Chen Zheng was racking his brain, trying to figure out how to return to Earth.

He knew he was unwelco now, but there was no helping it. Even if he wanted to stay, he first had to find a suitable body.

"Hello? Are you okay?" The voice from the phone made Chen Zheng frown slightly.

"Mhm," he responded in a low voice.

"What’s wrong? You sound strange. Did sothing happen?" the man on the other end of the call asked.

"Nothing much, just so minor trouble," Chen Zheng replied briefly, changing the subject. "Why’d you decide to call today?"

"Isn’t it because I miss you...?" the man muttered.

"Alright, cut the crap. What do you want?" Chen Zheng interrupted. "Spit it out."

"You’re no fun. Didn’t I just tell you? I want to talk about my girlfriend!" the man complained. He sighed and continued, "I’ve had so... incidents lately, and my mories have been a ss. We were fine just a little while ago, but who would’ve guessed she’d cheat on with our third brother? Ugh, we broke up, and then that bastard went off to chase other won. I couldn’t stand it, so I slept with her. What do you think I should do?"

Chen Zheng raised an eyebrow and asked, "And then?"

"Well, of course I have to take responsibility!" the man said. "I have to be responsible for my woman!"

Chen Zheng scoffed, "Your woman? Ha!"

"What’s with that tone? Do you think this is sothing to be ashad of?" The man was upset by Chen Zheng’s mockery.

"I’m just reminding you not to forget your mission," Chen Zheng replied coldly. "If you can’t even handle this, you’re not worthy of that great person. You’ll encounter many more situations like this in the future. I hope you can handle it."

"I... I..." the man choked. After a long pause, he managed to blurt out, "Stay out of my business! I’ve already decided! I’m going to marry your daughter!"

Chen Zheng laughed scornfully and hung up.

On the other end of the line, the man glared hatefully at his phone. "Hmph! Just you wait. Sooner or later, I’ll get that little bitch into my bed, and then you’ll co begging !"

"What did you say?"

Suddenly, a cold and authoritative voice rang out from the doorway, making the two people inside tremble. A man stood in the hallway: dressed in a black suit with leather shoes and gold-rimd glasses, he looked refined and cultured.

"I, I, I, I..." the man stamred, trembling. "Boss... Boss Chen... you misheard , I, I..."

Before he could finish, the man in black kicked him in the chest, sending him flying back over the tea table.

THUD!

The man twitched once on the floor and then passed out.

"Daddy!"

At that mont, a childish cry ca from the bedroom. A beautiful little girl in a pink princess dress with her hair in a bun ran out, rushing toward the man in black. "Daddy, don’t be angry! My other daddy just likes to spout nonsense."

"Daddy?" Chen Zheng raised an eyebrow, his gaze falling on the little girl in pink. "Are you Xiao Yue’er?"

"Daddy, do you know ?" Xiao Yue’er blinked and asked cutely, tilting her head. "My na is Xiao Yue’er."

"Yes, Daddy knows you." Chen Zheng’s eyes lingered on her for a mont before shifting to the man on the floor. He lifted his right foot and pressed it onto the man’s back. "You said you wanted to pursue Xiao Yue’er?"

"Ngh... I..." The man struggled to open his eyes. His gaze flickered, but he stubbornly insisted, "I... I just... like Xiao Yue’er... I... I want... to marry Xiao Yue’er..."

THUMP!

Before he could finish, Chen Zheng kicked him again, sending him flying through the glass window and into the swimming pool outside.

"Waaaah!" Xiao Yue’er burst into tears, frightened, and clutched nervously at the corner of Chen Zheng’s suit.

"There, there. Daddy will take you back to your room to rest." Chen Zheng patted Xiao Yue’er’s head, bent down to pick her up, and walked toward her room.

"Daddy! I want to eat cake!" Xiao Yue’er wrapped her arms around Chen Zheng’s neck, said, wheedling.

"Okay, Daddy will have soone buy it right away," Chen Zheng replied with a gentle smile.

