Outside the door, an elderly man approached rapidly. He appeared to be in his seventies, with slightly yellowing hair. He wore a full beard, and with his hair and beard tied back, he looked like an enraged lion.

"Liu... Head Liu..." Gao Feng’s forehead began to sweat profusely upon seeing the man.

He had never expected Liu Changyun to be so fast, tracking him down directly to his door. The most crucial thing was that the man’s entrance had utterly shattered his understanding of the world; it was simply too shocking!

Previously, he had harbored doubts about the intelligence, thinking perhaps there had been so misunderstanding. But now, he was almost certain that Liu Changyun had indeed reached the realm of a half-step Grandmaster.

"Very well," Liu Changyun’s expression was extrely foul, his gaze filled with undisguised killing intent. "Gao Feng, so you’re here too. This is perfect. My grandson is dead, and neither of you can escape responsibility. Today, you will both pay for my grandson’s life with your own!"

From the mont he learned of his grandson’s death, he had sworn to make everyone involved pay the price.

"You old fart..." Chen Zheng remained seated on the sofa, showing no intention of moving. "Bragging without a good look at your surroundings, aren’t you afraid of throwing out your back?"

Within a three-ter radius around him, there was no damage, not even a speck of dust. Chen Zheng himself calmly continued to eat the fruit before him, as if he paid the man outside no mind at all.

"Are you Chen Zheng?" Liu Changyun sneered with utter contempt. "You’re even younger than I imagined! Just a boy who’s barely sprouted hair, and yet so arrogant! I have been in seclusion abroad for half a year and have reached the realm of a half-step Grandmaster! You will be the first person I kill after erging from seclusion!"

With these words, he let out a chilling laugh, his eyes flickering with murderous intent. It seed he was about to strike at any mont, ready to tear them both to shreds.

"Head Liu..." Gao Feng clenched his teeth and stepped forward, hoping to use an excuse as a temporary shield. "We previously had an agreent that all grudges would be settled at the Wu Martial Arts Conference. By acting so suddenly now, aren’t you breaking the rules?"

"What? Rules?" Liu Changyun’s eyes were bloodshot, his reason almost completely devoured by rage. "You bastards killed my grandson, and now you have the nerve to talk to about rules? Since you’re both dead n walking anyway, I might as well send you on your way now!"

As he spoke, his hands morphed into claw-like shapes, and his clothes billowed around him without a breeze, rustling loudly.

"Liu Changyun, you should be well aware of Mr. Chen’s status! If you act now, it ans declaring war on the frontier troops!" Gao Feng’s expression was filled with urgency as he played his final card by invoking Chen Zheng’s identity.

"Of course I know his identity. So what?" Liu Changyun smirked mockingly. "The Alliance is now directly under the Security Departnt! I answer directly to the Security Departnt now! I can kill anyone who threatens the security of Huaxia at will! Killing soone like him will, at most, get a reprimand. Besides, generals like him are a di a dozen. Without a powerful family backing him, he’s nothing but a dog!"

To soone like Liu Changyun, so-called status was only impressive to the common folk. At this level, what truly mattered was the power and influence one had backing them!

The Security Departnt! Gao Feng was completely stunned. He never imagined the Alliance had already been absorbed by the Security Departnt. That was an entity on par with the military, with power beyond imagination. Most importantly, its mbers had much closer ties to the top and enjoyed many special privileges.

Just then, figures appeared on the second floor, all holding firearms. Unsurprisingly, every barrel was pointed at Liu Changyun.

Liu Changyun slowly stopped, his expression full of disdain. "You can’t possibly think these pieces of scrap tal can harm , can you? Today, no one can save you. I decree it," he sneered, about to strike.

But just then, the sounds of a large group approaching ca from outside the villa.

"Damn it! Liu Changyun, my young friend Chen is a treasured guest of our Central Plains Division! Who gave you the gall to move against him? Are you trying to rebel?"

No sooner had these words been spoken than a short, middle-aged man charged in from outside with a large contingent of troops. Simultaneously, even more weapons were aid at him. When Liu Changyun saw this man, his expression changed dramatically. "General Wang?"

The Wolf of Central Plains, Wang Yuanchang!

Liu Changyun might not recognize anyone else, but he certainly couldn’t fail to recognize the identity and status of the man before him. This was the most formidable presence in the entire Jingzhou region! Even though he had now stepped into the half-step Grandmaster realm, he would never dare to act presumptuously in front of this man!

A powerful Martial Artist could certainly bend so mundane rules, but he was far from that level. Even if he truly reached the Grandmaster realm, in terms of status, he could never be on equal footing with a regional commander.

"General Wang..." Liu Changyun’s expression was extrely strained. "Our Alliance has always coexisted peacefully with the Central Plains Division. Besides, this man isn’t one of yours, is he? This is a private grudge between us. Why bring so many people to interfere? Aren’t you overstepping your bounds a bit, General Wang?"

A year ago, he would never have dared to speak to Wang Yuanchang like this; he wouldn’t have had the right. But now, as a half-step Grandmaster and the Alliance Hierarch, he naturally spoke with more confidence and authority.

"Damn it..." Wang Yuanchang snorted coldly. "Liu Changyun, have you gone deaf already? I made myself perfectly clear. My young friend Chen is my treasured guest. If you keep pestering him, believe when I say I can make your Alliance headquarters vanish in the blink of an eye."

Liu Changyun imdiately gritted his teeth in frustration. He hadn’t expected Wang Yuanchang to be so protective of Chen Zheng. His gaze flickered with indecision.

With the Wolf of Central Plains here, forcing a move was impossible. The Alliance didn’t yet have the strength to openly confront the Central Plains Division.

"Fine, fine, fine..." Liu Changyun finally relented. "Today, I will give General Wang face. Boy, you can count yourself lucky. But it won’t be long. At the Wu Martial Arts Conference, your luck will run out!"
