After Karen heard this, she couldn’t help shuddering.

But her flustered denial made Cheyenne suspect sothing all of a sudden.
Since William’s car accident, the official investigation had determined it to be purely an accident, and the party that caused the accident had also died. So Cheyenne hadn’t been thinking about the other aspects.
Even when Karen said there was sothing fishy about the car accident, she didn’t pay too much attention to her words because she thought that Karen was just trying to fra Lucas, given how much she hated him.