The little girl smiled sweetly. "Thank you, Daddy!"

「Half an hour later.」

A white rcedes-Benz drove up to a detached villa and ca to a steady stop.

"Sir, we’ve arrived," the driver said respectfully as he opened the door.

"Hmm."

Chen Zheng grunted in acknowledgnt as he carried the sleeping Xiao Yue’er out of the car and walked straight toward the villa.

"Sir..."

The nanny saw the little girl in Chen Zheng’s arms. She opened her mouth to speak but hesitated. Although she was just a servant, she could sense the oppressive aura emanating from Chen Zheng. I can barely breathe, she thought. This man is no ordinary person! He’s anything but ordinary!

Chen Zheng ignored the nanny’s unease, carried Xiao Yue’er upstairs, and pushed open the door to the living room.

"Ah! Who are you people? Let go... Help!"

In the living room, a woman of about twenty-seven or twenty-eight, dressed in a long sundress, was screaming and struggling. No matter how fast she moved, however, she couldn’t escape the grip of a large man. This woman was Xiao Yue’er’s mother, Zhao Lirong. Terrified, she fought against her restraints with all her might, but it was no use.

"Let you go? Do you think that’s likely?" Chen Zheng glanced at the struggling Zhao Lirong as he gently placed his daughter on the sofa. "Xiao Yue’er, close your eyes."

"Okay," Xiao Yue’er obediently closed her eyes.

"What... what do you want to do?" Zhao Lirong glared at Chen Zheng with wide eyes. "Who exactly are you? Do you know kidnapping is a cri? Let go now, or else...!"

SLAP!

A sharp slap was her only answer.

"Cough... cough..." Blood trickled from the corner of Zhao Lirong’s mouth. She clutched her throbbing cheek, staring at Chen Zheng with pure hatred. "You dare hit ! Do you know who I am? You actually dared to hit ! I’m telling you, you’re a dead man!"

CRACK!

The words had barely left her mouth when the crisp sound of breaking bones echoed from beside her. Zhao Lirong froze for a second before whipping her head around. She saw that her husband, who had been holding her just monts before, was now unconscious on the floor. And the one responsible for it all, Chen Zheng, was sitting leisurely in a chair, elegantly sipping tea.

"Daddy, is this my mommy?" Xiao Yue’er opened her eyes, rubbed them sleepily, and after seeing the scene before her, she couldn’t help exclaiming, "Ah! Is this Daddy’s new house? It’s so pretty!"

"Go take a bath first," Chen Zheng said, smiling as he pinched Xiao Yue’er’s nose. "I’ll tell you a story to help you sleep later."

"Hee hee, okay!"

Xiao Yue’er nodded vigorously and skipped into the bathroom. A mont later, the sound of splashing water could be heard.

"What... what exactly do you want? Do you even know who I am?" Zhao Lirong stared at Chen Zheng, her heart pounding in her chest. This strange man is terrifying, she thought. I can feel such a dangerous aura from him... it feels like if I provoke him in the slightest, he’ll kill !

"Oh?" Chen Zheng glanced at Zhao Lirong. "Are you thinking of calling the police? Or perhaps the dia?"

"You..."

Panic seized Zhao Lirong.

"Heh," Chen Zheng let out a cold laugh. With a light swipe of his right hand through the air, a jade stone erged, and within it, a soul shivered in terror.

"Ah! Don’t kill ! Please, don’t kill ! I’m willing to be a slave to you and your daughter!" the soul inside the jade stone shrieked in terror. It was only a remnant wisp. Back in the Xianwu Realm, when he was at the Nascent Soul Stage, he had fallen in battle against a great demon king.

Because his power in the Nascent Soul Realm hadn’t been strong enough, he had only barely survived as a remnant soul. For the last several hundred years, he had been forced to hide within this jade stone, not daring to take a single step out. The demon lord periodically sent ghost soldiers to search for him, and if he were ever found, it would an certain death.
