“Oh! Where are my manners, respected seniors, I’m Long Feng, the Young Master of the Ancestral Dragon Clan.”
“Ancestral Dragon Clan? I have never heard of such an Ancestral Clan before.”
The rcenary Association Leader said with a hint of confusion in her voice.
“Ah, my Clan is quite far away from this small continent, so I understand if you haven’t heard of it.”
Calling the Maple Continent small, everyone's curiosity as to who this person was piqued even more. He sounds extrely young, and his soul hasn’t even transford into a Nascent Soul yet, aning he was below the Nascent Soul Realm.
However, none of them were fools. Just the technique he used to extend his Soul up here was enough for them to know this person was from a mysterious background. One they haven’t heard of before.
“Is there sothing that prompted you to reach out to us?”
Li Shu asked.
“Ah, yes yes, I was honestly worried about going bout this but happening upon this eting of this Continent’s top experts, I couldn’t help but be lucky. I’m searching for the descendants of the Sword God Clan. Do anyone of you Seniors have them in your respective organization? If not then I’ll ask you to look for them as I’ve already visited the other continents in this sub-region and I haven't found them. They must be here.”
Li Shen listening to this had his eyes flicker.
‘He used the term sub-region to describe this place, similarly to Lu Yue. Is he perhaps from the Central Continent?’
Li Shu was perhaps on the sa wavelength as his son, since he imdiately asked.
“Are you from the Central Continent?”
“The Central Continent?”
The rcenary Association Leader said surprise.
“Haha, I guess the secret is out with this. I am indeed from the Central Continent.”
Suddenly, a fluctuation was felt as the rcenary Association Leader’s soul trembled.
It was subtle but it didn’t go unnoticed by anyone.
“With that out of the way, could anyone answer my question regarding the Sword God Clan's descendants?”
Silence fell on the group and no one seed to know what he was talking about.
On a random mountain in the middle of nowhere, Long Feng could be seen sitting cross-legged without his hat on.
With white eyes, he look eerily strange as one could see a spiraling mark of a golden dragon on his forehead. Having your heart throb with just a glimpse of his face wasn’t out of the question, and just rop-dead handsoness couldn’t begin to describe his facial features.
However, those good-looking features were scrunched up into a frown as he got no reply.
‘They have to be here, I have searched four sub-regions so far where traces of their movents have been left and didn't find anything! I have tracked them down here and even saw traces of them here more than anywhere before. They must have settled down on this continent, but did they perhaps go into hiding then?’
Long Feng was so frustrated that he rubbed the sides of his aching head.
However, Lu Xue Wen's voice suddenly spoke up.
“Might I ask what are your intentions in seeking them out?”
Long Feng instantly perked up, and he realized sothing.
“Oh, no-no-no, I assure you I don’t have any malicious intentions in seeking them out. The Sword God Clan were once allied with our Ancestral Dragon Clan before their fall. As the Young Master of the Dragon Clan and its future Patriarch, I seek to form a friendly relationship with them. I also have my personal reason for wanting to see the famous Sword God Clan’s sword skills in person. I heard they used to be the number one sword clan on the Eastern Continent.”
As Long Feng spoke he confused the experts as well as Li Shen. They have no idea what he was talking about. But they could obviously tell it related to the Central Continent, and Lu Xue Wen seems know about it.
“Those two are my disciples and are under my protection. If you want to et them then you are welco to my Celestial Academy.”
Long Feng’s face lit up with joy.
“So I was speaking with their Master, how rude of not to show my respects.”
“It's fine, I can let you et them, but as for your desire for a battle, my disciple Ling Tian is in the Late stage of the Nascent Soul Realm while his sister is in the Late Foundation realm. It would be more appropriate to battle Ling Tian, however, I cannot decide for him as it’s his decision.”
Li Shen couldn’t help but suck in a cold breath of air upon realizing the people that this person was looking for were Ling Tian and his sister.
‘Of course, I should have known since Yang Su had ntioned that they were originally from the Central Continent.’
“Thank you-um…”
“You can address as Academy Leader Wen.”
“Right, thank you Academy Leader Wen, I will be arriving at the Celestial Academy shortly.”
Li Shen frowned at that, but he wasn’t worried. The academy was big enough that he won’t bump into him. And even if he did he had no way of knowing it was him.
