Despite the dragons appearance once again, Li Shen ignored it and continue to focus on pulling the golden Qi towards him, albeit with slight difficulty.
Dissatisfaction appeared inside the dragon's eyes upon seeing this. However, it soon took on what looked like a lackadaisical expression as he watched Li Shen trying to steal his Qi.
After a second of silence watching Li Shen struggle, the dragon spoke up and said.
“My Dragon Qi is not sothing you can steal, stop before you bite off more than you can chew.”
Behind the mask, Li Shen’s expression took on a deep frown. This so-called Dragon Qi was actually quite terrifying, no matter how hard he tried it kept resisting him.
The Dragon Qi instead flowed towards the dragon causing its body to beco more tangible. Its lackadaisical expression soon turned to amusent, making it obvious he find Li Shen trying to steal his Dragon Qi funnier than it was insulting.
Li Shen’s eyes twitched as the last remaining Golden Qi flowed towards the dragon.
However, in a split-second decision, he suddenly started circulating his Qi Sea actively. Instead of aiming to absorb Ti Qi from the void, he aid it at the Dragon Qi.
An overbearing suction force suddenly appeared from his hand, and the last remaining strand of Dragon Qi was suddenly yanked backward towards him.
A surprise look appeared in the dragon's eyes, anwhile halfway across the Continent, inside a common tavern in a Core Formation-level city. A figure hiding his appearance behind a veiled hat at the back of the tavern, had his body go rigid. And from his eyes that were visible, the sa surprise look in the dragon’s eyes could be seen within them.
What was weird about this brief showing of his eyes, was that they were completely white, having no pupils in them.
But he could still clearly see, and he watched as the suction force from Li Shen’s hand continue to forcefully pull his Dragon Qi towards him.
‘This brat, to think there was soone in this backwater continent that was brazen enough to try and steal my Dragon Clan’s Dragon Qi, and even nearly succeeding.’
Despite his initial surprise, the figure quickly cald down and made a hand seal before pointing forwards.
His movent here was reflected over millions of kiloters away. The Dragon Qi that was once being dominated by Li Shen sprung to life and released itself from his control.
Beside the figure in the tavern, a person smaller in physical fra that was dressed the sa, turned to him and with a titled head asked.
“Master, what’s wrong?”
His voice was that of a young boy.
“Ah, nothing, just a little mischievous brat I found.”
The little boy had question marks appear over his head but didn’t say any more, instead, he went back to drink from a container that had glistening white liquid swirling inside.
It looked to be… milk perhaps??
‘Dammit! What is this?!’
Li Shen cursed in his heart.
The last remaining Dragon Qi fused with the dragon’s body and Li Shen watched this happen with a bitter expression.
He soon heard the dragon chuckle and said.
“See, it’s not so easy stealing soone else’s Qi. Do you mind if I ask who little brother is? I’m quite curious how you manage to activate my Dragon Qi, once it’s in a dormant state it’s hard for people to sense it much less force it to appear.”
Li Shen didn’t respond and only begrudgingly lant his missed opportunity.
Such a unique Qi was quite interesting, and he would have liked to get a sample of it to further study. Maybe he could have even ford sothing similar with his Ti Qi.
This person seed quite far away so he could have gotten away with it. And from Li Shen’s own observations, this person hasn’t reached the Nascent Soul Realm, or at least not fully. Maybe on the cusp of entering it rely a hair’s breadth away.
Li Shen sighed internally and was ready to walk away, but sothing that have remained dormant in his body suddenly showed movent.
‘Huh?’
Li Shen was surprised by this sudden movent.
The man seeing that he was being ignored, had the dragon say.
“Ah, how about this. If you tell your thod of how you did it, I’ll give you a finger-sized strand. Huh, how about it?”
In the tavern, the figure in the corner swished his cup of wine while he leaned back casually. It was up to Li Shen to accept his offer, but he would regret it if he did anyway.
The man calmly watch as Li Shen was about to leave, but suddenly turned back around.
“Hm?”
The man suddenly felt a foreboding feeling in his heart.
But that feeling hadn’t even appeared for more than a second when his eyes nearly popped out of his head at what he saw.
Li Shen after turning around raised his index finger towards his dragon form. In shocking fashion, a ridiculous amount of suction force burst from his finger and in the blink of an eye suck the entirety of his dragon form into his body.
In the tavern, the man's entire body froze almost believing what just happened was a big joke. Maybe soone with a recording device was going to pop out of nowhere and said jk, you’re on “what are the odds of sothing impossible happening?”
But nothing of the sort happened.
The man quickly sat up and ford a hand seal.
Back at the mountain, another dragon ford, but the man’s vision quickly went black.
But what he saw in that split second made his face blench.
That brat was absorbing all of the remaining Dragon Qi in the surroundings.
'It might only be a residue of my true Dragon Qi, but I still can’t let it fall into his hands.'
The man’s eyes flashed with a cold light before he ford different hand signs that were more complex than the others previously.
Back at the mountain, Li Shen watched in frozen stupefaction as the Dragon Qi in the surroundings entered his index finger.
However, his heart bled as he sent his perception inside his body to see that it was being absorbed by the Ti Seed above his Qi Sea.
“Dammit, what the hell?!”
Li Shen recovered and after cursing at this he tried to stop the suction force. If this continued he won’t have any for himself to study. How wasteful would that be?
“Fuck, why did I release this thing?! It won’t stop!”
Li Shen instantly regretted allowing this thing to start absorbing the Dragon Qi.
In order to stop the suction force, he closed off his body’s pores and blocked his facial orifices. And it worked, the Dragon Qi stopped entering his body.
Li Shen released an internal sigh of relief. Looking around there was quite a bit that was left.
However, with the suction force gone the man’s technique finally went through.
So of the remaining Dragon Qi ford the translucent dragon once more. However, that dragon soon took on the shape of a man with a featureless face.
After observing the surroundings to see that most of his Dragon Qi were gone, he turned to Li Shen and said in a grim tone.
“I can’t let you keep that Dragon Qi. It’s a pity I have to take the life of such a talented youngster, but you have no idea the consequences that can befall you for what you did. So to avoid any future troubles you can go ahead and die.”
After saying that, the man ford a hand seal and then pointed at Li Shen.
Li Shen saw this and had his body tense ready for an attack, but strangely even after a while, nothing happened.
“Eh? W-What is this? Why can’t I sense my Dragon Qi you absorbed?”
The once calm and dignified air the man was releasing suddenly deflated to slight panic.
The man ford another set of hand seals and pointed at Li Shen but once again nothing happened.
The man got even more panic and started rapidly forming more and more hand seals.
Li Shen ca to the conclusion that the man thought he could kill him with the Dragon Qi he absorbed. But he wasn’t the one who absorbed it.
“Dammit!!”
The man realizing that none of his hand seals were working, turned to Li Shen, and if he had eyes and facial features, he would have been looking at Li Shen with an angry expression.
“Spit it out.”
“…”
Li Shen remained silent, his mouth clamped shut.
