"There’s no need for that..." Chen Zheng waved his hand dismissively. "Since Mr. Yuan sent you to help, I can rest easy!"

"But I must say," he added, "the quality of our staff here does need so serious improvent!"

As he spoke, Chen Zheng looked aningfully at the group of sales employees.

Feeling his gaze, they all shivered and bowed their heads low. Many of them were so frightened by his aura that they trembled and could barely stay on their feet.

The forr Manager Li, upon seeing this scene, froze on the spot. His face was deathly pale, and he constantly wiped the sweat from his forehead.

I’ve made a huge mistake! To think I treated the boss like he was nothing! I was even going to have security throw him out? No wonder General Manager Xu slapped . I really deserved it!

"Mr. Chen, you can rest assured..." Xu Tian, who already understood what had happened, imdiately stepped forward. "That Manager Li, along with the rest of the sales departnt staff—I will have them out of here imdiately. As of now, they no longer work for us!"

"Today is the grand opening, a big day. We mustn’t let this affect your mood, Boss. How about we proceed with the eting?"

Chen Zheng nodded slowly. To him, Wang Li and that manager were just small fry, not worth his concern.

And so, on behalf of all the managent present, Chen Zheng held an impromptu board eting right there in the open air.

Wang Li and Manager Li, of course, were promptly thrown out.

After the board eting, Zhang Ming was still waiting off to the side, growing highly irritated.

I’m here to spend money, and they’ve made wait this long! Is there no justice in the world?

But unexpectedly, the ones who finally ca for him were a few security guards.

"What is the aning of this?" Zhang Ming demanded. "I’ve waited for half the day! Do you not want to sell this property anymore? What are you trying to do?"

He didn’t even have a chance to finish speaking before the security guards grabbed him and began dragging him out.

"We’re very sorry, Mr. Zhang..." one of them said. "Our boss has just inford us that we don’t sell our properties to trash. Your presence here is dirtying the place!"

"So please leave at once, and don’t ever co back!"

With that, they tossed Zhang Ming outside like a bag of garbage without a mont’s hesitation.

"You bastards..." Zhang Ming growled, rubbing his aching back as he scrambled up from the ground, his face contorted with fury.

"Is your boss insane? How dare he offend in public?" Zhang Ming pointed at the sales center’s main door, cursing wildly. "Fine, fine... You dare treat like this? Just wait until my company goes public! I’ll buy up every last one of your properties and make your boss crawl between my legs!"

He had barely finished speaking when a bucket of sothing with a pungent odor ca pouring down from above, drenching him from head to toe.

"You dogs... you dare splash urine on ? I’ll kill you!" Zhang Ming was stunned, screaming his lungs out.

Just then, two massive guard dogs, leashed by security, ca running out.

At the sight of them, Zhang Ming wet himself on the spot and sprinted toward the parking lot as fast as he could.

He never would have dread that he had sohow, for no apparent reason, offended the boss of this place.

He finally managed to reach the parking lot and shake off the pursuing dogs. Just then, his phone suddenly rang.

He glanced at the screen—it was Wang Li!

That bitch, Wang Li, actually dares to call ?

"Brother Zhang..."

"I have nothing to do with you anymore, so don’t be so familiar," he snarled. "I’ll rember what happened today. Don’t you ever look for again!"

"I got tired of your body a long ti ago! Get the hell away from and don’t ever bother again!" Zhang Ming cursed fiercely before adding her to his blocklist and speeding away.

I reek right now. I need to find a place to change as soon as possible. Otherwise, I won’t be able to face anyone!

After the board eting, Chen Zheng got the keys to the apartnt his parents had their eye on from Xu Tian.

Later that afternoon, he went to the hotel and brought Wei Wufeng and his wife over.

The mont they walked into the apartnt, they were utterly astonished. All the furniture was top-of-the-line; they could move in with just their suitcases.

Xu Fang couldn’t wait. She bought a load of necessities nearby and they moved in right away.

It took the entire evening to finally get the two of them settled in.

After sorting everything out, Chen Zheng stepped outside alone and gave Wei Zixuan a call.

It had been over two days since they had last spoken, and he was naturally a little worried.

The phone rang for a long ti, but she didn’t pick up. Chen Zheng shook his head bitterly.

It seems so things just can’t be resolved unless we et in person.

"God of War, the Zhu Ling Grass has surfaced!" Just then, a figure slowly appeared. "It’s going to be auctioned next weekend at the Sun Auction House in Jiangnan!"

"Finally, so news?" Chen Zheng nodded slowly. "Prepare the plane imdiately. We’re heading to Jiangnan first thing tomorrow morning!"

「Jiangnan International Airport.」

Two incredibly tall figures walked slowly down from the plane.

Chen Zheng couldn’t help but cough twice. Zhao Feng imdiately took out a cloak and quickly draped it over his shoulders. "God of War, the weather has turned colder. You must take care of yourself!"

"It’s nothing..."

"Right, have you found anything on that director surnad Ma?" At the ntion of this, Chen Zheng’s expression instantly turned grim.

The matter with Chen Sheng had been resolved, but his own uncle was nothing more than a pawn. This director, surnad Ma, was the true mastermind behind his father’s death. He had to be dealt with, no matter the cost.

"We’ve found so clues. The man goes by the nickna ’Lord Ma,’ but his real na is Ma Benshan. According to our investigation, he’s from the capital." Zhao Feng hesitated for a mont before continuing. "He and your paternal uncle were supposed to have been classmates and close friends. They both attended university in the capital!"

Many details were still under investigation, and he had originally planned to report back only when he had a complete picture. But since Chen Zheng had asked, he had to report what he knew.

"My father’s classmate and friend?" Chen Zheng’s brow furrowed, his fists clenching tightly.

A sharp pain pierced his heart. The ones who had betrayed him and his father were always the people closest to them—the very ones he thought would never turn on them.

So cruel...
