"That's great! I can't believe I ran into you. By the way, is that fish of yours for sale?" Jiang Yuqi was delighted. The main attraction had appeared right in front of her.

If the price was right, she was determined to buy that fish.

The reason for buying it was simple: the fish was big enough to be a great gimmick.

Chu Mingcheng was montarily speechless at the girl’s reaction. Here stood a tall, handso man right in front of her, yet all she could think about was food? Was her mind completely consud by it?

He only complained a little in his heart, but when it ca to selling the fish, he wasn't very willing.

Because that bin diao was too rare. If he took it back to shore and let the rich bosses fight over it, he could probably get a very good price.

But if he had to na a price himself, he didn't know how much to ask.

If he asked for too much, people would think it was too expensive. He still wanted to turn Jiang Yuqi into a custor, and maybe get to know so other food vloggers through her!

If he asked for too little, he'd feel like he was losing out!

Quality custors and a temporary higher profit—he wanted both!

After thinking for a mont, Chu Mingcheng decided to test the waters first. It would be best if Jiang Yuqi backed down on her own.

"The price of that fish is a bit high, much higher than market price. Its comrcial value is very good, so its price will be greatly increased. Are you sure you want to buy it?"

Jiang Yuqi heard this and directly held up three fingers: "Thirty thousand. How about you sell it to ? I'm buying this fish mainly to collaborate with a food vlogger with tens of millions of fans."

"He's very interested in strange or particularly large seafood. How about I introduce him to you then?"

"Deal!" Chu Mingcheng decisively shook her hand. He didn't care if it was soft or not, but this girl was generous.

Maybe she was a rich girl experiencing life?

But who cared? As long as she was willing to spend money, she was the most beautiful little fairy in Chu Mingcheng's eyes!

The price of thirty thousand was five thousand higher than his psychological expectation. Plus, Jiang Yuqi promised to introduce him to a food vlogger with tens of millions of fans. What was there to hesitate about?

A generous and straightforward girl like this usually knew people who weren't too fussy.

If they were fussy, Jiang Yuqi probably wouldn't like to interact with them either; their personalities wouldn't match.

If Chu Mingcheng could get to know a big internet celebrity through her, and if he could successfully turn that big internet celebrity into his custor, then he might be able to get in touch with the big internet celebrity's connections as well.

Connections radiate like that. The more high-quality bosses he knew, the more successful he would be in his high-end seafood business.

With the deal made, the two agreed to complete the transaction when they returned to shore.

After that, Jiang Yuqi beca like a curious child, pestering him with questions about fishing.

She had slept last night and hadn't fished. She had tried fishing this morning, but had co up empty all morning.

She had a lot of questions. Faced with a complete novice, Chu Mingcheng didn't know how to teach her either. He simply told her to co find him at the next fishing spot, and he would take her fishing with him.

The afternoon passed quickly. After dinner, the Sky High set sail again.

The next fishing spot would be reached at ten in the evening. It was still night fishing.

He heard from the crewman that the Sky High would stay at the next fishing spot for one night and one day, and they could go trolling again tomorrow afternoon.

Therefore, Chu Mingcheng told Jiang Yuqi to go back and get a good night's sleep, and to get up at nine-thirty.

However, he set his alarm for eight-thirty. He had to go and claim two good spots, and also help her rent fishing gear and set up the rig.

For a quality custor, so thoughtful service was appropriate.

At eight-thirty in the evening, Chu Mingcheng washed his face to wake himself up.

When he ca to the deck with his fishing gear, he found that the good spots were basically all taken.

He was a little surprised. He had thought the dozen or so anglers who had gone trolling in the afternoon would be exhausted, but he hadn't expected them to be so energetic in the evening.

In the end, he found two spots at the junction of the foredeck and the corridor. This spot was also acceptable. He estimated that if he had been any later, this spot would have been gone too.

Chu Mingcheng first called over a crewman and asked about the target fish and their size at the fishing spot, then rented a suitable set of fishing gear from him.

Jiang Yuqi would pay for the fishing gear herself later. He was just helping her rent it.

Today's target fish were around ten jin, mostly what the crewman called ruby fish, followed by so deep-sea groupers.

Chu Mingcheng was not a local and didn't know what he ant by ruby fish, but he estimated it was so kind of red fish from the snapper or sea bream family.

For fish of about ten jin, an 8-strand PE line of size 8 was sufficient. For the leader line, a size 20 carbon line or a steel wire leader would do, as the teeth of groupers were very sharp.

This was the setup for Jiang Yuqi. He himself still used his original set, just with a smaller leader line and hook.

It was just nine o'clock, and the boat hadn't even stopped, but Jiang Yuqi had already co down.

She was very grateful to Chu Mingcheng for helping her claim a spot and rent a fishing rod. "Thanks a lot. If I catch any fish tonight, I'll make you a late-night snack!"

Who knew that Chu Mingcheng would look at her with suspicion? "A late-night snack is fine, but the key is, are your skills any good?"

Although Jiang Yuqi had made lobster before, and her assistant had eaten it with relish, lobster was delicious no matter how you cooked it. It really didn't have much to do with cooking skills.

Raised on Old Chu’s excellent cooking, Chu Mingcheng had developed very high standards for food.

How did he end up breaking up with his ex-girlfriend?

She lacked any self-awareness. He had told her not to cook, but she insisted anyway.

Fine, cook—but she wouldn’t even eat her own food. Instead, she made him taste it first, treating him like a guinea pig. And if he refused, she’d say he didn’t love her.

But the food was always burnt. Did she have no idea if it was even edible?

And then she had the nerve to bring it to him, looking for approval.

How could Chu Mingcheng put up with that?

He sent her away imdiately and said goodbye for good.

Since then, he’d been a little suspicious of the cooking skills of unfamiliar

won—unless they were professional chefs.

"Are you kidding ? You're questioning my skills? I'm a food vlogger, you know. I usually make my own food!" Being questioned about her cooking skills, Jiang Yuqi imdiately flared up.

"Sorry, I'm not targeting you. Maybe it's because my dad is a chef, so my standards for food are a bit high."

Hearing that Chu Mingcheng's dad was a chef, Jiang Yuqi was both envious and guilty, and also a little wronged. She just wanted to thank him.

She was sowhat confident in her cooking, but, of course, it depended on who she was being compared to.

“Well, I think my cooking is pretty good. Since you don’t want to eat it, then forget it!”

Seeing Jiang Yuqi’s sudden deflation, Chu Mingcheng felt an unexpected softness. “Then I’ll cook sothing when I get hungry later. My cooking is okay!”

This girl was interesting—and so petite.

He was an only child. When he was young, he often envied families with cute little sisters and wished he had one too. But his mother’s poor health and, more importantly, China’s strict family planning policies ant they never had a second child.

Later on, with Chen Yang and Zhang Wei as his playmates, he had stopped thinking about having a sister altogether.

Now, seeing Jiang Yuqi’s slight dejection, he felt a bit protective of her.
