"Even for a Gu Master, once you enter that forbidden land, you may be devoured by the fog, unable to extricate yourself. Although we Gu Masters occasionally go to the edge of Mount Insect King to capture Gu insects, we have never dared to venture deep within it."

"However, the fact that the Gu Chi Lineage is hidden where the miasma is thickest is truly surprising."

Thinking it over, Elder Gu Qing imdiately understood that the Gu Chi lineage would stop at nothing in their pursuit of power. If they had truly found a way to enter Mount Insect King, it would not be surprising at all.

[Ding! Congratulations on successfully triggering a choice mission!]

[Option 1: Travel to Mount Insect King and eradicate the Gu Chi Lineage. Reward: Realm Advancent.]

[Option 2: Join forces with the other Gu Masters to exterminate the Gu Chi Lineage. Reward: 50 Favorability with the Southern Barbarian Gu Masters.]

Chen Zheng was still wrestling with his thoughts as Elder Gu Qing spoke.

"Young friend," the elder said, "on behalf of the Gu Master tradition, I thank you. Now, we shall join forces and vow to annihilate the Gu Chi lineage!"

Chen Zheng gazed at Elder Gu Qing and asked, "Do you know how to avoid the miasma?"

Elder Gu Qing was taken aback for a mont before replying firmly, "We will certainly look into it. I’m sure the Gu Chi lineage can’t be living there completely unaffected."

Chen Zheng sighed softly. This elder is a fool. The mont they sense you coming, they’ll flee. By the ti you’ve figured anything out, they’ll be long gone. Besides, you’ve all been trying to enter Mount Insect King for years and still haven’t found a way to deal with the miasma.

"Please tell the exact location of Mount Insect King," Chen Zheng requested calmly.

"Ah! Young hero, are you planning to... go alone?" Elder Gu Qing asked with a hint of doubt.

Chen Zheng gave a slight nod, confirming the elder’s suspicion. He had already made his decision: he would choose option one.

"Young hero, that is absolutely inadvisable! The Gu Chi lineage has been conserving its strength and gathering power over the years. They may have amassed an unimaginable force. If you act so rashly, what if..."

Elder Gu Qing’s words were still on his lips when Chen Zheng waved a hand, cutting him off.

"I only need the location of Mount Insect King. You needn’t worry about the rest."

Conflict washed over Elder Gu Qing’s face. He spoke helplessly, "Young man, it’s not that I’m unwilling to tell you, but even if I did, you might not be able to find it."

"The environnt of Mount Insect King is intricate and complex. Without a guide, it will be difficult for you to locate it. Even if you fly and look down from the sky, you may not be able to pinpoint its exact position."

Hearing this, Chen Zheng fell into deep thought.

"Young man, perhaps you should consider joining us," Elder Gu Qing’s voice flowed like a deep, andering stream.

But Chen Zheng was like an immovable rock.

He stopped pondering and slowly lifted his head. "I need a guide."

A flicker of surprise passed through Elder Gu Qing’s eyes as he sighed internally. Before he could respond, Yue Gao appeared before him as silent as moonlight, her gaze fixed firmly on Chen Zheng. "I can be your guide."

A young man’s voice hung in the air as he tried to stop her. "Yue Gao, the dangers of Mount Insect King..."

But Yue Gao’s voice was as calm and steadfast as a spring breeze rippling across a lake. "I will take you to Mount Insect King on one condition: you must teach how to cure the Quanhuang Gu Poison."

"I agree," Chen Zheng said, rising from his seat, his voice firm and powerful.

He made a promise to Yue Gao, "When you have led to my destination, you are welco to co to Nanhai Stockade and seek out Kuang Yuanyuan. She will teach you the secret to curing the Gu poison."

"Good!"

Hearing this promise, Yue Gao bowed her head, her eyes shimring with excitent.

"Then let us begin!" Chen Zheng declared, turning and walking toward the hall’s entrance.

Yue Gao followed closely behind, like a shadow.

The mont they stepped out of the main hall, Chen Zheng stretched out a hand. As if drawn by so invisible force, Yue Gao gently levitated. An instant later, they shot toward the sky like twin arrows.

With a sharp gaze, Yue Gao pointed into the distance, and their figures soon vanished over the horizon.

The young man looked at the elder anxiously, his voice trembling. "Elder, Yue Gao is heading into such danger at Mount Insect King! What should we do?"

The elder casually waved his hand, his expression resolute. "I will follow them. Go and inform Elders Gu Yun and Gu Hei, and tell them to et us at Mount Insect King."

With that, the elder’s figure vanished from outside the hall.

The young man sighed helplessly, summoned his Gu insects, and sent a ssage to the Gu Qing lineage.

At the peak of the distant Mount Insect King, the mbers of the Gu Chi lineage looked up like startled birds, nervously watching the Fate Gu high above them.

Three soft pops echoed, like the Grim Reaper’s scythe slicing through the night, as three Fate Gu burst in an instant. Their lifeless bodies tumbled from the sky.

People cried out in horror, "More have died!"

In the sudden panic, the commotion from within the mountain’s core escalated instantly.

An old man’s brow was deeply furrowed, but after a mont of deliberation, his expression smoothed. He opened his parched lips, his hoarse voice echoing like a sound from ancient tis. "Silence!"

In an instant, everyone fell silent, their gazes locked firmly on him.

"It seems we’ve t a formidable enemy. In that case, we will gather all our Gu insects and set out tomorrow!"

"By your command, Great Elder!" the crowd roared like a tidal wave, their eyes gleaming with long-awaited fervor. They had spent countless years in this dark world, silently collecting mysterious Gu insects. Now that they had amassed a huge number of them, the ti had finally co to return to the light of day.

It was clear that the na of Gu Chi would soon resound once again across the skies of the Southern Border.

anwhile, Chen Zheng and Yue Gao soared through the air.

With a re thought, his True Qi began to flow along a peculiar trajectory. In the blink of an eye, his speed skyrocketed.

Yue Gao looked down at the world below in astonishnt. Everything beca a blur as their speed surged. By the ti she could refocus, the scenery below had beco completely unfamiliar.

"What incredible speed is this?" she marveled.

It’s acceptable. Although the consumption is high, for the Nine Yang Divine Art, it’s rely a drop in the bucket. Chen Zheng thought to himself with satisfaction.

The Nine Yang Divine Art made his True Qi flow like a mighty, unending river. He sped forth with all his might, the two of them streaking across the firmant like a pair of shooting stars.

Elder Gu Qing, trailing far behind, his eyes as wide as copper bells.

He hovered in mid-air, astonished. How did his speed increase so much all of a sudden? How did he do it?

Just monts ago, Chen Zheng’s speed had been comparable to his own. But after that sudden acceleration, he was moving at more than double his speed. How could he not be shocked?

By then, Chen Zheng and Yue Gao had already shrunk into tiny black dots in the distance. The elder dared not delay any longer and hurriedly gave chase. Even though the black dots were getting smaller and had nearly vanished from sight, the elder wasn’t overly anxious. He knew the location of Mount Insect King.
