling ray of colors. His soul projection inside his dantian however was staring at his Ti Seed.
It was releasing a dim white light and it looked rather listless.
Li Shen watched as it drifted down towards his Qi Sea since the plum blossom was gone. Li Shen sported a bitter smile when it began absorbing the Ti Qi from his Qi Sea.
He had no way to stop it, he could only watch on the sidelines.
His Qi Sea size decreased back to its hundred-ter size. The Divine Platforms were stacked in two with one in the middle to handle the cramped space.
It was as if a wife had forced his husband to shift the furniture in the house to her liking. But as much as Li Shen thought such a big Qi Sea was cool looking, he realized as it condensed its structure beca stronger. So it wasn’t all bad.
After his Ti Seed finished its absorption, Li Shen could see that it had changed. It was releasing a silver light and was a bit bigger than it was before.
‘Just what are you?’
His Qi Sea had extracted it from the River of Ti which he thought was just a legend he read in the God Archives. He didn’t think it had a physical form.
Li Shen stared at his Ti Seed for a mont before he sighed and finally turned his attention to his strange-looking ninth Divine Platform.
It was positioned in the middle of his Qi Sea and it was slightly bigger than the others.
‘I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing.’
Li Shen frowned a little.
His Ti Seed wasn’t the only mysterious object within him, so was the Seven Sins Plum blossom.
Now it had fused with one of his Divine Platforms, he wasn’t sure if it was okay for it to be so attached to his Qi Cultivation.
Li Shen reached his hand forward and the plum blossom imdiately reacted to his call. It appeared above the Divine Platform its petals swaying gently.
“Hm?”
Li Shen was a bit surprised, he felt that it was easier to control it now and it wasn’t resisting him as much.
But he also realize that this Divine Platform it had attached to was slowly being filled with Desire Energy from the plum blossom.
“It's corrupting my ninth Divine Platform, how am I going to breakthrough into the Core Formation Realm with only eight Divine Platforms filled with Ti Qi?”
Li Shen thought for a mont and crazy idea started to appear in his mind.
‘Huh, will that work?’
A skeptical expression appeared on Li Shen’s face as he stared at his ninth Divine Platform.
‘I can only try.’
Li Shen thought as he reached his hand forwards once more, this ti he manipulated the Ti Qi inside the Divine Platform. Imdiately it began to flow out and form another Divine Platform below the plum blossom’s Divine Platform.
Li Shen’s eyes lit up at that.
Go Su on the outside seeing a tenth Divine Platform forming had his eyes bulge, but he soon shook his head and promise himself that he wouldn't be shocked by anything anymore.
“It actually worked, but I wonder if I could form more?”
Li Shen ponder on this thought for a mont but eventually decided not to. It would be harder for him to break into the Core Formation Realm if he had more.
As much as this would boost the amount of Ti Qi he could use, he had his Constant Qi Circulation.
Why create more batteries when he was always connected to the charging source?
Li Shen soon opened his eyes to look around. He was back in his own tiline.
As his Qi Sea projection slowly faded away, Go Su walked up towards him.
Li Shen looked towards him, the image of his younger self coming to mind. Standing up, Li Shen cupped his fist towards Go Su and said.
“Senior, I think it’s about ti I take my leave.”
“Does that an you aren't going to take the legacy?”
Li Shen thought for a mont.
The legacy Go Su was referring to was the Dragon Spirit. It was supposed to be branded on his soul, after which his Qi would beco Dragon Qi along with receiving the Legacy Cultivation thod and Daoist Magic spells of the Dragon Pavilion division of the Seven Divine Beast Sect.
It was safe to say Li Shen wasn’t interested in giving up his Ti Qi for Dragon Qi, even if it was a unique Qi. It would be like trading a sapling with endless potential growth for a tree that has already grown to maturity and reached its limit.
Li Shen declined the legacy and opted to have soone else who could devote themselves to the Seven Divine Beasts' legacy wholeheartedly. It just wasn’t him.
Maybe he would find soone in the outside world who would be worthy for Go Su to give it to.
Go Su watched as Li Shen turned to leave with a complicated expression on his face. But he figured Li Shen would refuse the legacy after seeing he was cultivating Ti Qi.
Turning around, he faced the dragon throne and beca golden specs before entering it.
