After so in-depth research, Chen Zheng discovered that the required dicinal herbs were not difficult to find. The only issue was that their effects improved with age.

He gently lifted the red cloth on the tray, revealing three 500-year-old herbs: ginseng, a phoenix flower, and a Ling Tian root.

A flash of surprise crossed his eyes. These are the exact three main herbs needed for the Body Tempering Potion!

Consequently, he summoned Kuang Nie to help him gather the remaining herbs.

Kuang Nie’s figure vanished into the distance, his orders relayed with the speed of a gust of wind. People flocked to the surrounding villages in search of the rare herbs, while another team set foot onto the mysterious Yuan Qian Mountain.

In just one day, Chen Zheng had all the herbs he needed. He began his alchemy journey without hesitation.

Making the Body Tempering Potion did not require advanced alchemical skills; one simply had to follow the formula ticulously. Chen Zheng cleverly incorporated the herbs gifted by the Three Veins into the potion.

Through experintation, he discovered the liquid did indeed enhance his physical strength. However, after the third use, the effects had beco negligible, so he decided to stop.

Over the next five days, with the help of the Nanhai Stockade and the Three Veins, he concocted nurous high-quality Body Tempering Potions and stored them in his system space.

On a sunny day, Chen Zheng waved goodbye to everyone and departed from the Nanhai Stockade in a streak of light.

"When will Lord Chen Zheng visit again?" Kuang Nie asked reluctantly at the entrance to the Nanhai Stockade.

"Father, I’m going to Yun City with Huang Hua too. Why don’t you ask when I’ll be back?" Kuang Yuanyuan said, glancing at Kuang Nie with a hint of jealousy.

"You’re coming back? Once you follow Huang Hua to Yun City, won’t you be enchanted by its bustling world?" Kuang Nie frowned.

"Uh!" Kuang Yuanyuan was montarily at a loss for words. After all, she had heard that life there was incredibly vibrant.

"Alright, head back now! Serve Lord Chen Zheng well in the future," Kuang Nie said, glancing at a bank card.

As he departed, Chen Zheng had left behind a fortune worth one hundred million as a reward for the Nanhai Stockade’s diligent efforts. He had consud a vast quantity of their dicinal herbs, and this money was undoubtedly a form of compensation.

Chen Zheng did not take a plane from the city. Instead, he activated his Flowing Light Technique, cutting through the clouds as he headed directly for Yun City.

A few hours later, he descended into his villa like the wind.

"Master!"

Guo Fu rushed out from the house excitedly. Her appearance brought a warm smile to Chen Zheng’s face. "How have you been?"

Guo Fu nodded happily. "Yes, I’ve been doing well. The three of them co over every day to keep company!"

It turned out that during Chen Zheng’s absence, Wei Zixuan, Li Yitong, and Liu Qianqian had often visited the villa to study how to make the Spirit Jade Elixir together. To them, it was like a fun and enjoyable ga.

Chen Zheng nodded in satisfaction, then produced the formula for the Body Tempering Potion. "This is the Body Tempering Potion; it can strengthen one’s physical fortitude. The Southern Tribes will be sending the necessary herbs over, so you should practice making it. I need to return to my hotown for a while. When Zixuan and the others co by, please let them know."

"Yes, Master!" Guo Fu agreed, though a trace of disappointnt flickered in her heart. Master just got back, and now he’s leaving again!

Chen Zheng, of course, did not notice these subtle emotional changes. He got into his car and headed straight for Mumu Village.

Upon returning to his holand, Chen Zheng generously left Yuan Pei Pills, Body Tempering Potions, and an enhanced version of the Spirit Jade Elixir for his family. After spending two warm days with his parents, he once again set out for Yun City.

In the days that followed, Chen Zheng led a leisurely life in Yun City. He would cultivate for a while each day, then have dinner and take strolls with the four beautiful won. Delightfully, thanks to the various miraculous formulas, his friends’ cultivation speed improved by leaps and bounds. Guo Fu had already beco a Grandmaster and was still climbing higher.

However, his ’original exercise’ was a daily regin he never skipped.

「The pleasant days lasted for just over half a month before being disrupted once more.」

As the first light of dawn appeared, Chen Zheng bathed in the warm sunlight while leisurely descending the stairs. Guo Fu was already waiting in the dining room. She called out enthusiastically, "Master, co have so delicious breakfast!"

Chen Zheng smiled as he entered the dining room and began to enjoy his al. However, a reproachful look in Guo Fu’s eyes made him feel sowhat uneasy.

It turned out that since he started using the Body Tempering Potion, his physique had improved to an unprecedented degree. As a side effect, the ’combat prowess’ of the three won had also been greatly enhanced. The resulting commotion had apparently been quite astonishing and had likely disturbed Guo Fu downstairs. Seeing her increasingly resentful expression, Chen Zheng hurriedly finished his breakfast and left the dining room.

He knew his disciple had developed feelings for him.

In the depths of his mind, thoughts sparked, but he preferred to let life take its course and allow things to develop naturally. His philosophy was simple yet profound: don’t initiate, but don’t reject.

He chuckled lightly and stepped out of the living room, preparing to find so amusent in the bustling food court.

However, the tranquility was shattered by the shrill sound of braking as a military off-road vehicle screeched to a halt at the gate. Chen Zheng’s brows furrowed, his gaze fixed on the sudden arrival.

The car door opened, and a woman in a black bodysuit stepped out, clutching a red wax-sealed file.

Chen Zheng’s eyes widened slightly. This woman looks fierce!

The woman had a graceful, curvaceous figure. With her hair tied up high, she exuded a valiant aura. Her appearance was no less stunning than that of Wei Zixuan and the other two—perhaps even more so—and she radiated an aura of iron-willed determination.

Chen Zheng walked to the villa’s front door and stood waiting in the open doorway.

"Major General Chen!" The woman approached and gave him a military salute, her chest heaving slightly with the motion.

"Uh, I haven’t been trained, so I’ll spare myself the embarrassnt. You are...?" Chen Zheng said.

"Gongsun Ranyan, Pavilion Master of the Dragon’s Dive Pavilion’s Yun City branch. Codena: Yan," the woman introduced herself. "You can call Pavilion Master Gongsun, or just Yan."

Her beauty and intelligence were awe-inspiring, her speech sharp and powerful.

"I’m here on a secret order from the Pavilion Master."

She handed Chen Zheng the file, which contained a letter and a pitch-black communicator. This communicator was an exclusive and powerful device from the Dragon’s Dive Pavilion.

Chen Zheng gently tore open the envelope, extracting a letter that slled faintly of ink. He didn’t avoid Gongsun Ranyan’s gaze as he openly unfolded it.

The first line was clearly visible. "Chen Zheng, Major General Chen, it’s been a while!"

However, the sentences that followed made his face turn ashen. The letter went on to say that, having heard Major General Chen was enjoying a life of leisure recently, frolicking among the ’flowers,’ the Pavilion Master had specially dispatched Yan to pay him a visit...

Chen Zheng angrily crumpled the letter into a ball and threw it fiercely to the ground, cursing, "That shaless old bastard!"

Gongsun Ranyan maintained a poker face but snickered internally. She was well aware this was typical of the Pavilion Master; his subordinates were all used to it. Besides, how could a real secret order be delivered in a letter? That would utterly diminish the prestige of the Dragon’s Dive Pavilion!