“Oh! I almost forgot. I have another matter to ask seniors.”
Long Feng’s eyes turned cold as he continue.
“Which one of you has a disciple that hides his appearance with a mask? He’s extrely talented so I assu he’s high profile. Tell who he is.”
Hearing the shift in Long Feng's tone from respectful to commanding, caused everyone to frown except Lu Xue Wen.
The only person there who reacted differently was Li Shen. He was sporting an ugly expression.
‘This fucking bastard is going to use this thod to search for ? Dammit!’
The reason for Li Shen’s concern was because of one small factor that would prove deadly in this situation.
“A mask disciple? There is only one disciple who have gained notoriety with a mask in recent years, and that’s the Faceless Hero.”
Long Feng’s eyes flickered when he heard Patriarch Evernight’s words. He hadn’t left as yet.
“If you tell his real identity then I’ll complete one request of seniors. Your Demonic Cult is being suppressed right? I can give you the ans of fighting back.”
Everyone was shocked upon hearing that.
Imdiately, Li Shu said.
“That would make you an enemy of my Li Clan.”
Long Feng imdiately sneered, before saying with disdain.
“A small Clan that accidentally found the Ancestral Tomb of the Golden Lotus Clan, thinks of going against my Ancient Dragon Clan? Hahaha! Are you a clown old man? If you were the powerful Golden Lotus Clan where I’m from, I would have shut up and run away with my tail between my legs. But a re imitation of the real thing, who’s afraid of war can’t do anything worth ntioning.”
Li Shen was first narrowing his eyes, but upon hearing Long Feng’s latter words they imdiately widen.
‘There’s a Golden Lotus Clan on the Central Continent?’
“Whether we are but re ants compared to our fellow Golden Lotus Clan on the Central Continent or not, we share the sa bloodline. I don’t believe they will stand by and watch soone from the Central Continent co and cause our downfall.”
‘Huh? Does father know about that Golden Lotus Clan? Why didn’t he say anything then? Perhaps he didn’t see the need to tell? What else is he keeping from ?’
As Li Shen was filled with thoughts because of his father’s response, Long Feng on the other hand was frowning.
‘I have to admit, the pride of the Golden Lotus Clan knows no bounds. Even compared to my Dragon Clan which has the bloodline of a dragon, one of the most prideful creatures in existence, we fail to achieve the sa level of pride as them. If they were to find out a clan shared the sa bloodline as them in this backwater continent they might pay slight attention to them because of potential candidates to join their branch, but probably wouldn’t interfere if they were being annihilated by their enemies on this continent.
‘If I on the other hand, who is from the Dragon Clan on the Central Continent were to be the one that caused their destruction, if or when they found out I’ll probably invite disaster to my clan.’
Just as Long Feng was wondering if he should double down on his offer, Lu Xue Wen spoke up.
“Young Master Long Feng, the Demonic Cult is the mortal enemy of my Celestial Academy.”
With that, all thoughts of doubling down on his decision went out the window.
Long Feng's main goal was to find the Sword God Clan’s descendants. Jeopardizing that so he could achieve his personal goal to find that thief was out of the question.
Long Feng sighed.
anwhile, Patriarch Evernight was snorting at Lu Xue Wen.
“I only said I know of him, not that I knew his identity. I would also like to find him and make him pay for destroying so many of my Demonic Cult’s hideouts. Whoever child that, is you better rein him in or else he’s going to make enemies he can’t afford to make. No, haha, he already has, judging by this Young Master’s tone of voice.”
Sitting in a clear white world with a hand resting on his cheek, Li Shu was frowning while listening to Patriarch Evernight’s words.
The rcenary Association Leader hesitated for a bit before saying slowly.
“Young Master Long Feng, what sort of grudge do you have against the Faceless Hero?”
Long Feng grind his teeth.
“He stole my Dragon Clan’s dragon Qi. Not even the Golden Lotus Clan or any of the top three Ancestral Clans would dare do such a thing, it is our reverse scale.”
Everyone could hear the absolute hatred behind Long Feng’s words.
In his white world, Li Shu was massaging the bridge of his nose while shaking his head.
Hearing that, the rcenary Association Leader hesitated.
Long Feng’s eyes narrowed at that, while simultaneously Li Shen start to sweat bullets in panic at this sudden developnt.