Li Shen reached outside the Dragon Palace and floated up. He turned to look at the Kun Peng Island before he thought for a mont and then pulled out the jade slip Go Su gave him.
Li Shen scanned the information briefly and he found what he was looking for. After which he placed the jade slip back into his storage ring.
“There’s a training ground in each of the Palace, I’m guessing that's where he is.”
Li Shen stared at the Kun Peng Island for a bit longer before he decided to leave. He should start his own training now, but first, he had to fulfill his promise.
Li Shen flew down from the Avian Palace towards the Guardian Tree.
“Big brother Shen!”
Qiang appeared behind Li Shen and held him by his neck. She no longer resembled a projection but a normal little girl.
However, her pale skin and strange erald green hair and eyes were rather eye-catching.
Without turning around Li Shen smiled and said.
“I’m here like I promise, what do you want to do?”
Qiang had a wide smile spread across her lips, she then released a cute squeal of happiness before she said.
“I want to hear more stories about the outside world! Big brother Shen, hurry and tell more stories! Qiang has only ever been in this boring place but the outside world sounds really interesting!”
“Okay, but are you going to get off? You’re way too heavy.”
As soon as Qiang appeared on Li Shen’s back he had to use his Divine Will in addition to his weightless ability to keep them afloat.
She might seem like a normal-looking girl, but she was anything but. With her on his back, Li Shen felt like he was carrying a mountain on his shoulders.
Ripples appeared around them as Li Shen’s Divine Will forcefully tried to keep them in the air.
Qiang shook her head and like a hyperactive child, she pulled on Li Shen’s neck and rocked back and forth while saying.
“No, brother Shen has to carry Qiang while telling the stories!”
Li Shen almost felt like his neck was about to snap from her pulling.
“Ah, okay okay.”
Li Shen said quickly for Qiang to stop before she accidentally choked him to death.
Li Shen then carried them up to the larger tree branches. Stopping on one a few dozen ters in width, he was on all fours breathing heavily. Qiang anwhile was happily sitting on his back like he was a chair. He now felt as if his entire body was halfway from breaking apart.
The reason why Qiang was so abnormally strong was that she was in fact a Nascent Realm existence. But she doesn’t know her own strength and unknowingly ca close to killing Li Shen a few tis.
Well, killing him was a bit of an exaggeration but she could surely do so damage unknowingly.
Li Shen sighed helplessly. With Qiang’s urging, he began telling her a few things that were in the outside world.
To Li Shen or anyone else, they were trivial explanations of the different things humans have built as well as stories that were written, but Qiang would silently listen to him with wrapped attention.
It was still night ti and as Li Shen told his unimpressive stories he would look up through the foliage of the tree at the silver-looking full moon.
He was sitting cross-legged while Qiang leaned against his back.
“Elder brother Shen, I want to leave this place, but I can’t.”
Li Shen paused his storytelling.
Hearing Li Shen’s silence, Qiang said.
“I know it’s not big brother Shen’s fault Qiang is trapped in here. And Qiang doesn’t bla big brother Shen’s family, if I wasn’t in here where the laws are pure, Qiang wouldn’t have gained sentience.”
Qiang then let go of Li Shen’s neck and ca around to lay with her head on his lap.
Li Shen watched as she drifted off into what seed like sleep.
Suddenly, the leaves on the giant tree trembled before releasing golden specs of light. These golden specs filled the entire surroundings. They were like fireflies that when seen floating in the night gave the atmosphere a serene feeling.
Li Shen patted Qiang's head to which she stirred and face away from him.
She reminded him of his little sister Li Ling, their personalities were almost the sa as well.
Li Shen place his palms flat on the ground behind him and leaned back to watch the golden specs dance in the air.
He didn’t think about anything, or at least he tried to.
‘The person said you should make the decision and kill soone na Yang Su before it’s too late.’
“What does that even an? And who was it that told Ancestor to tell that? The person even knew I would appear in the past.”
Li Shen mumbled under his breath, but with no way to answer these questions, he realize he was just going to stress himself out.
“Whatever happens in the future I’ll handle it. It's my responsibility to and I won’t run away from it.”
Li Shen then took a deep breath and released it. Like this, he watched the twinkling night stars through the foliage as the night took it's ti to slowly beco day.
