Wei Zixuan clutched a cup of coffee, remaining silent. The issues between her and her husband couldn’t be explained in just a sentence or two.

I probably just ca to Jiangnan to get away from Chen Zheng for a while, to give us both so space to re-evaluate our relationship. But the real question, the one I want to know most, is whether he truly loves .

"Alright, alright," Sun Yan said gently, not pressing the issue. "If you don’t want to talk about it, you don’t have to. Since you’ve co to , just relax and make yourself at ho."

"My husband’s company is actually looking for a new vice president, and you’re more than capable of handling the role. I’ll recomnd you later on! As for that husband of yours, just let him wait. I’ll introduce you to so eligible bachelors from prominent families. Once you find the right man here, you can go straight back and divorce him!"

Hearing this, Wei Zixuan pursed her lips. She hadn’t seriously considered divorce.

Besides, my heart has no room for anyone else right now...

「The next day.」

Chen Zheng arrived at the Jiangnan villa community. This was his first visit since Yuan Qishan had given him the entire district. He’d already done his research, of course, and knew the villas here were in high demand. Yuan Qishan had spent nearly a year on a massive advertising campaign, making it one of the most prestigious luxury communities in Yunshan. Not only was the location pri, but the surrounding landscaping was also top-tier, all constructed to the highest possible standards.

Naturally, such opulent mansions were being eagerly snapped up by the wealthy. So, when the sales office finally opened, it was already crowded with prospective buyers. In fact, many were putting down deposits to secure their chosen hos after just a single glance.

"Chen Zheng?"

Just as he stepped into the lobby, a woman in professional attire approached him, her expression a mask of surprise. She was beautiful, with an impressive figure highlighted by her business suit and black stockings, giving off a very alluring aura. However, the mont her eyes landed on Chen Zheng, her face filled with undisguised scorn and contempt.

Chen Zheng froze for a mont. He hadn’t expected to run into Wang Li here. He had no fondness for the woman and had no intention of speaking to her, so he simply started to walk past her and further inside.

However, Wang Li wasn’t about to let him go. She moved like lightning to block his path.

"Don’t you dare tell you ca here to buy a house," she sneered. "Our villas are for the elite!"

"You’re just a fruit shop owner. How could you possibly afford one?"

"Wang Li, what I’m doing here today has nothing to do with you, does it?" Chen Zheng’s brow furrowed. "The doors are wide open for anyone to co in and look. You’re just a sales agent. Who gave you the right to be so arrogant and look down on people?" he added, his voice cold.

He truly didn’t want to get tangled up with this woman, but if she was determined to be unreasonable, he wouldn’t mind putting her in her place—hard.

"What did you say?" Wang Li practically exploded with anger. "How dare you accuse of looking down on people?"

How dare this worthless trash insult in front of so many people? If this weren’t our grand opening, I would have slapped him across the face already.

"Chen Zheng, don’t think you can act all high and mighty in front of just because you managed to fool a few rich won!" she spat, crossing her arms. "Take a good look at yourself! You’re nothing but a kept man, a dog sobody else is raising. You think you can afford a house here? Even if you went out and sold yourself every night, could you manage it?"

She still rembered the incident at the Lili Western Restaurant all too clearly. She absolutely refused to believe that those two won would ever willingly marry Chen Zheng, so she had never stopped looking down on him.

"Wang Li, that’s enough," Chen Zheng said, slowly shaking his head. "I couldn’t be bothered to argue with you. In my eyes, you’re nothing but a bedbug. But if you insist on making trouble today, I have no problem with throwing you out of here!" His voice was now ice-cold.

"Hahaha..." Wang Li let out a derisive laugh, her eyes wide with disdain. "Who do you think you are? You want to throw ** out? Chen Zheng, have you been drinking cheap liquor? Do you actually think you own this place? To say you’ll throw out... just look at yourself!"

"Li!"

Just then, a well-dressed man with a confident air walked in from outside.

"Mr. Zhang, you finally made it! I’ve been waiting for you forever!" Wang Li’s deanor changed in an instant. She greeted him with a beaming smile, quickly taking his arm. "I’ve been holding those villas you liked, but if you hadn’t co soon, they would’ve been snatched up!"

As she spoke, she leaned in, pressing her chest against his arm.

Zhang Ming’s interest was imdiately piqued, and he gave her backside a playful pat.

This saucy little minx called all the way from Jiangnan to invest in real estate here. She took very good care of last night, so I’ll definitely be buying several more properties today!

"What’s this?" Zhang Ming glanced aningfully at Chen Zheng, assuming he was the person Wang Li was talking about. "Is soone else interested in the houses I picked out?"

Wang Li chuckled. "Oh, don’t misunderstand, Mr. Zhang. This is just so worthless trash who runs a fruit shop. How could a loser like him ever afford a house here?"

"That’s true," Zhang Ming said, looking Chen Zheng up and down with a sneer. "Judging by his shabby appearance, there’s no way he’s qualified to buy property here. You people should be more careful. Why are you letting just anyone in? This is a high-end residential area, not a public park!"

To be in the sa room as a re fruit shop owner was, in his opinion, a disgrace.

"Chen Zheng!" Wang Li piped up, her voice dripping with contempt. "Did you hear that? Mr. Zhang told you to get lost! Why are you still standing around, dirtying the place?"

"The ones who should get lost are you," Chen Zheng said, his gaze turning grim.

"What? What was that?" Zhang Ming said, cupping a hand to his ear as if he hadn’t heard. "Listen here, kid, do you have any idea who I am? A piece of trash like you dares to act so arrogant in front of ?"
